If I could give zero stars and write a review I would. This place will not take responsibility for a couch manufactured by them. Fought with them for a year after buying this couch and still nothing. Pieces of what I assume is stitching comes out from under the main material after only sitting on it a few times. I've reported this and sent photos. Despite having bought another couch from them previously (which is originally why I came back) that couch was kept in immaculate share but all of a sudden we "use and abuse" our couch and that is why the material frayed a month into owning this couch. & in som parts only a week in. I've been a loyal customer of Mega Furniture for years, and always received great service and great furniture, but all good things must come to an end. On December 8th I purchased a three piece bedroom set, on the 11th the furniture was delivered. When I inspected the furniture I noticed clusters of nail size holes throughout the wood. (Head/Foot board, the dresser, the mirror, and the nightstand) I called Mega and explained the situation, sent them pictures, and now I'm getting the run around from them, the manager won't call me back, no resolutions yet, except for telling me the holes are part of the aesthetic of the furniture. Really!?! I asked them if this is the case, can they at least give me some kind of discount off the amount I paid, it would only be right, and satisfy a long time customer. As of right now, they keep telling me the approval needs to be made by the general manager, but I can't get the manager to call me back. So I'm writing this because of frustration and disappointment from a company that has furnished my home on a number of occasions, and now has turned their backs on me. I bought a couch roughly 9 months ago, and started to have electrical issues with it last month. I went to the store asked about my warranty (which is a 12 month warranty from purchase) and did exactly as asked. As stated it's an electrical issue, the customer service then continuously asked for pictures of the problem. I asked how they'd like pictures of an electrical issue, but still sent over pictures of the portion not working and the appropriate buttons. 2 1/2 weeks later and I have not heard a single thing back from them. I should not have to chase them down. Very disappointed in the customer service at this point. This is not my first time having issues with this store. read more

Great Customer Service I went to Mega Furniture to purchase a bedroom set. Found 2 bed set I liked. I pick a set snd had it delivered. The driver stated the bed set would not work with my mattress. I went back to the store, selected another bed set and had it delivered but same thing happened, delivery guy just looked at the mattress and stated this not going to work. Driver did not even take the bed set off the truck. Linda the sales person and the manager of the store, took charge and had the bed set I picked redelivered and had the display assembly person for the store, meet the delivery guys at my home. Though the prices were ok, not great, I would have made a purchase. However I was turned off from the moment I walked in the door. I absolutely hate being pounced on like a lion's prey the minute I walk in the door and being stalked around a store. Like can I see if I even want anything you have to offer before you start bothering me. This is one of the very reasons I hate going furniture shopping. Even still I was prepared to purchase in full this one set I saw but the turnaround for delivery is what ultimately lost then the sale. When we arrived at the store we were assisted by a very friendly and very helpful person call Mary, she's an excellent person. Unfortunately the service offered by this store is a failure, specifically the delivery service. We made a purchase on May 10 and it was not until June 10 that the delivery was arranged. On the day of delivery I am notified that they will be at my house in an hour, I request permission from work to attend the delivery and they may believe that I waited for two and a half hours and they never arrived. The contact says they are on the way, if on the way to the first delivery, by who knows how long and I was losing work hours because of a person who does not know how to coordinate the delivery time. Though the receipt does state all sales are final is does also state that certain items may be qualify for return approval. I would like to believe Mega Furniture has integrity and do the right thing and allow my time as one to be approved for return. They have no compassion, professionalism, and once items are sold to you they don't care if it gets delivered or how long it would take. I was told from the beginning it takes 2-3 weeks for everything to arrive and well it has now been over a month and they still can't tell me when I will receive the rest of the furniture. Not to mention the copy of the itemized receipt we had has no mention of us buying the extended warranty and the guy who sold it to us conveniently doesn't work there anymore. This place was by far the worst service I've ever received. This is the letter I wrote to the district manager: Having been a victim of the snow and freezing weather we had a few weeks ago, I am in the market for new furniture. My apartment flooded during that time and I had no water for eleven days and was misplaced for nineteen days while repairs were being done. So, on Saturday, March 27th my son came, picked me up to take me to your store. I had seen a couple of things I was interested in on-line and wanted to check them out. Now, in explaining that let me explain this. I am Black, my