I am tired of the overpriced average food places in Yucaipa and then everyone giving them four and five star ratings!!!! Ridiculous, these are BASIC burger joints. I have been in Yucaipa for almost 30 years and the food served by these restaurants has gone downhill, but the prices have skyrocketed for average food and many have shrunk the portions. When we go out for a bite, we leave Yucaipa and dine elsewhere. The GREED MONSTER has made a home here in Yucaipa and Mega Burgers is no different. I am fully aware that everything has increased in price, but yet I find places with very good food, good sized portions and very fair prices. People of Yucaipa, take a stand and stop overpaying and dine outside of Yucaipa. I personally would rather stay in town, but I refuse to overpay. read more

Place is straight bomb!! Since the new owners took over this is our burger spot. Use to go to Nicks in Redlands or Tam's next store and nothing against those two spots but this place is far superior to both. Great options on the menu outside burgers, friendly and speedy staff members, always clean and very accommodating to their guests. I've been to this place twice and both times the food was great. The breakfast burritos were big and burgers were tasty. The second time I ate here, I ate inside. They were on it with the cleaning. I saw three women cleaning (one vacuuming, one cleaning the tables and one cleaning the counter and windows). It tells you a lot about a place when they put the effort in and clean. My husband and I are always in search of local burger places when we travel. We ended up in Yucaipa for a wedding and decided to check this place out before leaving. We are sooo glad we did. The burgers have shredded lettuce which gives burgers the best flavor IMO! Anyways, I totally recommend this spot. Skip the chain burger joint next door and go here! read more

The girl at the register very nice, and the cook even acknowledged us. Burger tasty and fries hot. Service was good but the price I paid is not what I saw on the menu. I found that there is a CC charge to my order which was never explained nor did I see a sign at the register. I just came down from Washington and thought I'd try this place. As far as burgers, it was good, but I'm not used to extra charges without a sign or verbal warning of somekind. I will say I didn't wait long for my meal but there were not that many people inside either. I liked the peppers that came with the meal and the choice of hot sauces. Ordered a Philly cheesesteak and it's not a Philly it's a steak sandwich. Meat is waaaaaaaaay too thick. I couldn't even chew the meat it's was super chewing and way to thick. I ha d to spit out the thick meat. The menu photo shows traditional thin cut steak as it should be. wHat I got was think steak pieces. I kept chewing and chewing, and already chewed up the bread and onions and everything else but I was still sitting there chewing on the meat, and it just grossed me out. I ordered breakfast as well and that came out great but the steak sandwich is not a Philly cheesesteak. Also, they show yellow cheese in the picture with no onions and no bell peppers but I got a sandwich full of bell peppers and onions which they should really specify what's on it especially doesn't match the picture shown. I decided to try this place instead of the one next door. Second time there, the friendly people remembered me, including what I order. They are all so nice in there and a pleasure to see. Fresh food is ready in minutes and nice comfortable booths to eat at. The servers check to see if you need anything and ask how the food is. Food is excellent, and they always have specials. You even get more food with your order than many other places. Prices are very reasonable. Everything is very clean, including the restroom. They even have a large TV to watch. I used to come here before it was bought out and loved it. I've been about four times since the new owners and it's always pretty decent! The fried zucchini is really good. Just wish it came in a smaller portion for cheaper since I end up wasting half of it. Im usually always a repeat customer but I ordered a fish sandwich today as I usually do but I got the ick today and didn't even eat half of it. It was full of fish bones. Like full. I got poked in the mouth several times before I just quit and couldn't even eat it. I know the fish patties are bought out but maybe switch the brand because I won't be coming back for awhile. We were passing through and remembered that this location used to be Philly John's and that they had excellent breakfast burritos. We saw that the building now has new owners and changed their name to Mega Burgers. We went in for breakfast burritos, and they were as good, maybe even better, than Philly John breakfast burritos.
