We purchased a Regis Sectional for $7499.99 and it was delivered 08/2022 we paid $999.99 for the Guardsman Gold Plan. We have had multiple issues including a broken recliner since March. Let me just say the warranty program SUCKS. They are non-responsive, unprofessional . The saddest part is that Haverty's has nothing to back up their product or the warranty plan they sold to me. Please do not waste your time or money on the Guardsman service plan. This is our second couch and we bought the plan twice. The first time the seams started coming apart and they would not cover it, even though it is stated that it would be covered by the plan. Now we have had a spill and filed a claim and have currently been waiting a week to get a call back for them to set up an appointment to come out and determine if the warranty even covers it. I have spent hours on the phone with customer service, have been told they would call me back, nothing. You aren't allowed to wash or clean anything in the meantime as to not void your warranty. So our couch just sits cover less in the living room for now. I would have never spent the $ for the plan knowing I could probably just wash the cover myself and it would be fine. read more

Haverty's has provided a horrendous experience. I will not return and I will tell everyone I know about my terrible experience. The actual making of the purchase was fine, but once I received my sofas it has not been great. I bought 2 matching sofas, $2000 each so I expected $2000 sofas. I even bought the extended warranty, just in case. The couches arrived and they were kind of smashed but the pillows that form the back of the couch are kind of saggy as are the sitting cushions. when you sit, the cushion goes all the way to the seat. We complained about it multiple times had people sent over and nothing was resolved. NOW, we're having to submit a claim through the warranty company and we went through this long process of filling out an online clain to be told at the and that we have to print and mail it in as well. That seems like really bad form, as if they expect me to be lazy, and not mai it in because that would be easy for them. It's disappointing and infuriating. Their protection 5 year policy is really only good for 5 whole days. The marble table we purchased was not sealed correctly and the finish is coming off. We reached out on day 3 to let them know of the issue and they assured us they would replace it. 28 days later and 24 hours before tech is due to arrive they called and cancelled and said its user error. They said we could reach out to the warranty company but told us to lie and say we just were unaware of who to reach out too in order to get around the 5 day claim window. This company is awful. As I have reviewed the previous statements from other customers, there seems to be a revolving theme with Haverty's customer service, poor communication and false promises regarding their fulfillment times. As another dissatisfied customer stated, verbal commitments that were premature to date, followed by a printed estimated delivery date between (10-12 weeks for custom orders), only to be disappointed by delivery delays FAR beyond the printed date. Although management (Angie) and staff was notified was notified of our customer satisfactory issue, there was no effort to communicate with us; oh, except for the phone meeting Angie scheduled with my husband and never attended, nor followed up on (that was more than a month ago). Also, I believe this is the only furniture store that charges for shipping no matter the purchase threshold. 12K for couches, shouldn't warrant a $500 shipping charge, period. After I expressed this, it was only a "well you can pick them up, we don't do free delivery". I believe that Maris is the best employee that have there based on our experience with her and after reviewing others' good praises of her. Stars furniture from here on out. read more

Haverty's was recommended to us right after we bought a new home in Selma, TX. (we had not heard of them before moving here from California.) This referral was the best. We have had Sandi Rosen as our sales rep and am quite pleased that she is the one that greeted us when we walked in. We have also worked with the decorator, Marice, who is another delightful person to work with. We have found all of the personnel that work at The Forumstore to be very personable. We started with Haverty's for a bed frame and had expanded to a bedroom ensemble, some living room furniture and now moving to the dining room. We have found the prices quite reasonable and the quality to be very good; the delivery men are nice and professional. The whole experience in working with Haverty's at The Forum has been an excellent experience with a regret being our home will soon will be furnished. read more

my delivery date was 2 weeks out didn't come, called said 1 more week didn't come, called again said 1 more week, today was the delivery date I took the day off and the truck came only to drop off a box of cleaning supplies not my recliners! after they didn't show the 3rd time I came to the store for a refund, I sat outside a locked door from 10 to 10:10 calling multiple times til someone answered and opened the door, then was told they have a "process" for refunds and she couldn't do anything to override it, I asked for a number for someone higher and u guessed it she didn't know this either so I sat there while on the phone with customer service promising her I wasn't leaving til I got ahold of her boss and had this resolved, then found the number to corporate called them and gave it to her so in the future she has it for when a customer ask (never met an employee who didn't have their bosses number) once I did that magically she found a way to get my refund went straight to lazy boy within 20 minutes had to recliners in the bed of my truck. Don't waste your time here. Honesty goes along way with customers and Havertys forum is lacking this in every employee at this location branch manager especially and lost my business forever because of it read more

