I love this place, prices are great customer service is great, and not a single complaint about their selection! So we went to see if they would take our dvds, flat screen tv, Roku gen 3, and dvd player. We waited while 4 people stood behind the counter and didn't acknowledge us. When someone finally spoke up they were curt and stated they no longer bought DVDs or dvd players. Further the tvs have to be from 2017 or newer. They suggested we go to goodwill. We drove a half hour to sell our things because their website said they bought dvds, tvs, etc. I can understand the age of the tv limit, however it would be nice if they kept their website updated with these things so people don't waste a bunch of time and gas. It also wouldn't hurt to be a bit more courteous as well. read more

I was talking to a buddy of mine who just finished his home theater and he was all excited about watching the latest Star Wars in 7.1 digital audio that he bought at Target "8 individual speakers of dedicated audio". So I ask him how does he get 7.1 to play because my blue ray disc never play in anything above 5.1 on my home theater, he says it plays automatic and so does mine in theory. Now I thought about what would cause only 5.1 to play on my equipment and I had a theory in my head that I wanted to test so I needed a newer blue ray disc that specifically says 7.1 on the back of the case. To test my theory I didn't need an absolute new full price Best Buy blue ray disc so I looked for a used one and stumbled on this store. I never new such a store existed that had all things audio, video, gaming, computers, cameras, tablets, game consoles etc used at a lower price point. The blue ray section had a nice assortment of discs from $5.99 to $19.99 which I though was great pricing. I have not bought a movie in for ever because I use Red Box and Netflix for my blue rays. My theory was proven correct because my Avengers: age of Ultron 7.1 played in 7.1 audio, the first time I have ever seen 7.1 show on my receiver. Here is why I have never seen 7.1 before, rental blue ray discs are stripped down discs that play 5.1 from Red Box and Netflix so if you have a home theater and want to get the best sound, you can't rent discs and have to buy them. From now on if I'm wanting the great sound from a certain movie like "Transformers " for example I know I have to buy the home edition. This store was a nice find and helped me test my theory so if you have a movie that you want to watch in 7.1 or higher for the awesome sound you will need to buy the disc and not rent it. Please keep in mind that if you get a used Blue ray here that that's all you get so if you want the combo with digital copy and DVD than this is not for you. read more

Poor selection of video games. A couple of staff were not wearing masks when we walked in. Asked them to mask up and they did but one of the guys gave his coworker a sarcastic look when my son asked them to mask up. I have an underlying health condition and don't appreciate the looks especially when there is a statewide mask order in place. I did not at all feel welcome there. Then a customer came in with no mask to be seen anywhere and nobody said anything to him. That is when I left. I can go to Half Price books for the same items or Amazon. Its safer there and always mask compliant! There is a decent selection of dvds if you could care less for health and safety. Not returning until I get immunization so who knows when that will be. Its too bad because we used to love that place. read more

Thumbs down on customer service. Big sign states returns for in store credit only. Nope... rules change as it is convenient for them. Would not allow my return and he stated " if we took all returns we might as well be a video rental store." Alright-y then! I have purchased several dvds in the last month that skip and I didn't return them. I just put up with it-thinking you get what you pay for! Well, $5.99 breaks the bank at Mega Media Exchange. No exchanges here at Brookfield. They say a person is likely to tell 20 people of a bad experience. I hope it reaches more than that. Run don't walk away. read more

I used to love this store, and I am a very loyal customer who comes here to raid the DVD shelves at least once a month. Those days are over I guess. Ridiculous return policies, those of which are not even followed by employees. I asked my mother to return a more for me as a favor since I had to work OT this week and I knew she'd be in Brookfield. I had the receipt and was within 7 days of purchasing, and I told my mother in store credit is just fine. They would not even give her in store credit. The manager was apparently not at all understanding or professional, so it's not like there was another manager there that my mother could consult for help. Too bad, I used to like it here. On a side note, it is very common that I would buy a used DVD from them that would skip and visibly had scratches. I never saved my receipts in those previous cases so I was denied in store credit then, so I thought I'd be in the clear seeing as though I had my receipt with this recent DVD return. I guess nothing is acceptable for returns here, so why not have a "no returns" policy?? read more

I came in to buy a movie for research and wanted to support a local business instead of just buying from Amazon, but from now on I'll just buy from an independent Ebay seller instead. The manager was indifferent and kind of an a-hole to be honest. I won't even share my experience because it seems silly to gripe about a couple of dollars. Needless to say their logic was was completely ridiculous. But I can take a company policy lying down--some companies/stores can't or won't make moves to help make a customer walk away satisfied. It was more the attitude of the manager, who gave me about 5 seconds and walked away. I'm just not gonna shop here or give them any more of my money. I'd rather support someone who gives a damn about the customer, or even pretends to even. I've bought here before and the employees were cool. But not today, so today I am Larry David or Jerry Seinfeld writing a review on Yelp out of spite. You lost a customer and I'm sure you don't care anyway. read more

