We have visited Archie's Almost every week since the start of 2026 My wife and I both have the fish and chips(Cod) which is a large piece of Cod, perfectly paired with a large portion of steak fries with coleslaw and tartar sauce. I normally hold the tartar sauce and coleslaw as I am a purist from Glasgow where fish suppers as they are known (back across the pond)And use the malt vinegar.Without a doubt This is the best fish and chips I hav had the pleasure of eating since I left Scotland in 1967.Craig the Bartender and waiter is Top notch and always has a smile and some words of wisdom for the customers along with his female counterpart they keep the folks entertained.I highly recommend Archie's to anyone who enjoys fish and chips. Archie's has the very best blacken haddock I ever eaten. It's delicious!! They also have great green beans; they are firm and flavorful. Their coleslaw is homemade. It's very good. Worth the drive from I-95 for lunch. Don't let the outside appearance turn you away. Inside this British restaurant is everything we hoped it would be. Not a fast food place, but relaxing and worth the wait. Our server was friendly and attentive at just the right level. Now for the food! We ordered the fish and chips - haddock, beer-battered. The chips are authentic large like they serve in England. Malt vinegar on the tables and tartar sauce served with the plate. We also ordered a side salad that was fresh and loaded with a variety of veggies--carrots, cukes, bell peppers and bleu cheese dressing. They also serve beer and wine. My first time here I was doing a fast so I couldn't eat. My old professor recommended me to this place. He wanted me to order the Scotch egg. I met two very nice older women who recommended the cod or the haddock. I personally feel like I would try the traditional dish of any country or place before I try something else. The next time I come here I do plan on ordering something different and that I have a taste for. Overall it's a nice little place with a British ambiance. In Epcot they have the red phone booth and the fish and chips. I still give it a go to make me feel like I'm in England. read more

I wish I would've tried Archie's sooner. Went in about noon there were no empty tables other than outside. The bar area had two open seats. I absolutely see why. Service was great, attentive & timely. My sandwich was filling, delicious, & flavorful. Salad had plenty of veggies which I really enjoyed. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing was nice. Finally made it here! It's an unassuming little place next to a Dunkin' Donuts. Saw a number of people in and at outside tables so ventured in. Of course we had the fish and chips - cod. It was one big piece of cod done just right. Sides were steak fries, slaw and a tangy tartar sauce. We opted for malt vinegar. Your choices of fish are haddock or cod. I prefer haddock as it is the leaner of the two fish, but they do taste relatively the same. The cod I would say is more oily and is a thicker/fatter fish, so you really notice this in the batter on the fish. It is quicker to get soggy. Haddock is just my preference! The food is super fresh and piping hot when served! The coleslaw really adds some lightness to this dish. Hands down, you won't get better fish and chips anywhere else in town! [Scampi and chips] 10/10. The shrimp were super fresh and paired wonderfully with their cocktail sauce. Definitely another great option! My husband ordered the Rueben for likely the 10th time and it was delicious as always. The sidewinder fries with Archie's ranch is incredible! One of the best restaurant ranches out there!! A good place to eat. It's a British pub in of all places, Florida. I've had there fish & chips and Reubin sandwich. Both were excellent and I washed it down with a Guiness. I like the fact I can set down, get a good lunch with my favorite beer. I very rarely drink beer but when I do, I like a neighborhood pub. It reminds me of the time in Ireland. read more

I can think of three places where I have eaten Fish & Chips that were stellar. London England, the Crown & Anchor Pub in Las Vegas, and Archie's British Restaurant In Melbourne. The Cod and Steak Fries (chips) were perfectly cooked and tartar sauce was excellent and the Onion Rings were off the hook. They have their batter recipe down! Archie's is still one of the best local bars/restaurants in town. It is a small restaurant with limited seating. I come here often and have yet to have a bad meal. They do not have a huge number of beer taps, but they carry a lot of beers other places don't carry. They normally have London Pride, Boddingtons, and Kronneburg Blanco on tap all year round. If I could make one improvement, it would be to tint the front windows. There is a lot of natural light gleaming in the middle of they day. I also wish they were open later, but I understand the amount of business you get during certain times of the day can dictate you business hours. Great local establishment. Great place to grab a pint and get great Shepards pie! Met the owner Amanda while waiting for a table inside. Very small place, limited seating, especially for a Friday evening. Beer was cold, Amanda was super friendly and interesting to speak with. Service was friendly and quick. Onion rings were fantastic, fish and chips were great, and Shepards pie was delicious. A very nice pub-like restaurant in Melbourne - an unexpected find! I did not even know that this restaurant existed. Another restaurant that I usually go to nearby was closing and I was hungry for a late lunch and somebody suggested this place. It is located in the same building and adjacent to Dunkin Donuts. It is the north half of the building. Parking may be limited near the entrance but the building is in the middle of a parking lot so you will be able to find a space to park your vehicle. As you enter, it is truly like a British pub. We were greeted on entering by the gentleman behind the bar. There are about 8 4-person tables around the outer edge of the restaurant and a bar that runs the length of the left side. British memorabilia is everywhere! From flags to trinkets, bulldogs to callboxes, there is plenty to see. There are several televisions playing sports or news near the ceiling. The bartender came over and got our drinks and cleaned the table. I ordered Samosas and a reuben sandwich. They came out in about 15 minutes and were very good. The price was about $40 which is reasonable in our current economy. I enjoyed the experience and plan to visit this location again. read more

After a brief hiatus we decided to head back in for a Friday lunch. One waiter running the whole show. Bar, restaurant area, everything. He was also answering the phones and handling take out. We both ordered fish and chips. Their specialty. This tool 45 minutes. People who sat after were all being served before us. When we finally stopped the waiter / bartender / host to ask where our food was, he said it was given to another table by accident and that the cook was remaking it. When it finally showed up, it was mediocre. The fish was a humongous filet and impossible to eat. Couldn't pick it up. Couldn't cut it cause it just fell apart. It ended up just being a huge pile of mush in our baskets. We've decided to not visit again. Maybe we will change our minds down the road, but for now, it's out of the rotation again. read more