Walked in this evening. Never felt SO discriminated against . I am Not a flashy person nor do I carry myself "snobby". Let me say I can walk in and pay for my house of furniture with no issues. I walked in and not one person said hi. The manager looked at me and looked the other way. A very sweet lady named Maris noticed no one said anything to us and apologized . I gave her my info so they'll know we are perfectly capable to shop there . Soooo frustrating because we were the only Hispanics in there . All others older white people who quickly were greeted . The beginning part of the shopping experience was decent I was greeted shown where items could be found in the the store. I was helped in regard to pricing availability leadtimes etc. Once I placed the order it took a few days for me to realize that the lead time provided verbally (4-6 wks) and lead times documented in their contracts (10-12 wks) were off by several weeks. I feel it's important for the sales person (veteran) to at the very least communicate what's on the paper. Order was placed in early February and was not delivered until August. I did take the current circumstances in the world into consideration however it was I that had to request communication. I received one email in regards to the shut down due to covid and when they opened a few weeks later (3) and still took 4 months after they reopened and no updates on my order throughout the whole process unless I called . When I called I was provided estimated arrival dates with no follow up. When I called again I was told the couch had been completed and were shipping and still two months later from that cal and no couches and no call. Finally a week ago they came. Wrong pillows and damage under the chase. I immediately shared with delivery crew who then instructed me to take the pics and call it in. In the end the service was far below average, the communication was horrible, the "white glove service" was for me to do it myself. I did receive a credit for 300.00 for the pillows that were wrong so I could purchase my own (since I did not want to wait the estimate 10-12 weeks for them to be corrected. Over all , bad information at initial contact , no follow up from sales person , 6 months wait time for couches with minimal communication even when management was contacted, incorrect product (pillows). Below average delivery service. This review is consistent was the reviews I had read previously and hesitated but once I had my heart set on the couch I ended up buying I was hopeful my experience would be different. So far the product is nice looking and comfortable it's only a week in so I will repost in a year how my Laney sectional holds up. Advice if you do business here , be prepared to do all the follow up , expect extended lead times, inspect your order and take your own pictures and call in while delivery company is there. Ordered a king bed frame and 2 night stands on March 30, 2021. Today (July1, 2021) I cancelled the order after 3 months of waiting for the bed to arrive since it was backordered. I made the 25% down payment in good faith. I was called repeatedly for 3 months to accept delivery of the 2 nightstands, which I refused. I explained over and over again the order was placed as a "whole order" and that is how it was to be delivered. We love Havertys and have been purchasing furniture from them for over 20 years. The service has always been amazing. We like working with Maris, ThElma and Sandy. They are absolutely the best. We always purchase the Guardian protection plan to cover our furniture. In the last 2 years we have purchased 2 sofas, a love seat, 3 chairs, chest, a mattress , a dining room set and several other pieces of furniture. The sofas we bought came with throw pillows and we have had a problem with them, the manager of the store ( I believe her name is Kyle ) said they were not covered by the protection plan even though they were a part of the sofa. I know that not to be true. My biggest problem with her was her lack of appreciation for our long time loyalty. When it was discussed with her I was also purchasing 2 chairs. If it weren't for the other wonderful ladies I would have walked out and purchased chairs else where. She is not the face of Havertys and needs training in customer service. I have had sciatic problems this running season and it has been very upsetting. I went to Haverty's to try to find an orthopedic chair that will help me sit while I do homework. I was promptly greeted by a nice man who immediately showed me what I needed to see. He went over the different types of chairs and how each one would affect my back. That part was very efficient. My biggest beef are the prices. $500 for one chair that doesn't even recline sends chills down my spine. I got distracted and even became too overwhelmed by all of the choices. I decided to just sit in a massage chair and talked with the sales man for another 20 minutes. Those massage chairs are amazing and I will go back to sit in them from time to time. My mom and I walked into Haverty's and were greeted by a nice lady named Kristin. She showed us some desks and we looked around. The one I liked was white, but in the end my mom and I decided that white would get too dirty in the long term. She wasn't pushy and let us talk amongst ourselves. The price though was a little high even with the sale. The total was over $2K with taxes and delivery. Very nice furniture and the store is very nice and the lighting is OK. We went into Mega Furniture before this and the lighting was horrible, plus the employee who helped us there was a little too pushy for me. Kristin let us be and she gave us paper with our preferred item in this store. The only downside to her is that she smelled as if she took a bath in her perfume. I am not sensitive to scents, but my mom is so it made her uncomfortable. Nonetheless, this place will definitely get another look see in the future if we need anything else. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Please go elsewhere to buy your furniture. We purchased the black wrangler couch in Nov of 2016. It had tears along the stitching and holes in the couch in Jan 2017. I called the customer service number and they sent someone out to our home to check it out. The guy came over analyzed it told me it's not his decision and would take the pics and sent them to Atlanta where someone there would make a decision as to whether to fix it or replace it. He left and 2 hours later I get a call from customer service closing my ticket-saying the technician said it was NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR!!!!!! Really for a 2 month old couch. To make a very long saga short, they sent out a manager who finally decided to fix it. 2 months later they were going to send the same technician out to fix my couch. I called customer service and refused to gave him enter my home for the 4 to 5 hours it would take to replace this torn seats. So we are in the month of August and I finally raised enough hell with the right person and demanded my money back. They came to pick up the couch and after another month returned my money. They stated the problem was technical difficulties with their computer system. There is so much more but it's too much to type. PLEASE SAFE YOURSELF TIME AND STRESS and take your hard earned MONEY ELSEWHERE. ALSO STAY AWAY FROM ROB THE SALESMAN. He is the worst. The added pic is not of the hole. She showed us a great selection, and made the purchase process as simple as possible. Two were clearly having a disagreement regarding commission on an early sale, and "who's customer that was". And this supposedly the most tenured employee of that store?? She clearly lacks the decency to not make surrounding customers feel like this company is just in it for their money. Had a great experience here! Joni, the sales manager, was very helpful and worked around our schedule for delivery. She also gave us a good deal on our master bedroom set. The prices are not cheap, but they are not super expensive either. It's good that they aren't cheap though, because in the end it's about the quality and how long your furniture will last. You can tell the qualify of their merchandise is very durable and is the kind that will last a long time! They have great financing options too. First of all If I could rate zero I would. Second, my wife and I walk into their store and yes we were killing time (we were killing time across the parking lot for 30 mins waiting on the notary man to show up) and as we walk in the doors we were greeted kindly by an older woman and asked what brought us in today. My wife replied, we are just killing time and that there was no need to help us, we were just looking. The older woman replied, well you guys are my "up" and we are based off of commission so if you two could walk on over to Panera or some other store I'd appreciate it. (We were both appalled/stunned/speachless) I reiterated that she didn't need to shadow us that we were just looking and she continued to say that we would count as her "up and that the next customers to walk in the door would go to the next person. I wanted it to be clear that she told my wife and I that we could not look around? And she actually said that she would appreciate it. Last thing I said was this was the first and last time I'd walk through their doors. So as we walked back to the car is disbelief of how we were just treated we sat furious silence until I decided to call the store manager. He himself was in disbelief I told him that I was in walking distance of the store and met him outside. He handled the situation perfectly and we are thrilled to begin working with him! The store manager, Todd Omodt, was very patient and went above and beyond to help me find beautiful pieces within my budget. They have a wide selection of stylish, affordable furniture. If you visit during a sale you will also find incredible markdowns on discontinued lines and floor models.. I was very impressed that I received the same outstanding customer service while purchase small completion items and accessories, as customers who were purchasing rooms of furniture and spending several times the amount that I was spending. I purchased the extended warranty but after weeks of calling and talking to them in person, they told me the damage isn't covered but wouldn't tell me why. My husband actually ended up getting on a ladder and moving the pier tops out a few inches, which resolved the gap problem (something we could not get Haverty's to resolve or even care about for almost two months). Now we are trying to get them to come back out and finish assembling this piece (yeah, we've had miscellaneous assembly parts lying around our living room for almost two months) and they can't even do that right.
