Worth the drive from I-95 for lunch. Don't let the outside appearance turn you away. Inside this British restaurant is everything we hoped it would be. Not a fast food place, but relaxing and worth the wait. Our server was friendly and attentive at just the right level. Now for the food! We ordered the fish and chips - haddock, beer-battered. The chips are authentic large like they serve in England. Malt vinegar on the tables and tartar sauce served with the plate. We also ordered a side salad that was fresh and loaded with a variety of veggies--carrots, cukes, bell peppers and bleu cheese dressing. They also serve beer and wine. If we were locals this would be a regular dining place. It seemed most of the clientele were locals.

First of all harder to find than I thought. In the same building as a Dunkin' donut. Friendly bartender and some local ladies having a good old time at lunch. We order up some wings and some fish and chips. Wings were pedestrian but what do you expect at a bro ish pub???? Fish and chips were very good. Large portion. They have a nice assortment of beers and if closer to the house I would most likely be a regular.

I wish I would've tried Archie's sooner. Went in about noon there were no empty tables other than outside. The bar area had two open seats. I absolutely see why. Service was great, attentive & timely. My sandwich was filling, delicious, & flavorful. Salad had plenty of veggies which I really enjoyed. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing was nice. Good selection of drafts & wines. Reasonable prices, I'll definitely be back to try the highly recommended fish.

Went there for lunch with girls and we all had fish and chips. Service was fast and friendly. Fish and chips was really good.We had cod. It was tender and juicy. I will go back

Finally made it here! It's an unassuming little place next to a Dunkin' Donuts. Saw a number of people in and at outside tables so ventured in. Of course we had the fish and chips - cod. It was one big piece of cod done just right. Sides were steak fries, slaw and a tangy tartar sauce. We opted for malt vinegar. Bartender says she takes the tartar sauce home for leftover fries- a good idea. Will be back to try halibut next time.

Quick overview: Very quick and friendly service. Cheyenne (waitress) is a dol and Craig (bartender/server) is awesomel! If you have any questions she has great recommendations. Very high quality food. Clean establishment. Great selection of drinks. I've gladly been here several times so it is time I do a review! Details: [Fish and Chips] 10/10. Your choices of fish are haddock or cod. I prefer haddock as it is the leaner of the two fish, but they do taste relatively the same. The cod I would say is more oily and is a thicker/fatter fish, so you really notice this in the batter on the fish. It is quicker to get soggy. Haddock is just my preference! The food is super fresh and piping hot when served! The coleslaw really adds some lightness to this dish. Hands down, you won't get better fish and chips anywhere else in town! [Scampi and chips] 10/10. The shrimp were super fresh and paired wonderfully with their cocktail sauce. Definitely another great option! [Drinks] - They have such a great selection of beers and ciders on tap! I got the Kronenburg Blanc (highly recommend if you've never had it), I will make sure to always order this!

My husband ordered the Rueben for likely the 10th time and it was delicious as always. The sidewinder fries with Archie's ranch is incredible! One of the best restaurant ranches out there!! I ordered the cheesesteak for the first time and it was amazing! The waitstaff was as lively and attentive as ever. See you again soon Archie's!

Delicious fish and chips. We had the fried haddock. The portions are big enough to share.

Classics salty sweet combination made for a great way to open the palate. For the entree, I had the Sriracha Marinated Flat Iron with avocado mashed potatoes. The steak was seasoned perfectly and the avocado mash was creamy and very tasty. I have to steal this idea and make this at home. Our server was very friendly and served our party perfectly. The environment in the restaurant is modern with nice pops of the signature Crush color. Overall an awesome experience for anytime lookin for great food in Melbourne.

I…read moreeven looked up words like gastrique, panzanella, and fettuccini with philosophical intent to order aggressively since it was his turn for the check . I really just went for the insutution of bacon wrapped dates supervised by my wife and is girlfriend (two different people). The Medjool dates with millionaire bacon and goat cheese and I am not exaggerating when I say this dish could solve international conflicts. Sweet pineapple, salty bacon, creamy goat cheese, and a drizzle of what tasted like the chef whispering sweet nothings the way I'm romantic. I was going to order a second dose for "research purposes." Truffle Honey Chicken Tenders (Not Your Childhood Lunchbox) is the most misleading name ever because "tenders" sounds like something you eat in a drive thru parking lot (I'd pick Bojangles of course). These were crispy, sticky, sweet, slightly spicy, and basically the PhD version of chicken fingers a bit dry but the sauce make it good. Brussels sprouts usually remind people of childhood trauma. These charred brussels sprouts with honey, soy, ginger, and peanuts tasted like the chef personally apologized to every person who had ever been forced to eat boiled vegetables in 1987. Smoky, sticky, crunchy, slightly sweet. I would willingly eat vegetables here again, which is a sentence I never thought I would say out loud! We build a strategy to devide an conquer in a unique waiter (I hate the name server, it sounds like tennis) recommendation that was impressive! My brother ordered the heritage pork chop, which looked like it had been bench pressing in the kitchen before arriving at the table. Perfect crust, juicy inside, sitting on sweet potato hash with a slaw piled on top like a fashionable hat and I went with the snapper catch of th day for a surf and turf combo! I considered banging on the door at 3 am for another dose of pork chop like I was in college and wanted the party to go on My brother was impressed with the Blackbird Arise that showed up like it owned the table. He said it was smooth, bold, and dangerous because it makes you start considering dessert when you absolutely do not need dessert. I don't drink so I take his word for it. The women weren't behaving so thy split a smash burger and truffle fries, which means our ordering strategy was clearly "yes." The burger had that glossy brioche bun that looks like it was polished before serving, and the fries were exactly the kind that disappear before you realize you have eaten most of them. A smash burger is supposed to drip greese down your arm and this didn't. This strategy ensured my spot on the couch for bedtime. If you go, order two doses of the dates so you don't have to bring a date.

If you have time the pies are very good. The only reason for the 4 stars is the time we spent waiting for the pies to cook felt like forever and the place was completely empty. I know these take time to cook, but just sitting there waiting felt like forever. I think buying and taking home to cook may be the way to go for these pies if you don't have the time. Pricing was a bit much in comparison to grocery store pies, but the filling sets Proper Pie apart from those in the freezer section. We got a beef and a chicken both were tasty. For us, Proper Pie is a once in a while or grab and take home to bake place, but when we want a meat pie this is the place to go!!! They also have an array of British food selections available. AS ALWAYS TRY IT FOR YOURSELF!!!
