This pub has indoor, outdoor and rooftop bars with good vibes and outdoor music , indoor TVs and food. The staff was overall awesome and some of my friends and I ate-egg rolls, flat bread and it was ok. .I arrived to meet a bunch of coworkers with friends that were local and familiar to the pub and they recommended the orange crush alcoholic beverage that was fairly good but I'm not much of a drinker and don't really like OJ in my alcoholic beverages. We were there during the FIFA soccer matches and enjoyed the one man band also. It's a pretty cute little spot that I would return to however I wasn't impressed with the food I tasted but maybe it was an off night or just the food we ordered wasn't that exciting. I like that they keep a jug of water out with cups so you don't have to keep bothering the staff for water! Worth a stop and within the walking areas of downtown Melbourne action! read more

This place has a great vibe. Great live music tonight out back in the Tiki Bar. Nicely decorated for the holidays. Great service and friendly staff. We ordered a cuban and a RB Press sandwich. We stopped in here for drinks with a group of 4. Place is spacious and has a variety of seating locations which was nice. Good place to sit and have drinks. Service was very slow and a scenario where anytime you want to order something, grab another drink, have a water, get your bill, etc. you have to excessively flag down the waitress. Normally sit outside so I get the bartenders I prefer. It was too chilly yesterday. We came in to eat. The seat I was going to sit in needed to be cleaned. I asked for a napkin so I could wipe it. There were none on the bar. The barback repeated to the bartender in a mocking tone "she wants a napkin to wipe her seat". Why are the napkins being rationed. Don't remember which guy of the two flung the rag at me across the bar. From the angle I was sitting, I couldn't read the specials board. I asked the bartender what it said, he responds "what you want me to read it to you". I asked where were the veggies with the fish dip. Bartender said veggies only come with hummus. In the past (I have pics posted from previous visits) with tomatoes, celery, & carrots. Then when we closed out. We asked for one check (it was three of us) we didn't wanna be a bother since they had an attitude from the start. We paid two ways & he commented on how much my friend tipped (we left what cash we had). With the way we were treated, he should be grateful. Oh & about 20 mins after we arrived another lady asked to use the rag to wipe her seat as well. Why isn't the barback or whoever wiping the seats when ppl leave, smh. Once we left & were walking to the next place. We were rowdy discussing the experience in disbelief & got the attention of two ladies. We said oh we didn't have a good experience at maine st. This place has three identities depending on time of day and where you happen to sit. If you want to sit in a dark pub, walk inside and sit. If you want a tiki bar, head out back. If you want a hip bar experience, head upstairs. They get some bands playing on their outdoor stage that are good. My favorite is "Picture Show". The food is okay. I'm not usually there for the food, but I usually find something on the menu that hits the spot. Service can require a little patience on busy nights, but they are always friendly. The bar staff mixes great cocktails. There's something for everyone here, but that might be what holds it back from being epic in my opinion. read more

This is one of those places you pass a million times and never give it a second thought. I am so glad the name popped up for review, forcing me to stop. This place is truly a hole in the wall. But what a wonderful hole it is! The service manager explained that they slow roast a bottom round daily and slice to order. I requested for one Pub Bleu Sandwich, and to appease those readers who insist that you will live longer avoiding red meat, I ordered one Tuna Salad Sandwich and a Caesar salad. Waiting for my grub, I enjoyed the history of the building I was in. Locals tell of a watering hole here in the 1800s; the actual location of this tale is just behind their Tiki Bar. Seriously cool if you're a history geek. It wasn't long before my chow was ready and after snapping a few pictures, I proceeded to the job at hand. One bite of the Pub Bleu and I knew the service manager to speak true (there is a song in there somewhere). I have never had Bleu cheese this fresh outside of a salad and that roast beef? Holy Bessie on a Rotisserie spit! It was spectacular! The Kaiser roll was just as fresh and the accompanying Au jus was to die for. What a sammich!! Forcing myself to stop at two bites as I had a job to do, not a maw to cram, I grabbed half of the Tuna Salad and took a healthy bite. This