The images showed black lines on top of the teeth, a food pocket along the gumline, and a leaking silver filling on one tooth. I was immediately alarmed because I spend a significant amount of time and energy on my dental hygiene. These images did not match what I expected to see given how carefully I care for my teeth. Based on these images, he told me that the leaking silver filling indicated a cavity underneath and that I could lose my tooth if I did not have it replaced. I agreed to have the silver filling on my tooth replaced. Even though he had an x-ray, once he began drilling, he told me he had discovered a "crack" in the tooth. He then proceeded to perform a partial crown (onlay) instead of replacing the filling--which is what I agreed to. I walked in expecting a simple filling replacement. I walked out with a $2,138 partial crown that I never consented to. The black lines and food pocket he had shown me during the first visit were never mentioned again. Instead, he recommended that I get two crowns on two other teeth. I requested copies of the specific images he showed me during that first visit--the leaking silver filling, the black lines on top of the teeth, and the food pocket along the gumline. His office sent me other photos, but not those. When I asked again, they stopped responding. Given that they refused to provide these images, I have no way of knowing if the silver filling was actually leaking. I believe it was not. If it had been, they would have sent me the picture. I then saw another dentist for a second opinion. That dentist confirmed there are no black lines on my teeth. There is no food pocket. Based on the x-ray, there was no evidence indicating that the silver filling had leaked. Regarding the alleged crack discovered during drilling, the second dentist told me this was highly unlikely given that Dmitri Sokol had an x-ray of the tooth before starting the procedure. A crack large enough to require changing the procedure from a simple filling replacement to a partial crown should have been detectable with proper diagnostic tools. The two crowns he recommended were also not needed. The images Dmitri Sokol showed me were not of my teeth. They were used to create fear and urgency to justify work that was not needed. I am sharing this to warn others: get a second opinion before agreeing to any procedure recommended by this office.

This is the…read moredental practice where you can go in, get your teeth cleaned or a cavity filled and actually fall asleep in the dental chair. I know because I've done it. They are that gentle. Dr. Tom seems to have the latest dental technology that can really help catch cavities early. He has a new x-ray machine that makes x-rays a lot more comfortable than those old bite wings. Another technology he has used that really benefited me was the ability to avoid using a crown in certain situations. A few years ago, I had a cavity in a tooth right next to where I previously had a silver filling from long ago. He really needed to drill a lot to get the filling out and to repair that new cavity. This is the type of thing that normally he would need to use a crown. However Dr. Tom explained to me that he had a machine where he could essentially make a 3d puzzle piece for the hole and put it in if I had a little extra time. We could do it in one visit instead of two and it was actually less expensive than a traditional crown. I agreed and have had no issues with his solution. I went in yesterday for a cavity repair and received exactly the same treatment as in the past. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing medicine. They use a topical to make you comfortable. The staff also make sure to tell you what to expect before they do it. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in you and your dental health. They are located near Wolf Circle and very close to a bus and train station. There is ample street and lot parking near the office.

My and my wife's long time dentist, Dr. Steven Theodosis, started to practice here in the last year…read moreor so.  There were various reasons for his recent move, but we have followed him pretty much wherever he goes, and it's been over about 25 years!  Needless to say, his care and maintenance of our dental health have been top-notch and over the years we have also been exposed to his network of excellent dental specialists as well.  He not only has a gentle touch, but his surgical work is excellent, and he clearly explains what he is doing as well.  On top of all of that, he's about as congenial a dentist as you'll ever meet.  And finally, let us not forget the staffers here. Angie is the office manager, and Josie her front desk assistant, and both are pleasant and helpful.  Rachel is their excellent full-time hygienist, also with a nice touch we have found.  Coreen and Alamera are the DA's we have encountered, and both have been helpful and communicative.   It's probably worth mentioning one other important aspect. We don't have dental insurance which is really not uncommon with retirees. I also haven't really checked around but this place is probably not the cheapest for dental services but we go with good experience. They do have an annual maintenance program offering that is a good deal if you decide to be a regular and that includes 20% off of services as well as two cleanings, two exams, and x-rays. Pro-tip:  Just don't call the office on Tuesdays as they are closed that day.  Thank you all for being there for us!

Review of a dental doctor Alexander Kletsel…read more My whole experience with doctor Kletsel work and his office culture is negative. I had two implants installed more than two years ago and I was waiting to start the restoration process. The office of doctor Kletzel was advised by my relative as not a very expensive option and I decided to do the restoration with it. It was a three tooth bridge with two supportive implants. Before the bridge was done, there were some problems with mating parts, then the ordered parts were wrong, then there were no keys to screw the abatements, then, the keys were a different configuration than needed - all these led to multiple visits. Eventually the bridge was ready to be installed. I had multiple implant restorations in the past, but nowhere the restoration was so painful. The feeling was like something is not aligning right and there is a lot of pressure on the gum and on the bone. After a short time after the restoration ( no more than two weeks), I started feeling pain in the area of one implant. The multiple visits to doctor Kletsel didn't bring much relief, but advice to go to the surgeon for evaluation. Probably on my 4th visit to doctor Kletsel he said that I have a fistula and the implant is failing and this is not his job anymore. I went to a surgeon and he tried to save the implant, but when he opened up the area, he concluded that it was impossible and he removed the implant. After some questioning I was told that a bad restoration ( not properly aligned bridge ) could be the cause of the failure, because the implant was healthy for two years and failed right after the restoration. Doctor Kletsel didn't communicate with me after that even though I tried to schedule an office meeting to discuss my situation. Now, the bridge is useless and still in the office, I miss half of my front teeth and the possible remedy might be only a full upper jaw restoration, so instead of having $5000 work done, I am looking at $20000 work. Now, regarding the financial culture of the office. I have paid upfront and I expected the amount paid to the office by my dental insurance to be mailed to me. It took me a month to get a first reimbursement check from the dental office and another month - another check. The office holds on checks probably up to a month after receiving the insurance payment and mailed them only after my inquiry. Before going to doctor Kletsel I was offered a restoration from a very technological dental office, but I decided to save some money - it was a big mistake, I am looking now for much larger pay and a self-humiliation when I replay all this negative experience in my head. I have had more than 10 implants for the course of 15 years and this is the first time I had a failure after the restoration. I understand that problems are always an option with implants, but I believe that as a patient, I deserve at least an office appointment, some plausible explanation and a proposed remedy, which I had received none. This is my sad story about the bad experience with the office of doctor Kletsel.
