I can't imagine anyone else taking care of my cats and have never had better care for them. When I come home, the cats are relaxed and well fed, the house is clean and all is well. One of the things that I love the most is they ask you what time you'd like them to come and that's when they come! And they're thorough about everything, your house will be just the way you left it. Kelly leaves a little journal about every day so you know how they ate and if anything was unusual. You can tell he really likes them and gets to know them. So I've been a little bit lucky: I don't travel like I used to, and it's pretty rare these days that I don't have anyone to keep an eye on the dog if I'm out of pocket. In fact, I've even been lucky enough to have access to an occasional (non-professional) dog sitter. Alas, she's not always available and knowing that there was little chance of the dog intruding on friends when out of town for a wedding, Abbey's seemed the best bet going. If it makes you a little nervous to consider the idea of folks you don't know watching your hound (in this case, Abbey's was hired to take the pup out twice a day and feed her), I was impressed by the initial meeting with Kimberly, the Abbey's rep. She walked through a variety of scenarios and was super thorough. Also, and I can only assume that most folks' dogs are less anxious than mine, it just made sense to let the pup sleep in her own bed and get a little personal attention in the mean time. And upon return there were notes from each house stop and a copy of the questionnaire that Kimberly brought with her on her first visit. The total settled out to $18.50 a visit, and they're required to spend at least thirty minutes with the dog on each appointment. Which is a good thing if you want your four legged friend to feel looked after while you're away. And one more thing: once you're on the client list, apparently you can book future appointments online. I guess the real question is would I use em again? The thought of leaving my four legged child with a stranger was a little disconcerting. However, when we met our sitter my fears melted away. She seemed to have a genuine love for animals and her job. She went over the entire process and patiently answered all of our questions. While we were gone she gladly answered our calls and texts, and put our minds at ease. Upon returning we found all of our cats bowls were washed and dried and the litter box was cleaned. The sitter left a daily journal which was entertaining at the least and very insightful. Most importantly, our cat was happy and not a bit stressed. When we've left her before by herself we would return to a stressed and almost ferel cat. We will definitely use Abbey's Pet Sitting the next time we go out of town. read more

Love, love, love these guys. They are prompt in getting you scheduled for a pet sitting session (shout out to Lisa for that), they are thorough during your meet and greet, and are great with the pets. Jillian was my pets sitter, and she was great. The animals were happy when we got home, everything was taken care of perfectly. She left us a little booklet about her visits with tons of notes and comments about the dogs and cat. While my cat is sort of a brat, she didn't give up on her and kept trying to find ways to bond. First-time customers and we had a wonderful experience with Barbara! Our dogs are our kids and Barbara not only understood that but attended to every detail that was important to us. This was Princess' first grooming experience. I adopted her for my mother on February 29th. The staff told me she did really good and Mom was pleased when she got back home. Her coat was so shiny and clean. Her nails felt great with a nice clipping. It was a great first experience and that's where we're taking her for the next one. I am amazed at how FANTASTIC this company is! I have used Whisker Washers for grooming my dog for over a year. It was such a relief to not have to drop my sweet pup off at a groomer for 8 hours, knowing she spent the majority of that time in a cage! To have them come to my home and have her grooming done in an hour is amazing. We recently had to be away from home for 2 nights and all of our "dog friendly" friends and family were away with us. I have had to board her a few times and hated it because I knew she was miserable! Since I had been so happy with Whisker Washers I decided to give Abbey's a try. I was impressed by how thorough the registration process was! Kaytlin is the sitter for our area. She came a few days before we were leaving town to meet Teddy Bear. She had a very detailed check list of questions regarding the care of Teddy Bear and our home including everything from how and what to feed her, where the vacuum and cleaning supplies were if needed, what vet she used, what to do if something should happen to our sweet girl, and who to call if something happened to us and we did not return home! All my friends commented that they have never had a babysitter for their children be that concerned! When we returned home I was even more pleased! Teddy Bear was happy, in her own space, and had not gone on a hunger strike like she has done when boarded! There was a very detailed log of each visit describing her behavior (mood), her activity (walks, play, etc.), and what she ate. I will NEVER board her again! Abbey's is the best thing ever! Teddy Bear gets to stay in her comfort zone and our home is not left empty for the time we are away! read more