son is white and his son is half-Asian. Yes, we are a rainbow coalition of a family. We were all wearing Black Lives Matter masks as well. Brandon (I did not get a last name) never greeted us (other than to offer a sales flyer) and followed us around the store the entire time. Like I could shoplift furniture and put it in my pocket. Never once did anyone offer to assist us. Never once did anyone even give us an acknowledgement. Finally, I asked for assistance and Brandon followed us to the set I was looking at when I first walked in. He never offered any information about the set unless I asked, He literally sat and stayed on his phone the entire time until he walked away and someone named Jason took over. He didn't have much information and Brandon came back, sat down and got on his phone again. I finally asked him the price and he started rattling off numbers like he was an auctioneer. He never explained anything...just told me what he was doing and suddenly the cost went from $1600.00 to $2000.00. Even though I loved the furniture and it is exactly what I am looking for I will not spend my money with rude, dismissive people. Obviously, everyone is not treated that way or you would not stay in business.  I suspect Diversity training, and ethnicity training may be needed for some of your staff. Attitude reflects leadership. I would love to hear from someone to discuss this matter further. Please and thank you. Now, in saying all of that I never heard back from anyone after sending this email three times to three different email addresses, and one to include the District Manager. Less than five minutes later they walked back and told me my application was declined. Not good is an under statement. i got a rude delievery person who just wheeled into my dining room and opened a box with my table that contained styrofoam inside and it went all over my floors. He said I should have asked him to open in the garage, how would I know it was packed in Styrofoam!! He said he didn't need to deliver and set up and he could pack up and leave. Instead of apologizing he threatens me for a del and set up I paid for. He leaves the mess. Table is chipped and splintering. And drives off leaving trash in my driveway. Decided to browse on a Sunday with my boyfriend to see what kind of deals they had as far as deals for Black Friday and we were immediately greeted by this lady who said "let me know if you need any help". Personally, I like to take my time and browse but this lady followed us around the entire store and would not leave us alone. I hate the idea of a pushy sales woman. I wanted to have a conversation with my boyfriend about what we were needing, but she was constantly interrupting our conversation and being extremely rude. I asked her a question and she responded in a SUPER condescending tone. As soon as she responded, I grabbed my bfs hand and walked off thinking she'd get the hint that I didn't want her "help" anymore, but no she just kept following us. I will never revisit this store. The sales gentlemen that I spoke with James was a sweetheart from the moment I walked into the building. Sold me a bed set that my wife and I fell in love with. We were told the we would recieve the bed in 3 weeks time because the rail set had to be ordered. Understandable right? Well 3 weeks past. No updates, no calls, no emails...I go to the store personally and was told oh it will be a week or so.. so I said you know what I would like to get a refund. I search online for what I want then go into the store to look at it in person. They have matched my online prices in store which I love. I'm only giving 4 stars because of the shipping and delivery. I ordered two pieces during November 2020 for the Thanksgiving sale. I didn't receive my 2nd piece until March 16 2021. I actually had to call to the customer service warehouse to see when I was going to receive my furniture. Outside of that incident this was my 2nd time purchasing from this location. The friendliness and knowledge that was given was outstanding, also the prices. But when we bought the couch we were told that it would take up to 4 weeks to receive. We were already hesitant to wait that long because we really needed a new couch, but they made us feel confident in our purchase. So we waited the 4 weeks and during that whole time there was no check in, I called/left voicemails to the only number they have to check the status and no answer from the warehouse or customer service. The 4 weeks pass and still nothing. I finally called the store and the lady who was helping me couldn't get ahold of the warehouse either so she sent them an email to check on the status. The next day they call me with an automated recording telling me the date and time frame they would be delivering. (Crazy how the couch is ready to be delivered all of a sudden right after she sends them the email) 2 days from the phone call they're supposed to deliver. I was under the impression that they would call and us together figure out a good day to do so. I call back to confirm on the delivery and AGAIN I can't get ahold of anyone! Do not buy from this place just because of their prices. Spend the extra money to get better service! The store is nice, and the salesmen are good. Except, if something needs to be ordered it'll take over 2 months than the original timeframe stated. They'll continue to give you a new date and lie about when it's "supposed" to arrive. And then when you call them out on it, they'll say "sorry I have no note of that.". To top it all off, it's impossible to even get ahold of the wear-house to schedule a delivery. I've called 5 times a day, at different times for over 2 weeks with no luck of getting anything but a voicemail. If the furniture you want isn't in stock, just go somewhere else. read more