is outstanding. If they didn't catch the tuna that morning, I don't know their secret, but this had to be the freshest, tastiest tuna salad I have ever had grace my palate. My final choice was the Caesar salad. This item, like everything else, was made to order. Not only was the dressing spot on but the croutons were made on-site, NOT from Sysco. These immediately took me back to high school and the salad bar in the Senior Cafe at Mel Hi. Remember those croutons? When I leave a place that knows they have done an excellent job, they always invite me back. I usually make some excuses about having to do so many reviews when there is no time; however, I will make an exception for this place. Honestly was not expecting this place to slap as hard as it did! From entrance we were greeted with a warm smile. They let us know there was live music in the back so we headed on out to find a great band and an outdoor bar. Side note, everyone smokes at that bar so if you're not into that and plan on eating, go inside or in the court yard. Food was OUTSTANDING. Have to go back for the sandwich I got. It was something like a prime rib or phili I can't remember but the cheese on it was MMMMM! Service was so great! Every employee that walked by our table checked in on us and I absolutely love that. First time here. Came about 2:30 sat outside downstairs there were 2 other tables outside. We ordered 2 beers and moved to a different table (still outside downstairs) and It's now 2:50 and our waitress has still not come back to ask our order. Not sure what happened, but a new waiter came over to take our order. He was very polite however she went back to serving us. Never said her name. For an app we ordered their Bavarian Soft Salted Pretzel it came out hot and was average. For our entrees we ordered kummelweck sandwich and the beef tacos. Both were tasty. A little while later we ordered another round of drinks from the upstairs bar with no problems and tipped the woman with short bangs as she was so nice. My girlfriend and I went back downstairs to order 3 lemon drops. **I have never seen a lemon drop so small and half empty... but it was $24 and I paid $25...the bartender handed me my change back and made a sarcastic comment thanking us for not tipping and went on to tell the other bartender "hey look they're not tipping." This place has a great orange crush drink, which it is famous for. Pretty expansive menu with lots of options like cram stuffed mushrooms, a wide variety of sandwiches, flatbreads. Quesadillas, and lots of brie cheese and apple options, if you like that. It is pretty loud in the front bar area, as it is pretty small so the noise bounces off of the walls. A live band was playing out back to be honest the music was loud but the place is so big there are so many places to sit that you could totally find somewhere quieter. We just ordered drinks and appetizers and they brought us the drink menu it was so large and nicely organized each page had a list of cocktail's categorized by alcohol type. I had the mango crush and the painkiller both were very good. Our waitress said they were known for the mango crush drink and it's easy to see why it was yummy and refreshing! We tried out Main street pub on Thursday night. Looking for a good bar to take the dogs. Yes out back will surely work, but food is another story. Just come for drinks, you will be happy. A very average French dip, called the kimmel works. No terrible but only average. On the other hand my wife had the worst chicken poppers with tater totes known to the world. We checked this place out because it was one of the only places near our hotel that had a kid's menu and decent vegetarian options. When we walked in, I was worried we made a mistake. It was a bit busier and had more loud patrons getting their drink on than I would have thought for 5pm on a Saturday. There was a bartender (I think?) who rushed over when we came in, he seemed a little annoyed that we were a party of 6 trying to sit together. It was weird... Despite that, the food was actually pretty damn good, and the service was fast. The margaritas were a bit on the small side, but they were tasty. We never complained about the noise, even though it was louder than some rowdy bars I've been to. Our waitress was amazing though and she did what she could to get the loudest of the loud to quiet down a bit. If it hadn't been so ungodly hot and humid outside, we would have sat in the cute patio area, which was much quieter. Food tastes like it's a week old and from St. Patrick's Day (they even had a very simple menu to probably try to get rid of their extra food!). To top it off, the beer (Shock Top) tasted terrible and the keg needed to be replaced. Oddly I came here a week prior to this for just a beer and the same thing happened!