Excellent prices on DVD's and games. They have a decent selection of video games including very old systems like NES and Sega. They have video game systems for sale too. I been going there for GameCube games lately and they have a small decent selection. I just bought a used WiiU game that was much cheaper than going to Gamestop. They also sell new game consoles that play old NES and Super Nintendo games. They also sell new controllers for old games. read more

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place, however, while I've always received good service and are always well stocked, but this review has nothing do to with that, believe me, I continue to shop there and already am planning to purchase a game council. Here's my concern, I have been collecting old school Pokemon games and they have helped me achieve this feat, BUT I am aware that the batteries have run dry on many of these older games, which is sad in itself, but when I make it a point of asking if the stock batteries have been replaced and am told they "have been replaced", then I expect to be paying (which these older games, especially Pokemon, are not cheap, $45 for a single cart.) For a game, I can pop into my GameBoy Color and start playing right away which I cannot do because instead, I'm having to replace the batteries myself. I wouldn't be upset had the employees just been honest and upfront in the first place, (because really? I'd still buy Pokemon.) As I said before, I will continue to buy things from this company because they are always well stocked and it's always fun to look around and see what new things I may be able to add to my collection. I already have my eye on a system, however, it'd be really cool if they told the customer if they didn't in fact ever intend to change the batteries on older gameboy/Gameboy color games. read more

This store has the best prices for movies, video games and cds. All the disks are in perfect condition because they have this amazing machine that take the scratches out before you buy them. The staff is very helpful and friendly. After the store remodel everything is very clean and well put together. It is easy to find what you are looking for because everything is in alphabetical order. If they don't have what you are looking for they will put your name down on reserve and call you when they get it in. I would recommend this store to anyone! read more

I use to really like this location. It wasn't big, but the counter guys were knowledgeable and they played great music. Then they "expanded" and there is still the same amount of stuff, but a bigger building. They didn't add books or game guides...and although some of the prices are great compared to Gamestop, it seems like the same things no one wants in mass quantity. Some games are priced great deals, other are more expensive than Amazon. The worst thing is the unknowledeable staff of girls and the loud dance club music you would expect to hear in a cheap woman's clothing store in the mall or at a gym bursting with douchebags... read more

Worst store of all the mega media xchanges!! DO NOT SELL YOUR STUFF HERE!! They mark up what you SELL them about 1000% All the other Mega Media Xchanges will pay you at least $1.50 as the cheapest price for any movie you SELL them. The Brookfield store gives you a quarter of twenty five cents per movie and Maybe a dollar if your lucky for a brand new movie, then turn around and SELL it to some unlucky customer for $9.99. Lesson is, if selling any dvds, games or anything at all. Goto any other store!! read more

Staff is illiterate when it comes to technology. First was offered 55 dollars for a Samsung Galaxy 4 tab. Got to the store, had to wait 40!!!!!! Minutes before they told me that they would give 40 dollars because they have overstock. Item is new 340 dollars in store, used. 3 times. The terribly inefficient employee could not get the WiFi to work, eventhough I used it on the same day at home. Then the person claimed that the camera does not work as quickly as it should, because for some unknown, stupid reason they are picky with tablets. Thing is almost brand new, warranty has not even expired. Picky my you know what. Convenient, because when I got to the car camera responded instantaneous. Forgot to mention the employees are rude, ignorant and condescending. Then the so called manager said that they would not take it. WTF? Let me wait for 40 minutes while you can run a tablet test via a pc within 5 minutes. Never going here ever again and if you value time, I suggest don't go here as well!!!! read more

My first experience there was okay, I had gotten a defective DS, that would shut off anytime that i closed it. 60$ great deal right? They do not buy any games unless it has the inserts, which was mildly annoying. I was in there today, and overheard a couple talking about wanting to get playstation 4 with a game for 100 dollars. My fiance even turned to them and said don't, it prob doesn't work. I bought a game from there a week ago for my birthday, which was defected, but they have signs saying if it works in our machine its not defective. They pretty said sucks to suck because we were on the 7th day, so I'm out 17 bucks. When we went today, Not one person in the store sad hello, they ended up talking about the previous customers assuming they had no idea that there were still customers in the store. A ton of gossiping, and selfie taking. Not good customer service at all. Will only be back for 50 cent cds, that are also defective. read more