I purchased an Ashley mattress 15" from Mega Furniture Pat Booker on 9/30/2022 for $1,041.37 and received it by delivery on 10/6/2022. The first thing I noticed was that it was a bed in a box. The gentleman who sold it to me, Cisco, assured me that I was not receiving a bed in a box. When the mattress had not inflated within the week and had huge lumps in the middle, I went back to the store and asked for an exchange or refund. I was told to send an email with pictures to CSRTEXAS@megafurnitureusa.com. On 24 Oct, they replied that the mattress was out of stock until mid-November and that I could come in to find a mattress of the same price value or higher only. I asked to refund the money since that was too long of a wait and I had family coming in. They said that the manufacturer, Ashley Furniture, offered the exchange and that I would pay a 40% restocking fee with a refund. I contacted Ashley, and was advised that they would not have offered a new mattress because once the new seller has the product, Ashley is in no way connected with it. After researching the Texas state law, I found that it is illegal for a company to charge a restocking fee when they are being charged in connection with the return of defective merchandise. Under this same law, the sales representative, Cisco, was also prohibited from misrepresentating the product as a regular mattress that was not a bed-in-a- box. 135 complaints about this location are filed on the Better Business Bureau site, which shows a pattern of deceptive practices for this location. 43 Yelp reviews confirm this sentiment. I requested a refund of my money citing the Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) used by Office of the Attorney General to protect Texas consumers. I have yet to receive any refund, mattress, or communication from this store or the overall business. I would like a refund and this is a reasonable request. read more

I will not recommend this place. What a joke. Not sure what the man's name who helped us was, but he was a little too pushy for my taste. He kept looking at me as if I had to hurry up and decide. It wasn't pleasant feeling. It made me feel uncomfortable. A lot of people seem to have no trouble making a snap decision, but I don't like to do that. There was a desk that was OK, but the lighting in this place is very poor and couldn't really tell what color the desk was. It had at least 2 drawers on the left side and zero storage on the right side. He said it came with a hutch. They promised to deliver it Wednesday and it's now Friday and no one knows what's going on. Terrible experience with this company! We went to get a small temporary couch and made sure our salesman understood we needed a couch ASAP. We just moved to Texas and couldn't wait for one to be back ordered. He assured us the warehouse had the one we wanted in stock. We went to the warehouse and waited over and hour and a half, they have 2 people loading one truck at a time from one dock, only to be told they didn't have it in stock. Called the store back and the manager told us to come back to the store. They then offered us the same couch in colors that wouldn't work with small children. Even offered to throw in two tiny bottles of protectant/cleaner...YIPPEE! I asked if they had anything else available in our price range and he said they didn't, wouldn't even to work with us a little. So we got a refund and took our business else where. They sold me a defected bed and when I called to tell them, they tried to make it seem like that's how it came. NO. Their tech came to look at it and he himself said it "could " be defected. He dismissed my questions and kept insisting that the bed came that way .. at that point I've had it with them. I call the store to tell them about what the tech said and they had NO idea what I was talking about, so then I requested a refund and suddenly they had an availability of when my new bed could be delivered. It gets even worse.. The delivery men came and one of them took one look at my current bed (the defected one ) and confirmed that there was 2 MISSING PARTS that they didn't install when they first delivered the bed SMH. The delivery was on time, the deliverymen were courteous and professional. They assembled the sectional and cleaned up thoroughly. We also bought a kitchen table which we carried out. Finally we bought a sideboard that we had delivered just last night. Once again, professional, courteous service, on time and on the day we requested. My husband and I ordered a piece of furniture from Mega Furniture about 1.5 weeks ago. Today, I called to check on the status and was put on hold for about 12 minutes. I eventually hung up because I had not heard from anyone in those 12 minutes. I called back (which took a while because apparently they only have one phone line). This time, she said that she had been trying to reach the warehouse but they had left for the day and she was trying to reach the manager. She told me to give her a couple (2) additional minutes and she would come back and update me. 40 minutes passed and I was on hold the entire time. She never came back to update me. I was at Home Depot so we drove over to the store and guess what.....they were closed. The paper in the window stated they closed at 7, yet I was on hold past that time. This type behavior is unacceptable and I pray they don't treat other paying customers (like my husband and I) with this such behavior because they do not want to do their job.
