I like the old fashion style, where the doctor does it all and the tech basically holds the pet and works the billing. This is a much bigger operation and the tech does most of the physical or hands on procedures. It's more like a human hospital in that regard with the techs being more like registered nurses. I can imagine there is a lot of overhead and that is why the cost is considerably more. Still I had some questions after our visit and the doctor cleared up some misunderstanding I had regarding the diagnosis of my pet, so I'm very appreciative of that. This is a costly place though, and we did have to wait, in spite of all the techs and staff.

Turns out that a wet food with pumpkin was the trick. The people are friendly and all know their products really well. The employee on duty said they were transitioning to services and away from retail. I haven't signed up for any training there so I cannot rate them for that. Since I went to Pets West to purchase supplies, treats, toys, and chews, I can say it was a huge disappointment. I attended training classes in the past and may again, but I'm skeptical given the recent reviews about boarding and daycare. On the plus side, the two employees were friendly.

I found Codapet online and booked Dr Kirsten Stukey on a Sunday- 2 weeks before Thanksgiving. She responded quickly after the booking and even came much earlier when I realized my boy was not doing well, and I needed her sooner. She came on time, was kind and patient. She explained everything and answered any questions. I am very grateful to find this service last minute on a weekend. It was more expensive than at the vets office but at home is much much better for your pup. Dr Stukey was great.
