This is "my" Walmart. While It's not the best Walmart I've been to, over the eleven plus years I've…read morelived in the area, I've seen positive changes made which justify a five star rating. These changes include a commitment to diversity (though you might not be able to see it right now as people come and go); a commitment to a cleaner store and cleaner bathrooms; a commitment to a super-friendly and efficient pharmacy staff; and overall staff who are willing to help you find what you need. Moreover, I've found that (generally speaking) most of the people who shop there are kind and helpful if you need it though most people keep to themselves nowadays (as we really should in this post-COVID-19 world). I noticed the changes when the store made its last major changes with respects to the location of items somewhere around the beginning of the year. When I first moved here, I would've given everything except the pharmacy one star no doubt. Now, I'm appreciative of the people there. My only complaint is that they'd keep moving stuff around but I hope that's over except for normal holiday season/seasonal changes.

Meijer has become less consumer friendly than it was a couple decades ago. They had a policy of…read moregood prices only if you buy 2, 3 or more of an item, which they have eased off of lately. They often charge more for larger quantity items per ounce or pound, expecting that consumers will not look at the price per unit and another trick is to vary the price per unit by using different units of measure, making it more difficult to compute which is the better deal. If they mix liters, quarts, ccs and ounces in a liquid such as soft drinks, it is not customer friendly. I know other do these same techniques as well, but I started shopping Meijer in the early 70s and expected more of them.

For the last 4 1/2 years, my kids, grandmother sends the money for Christmas and their birthdays from California. I went two days before Christmas to go pick up money that she sent for them. The lady asked me why she is sending the money. I told her that their father has schizophrenia and she kind of steps in and is there for my kids for him. After I told her that she accused me of laundering money and told me to leave immediately. I was completely shocked. And asked if I could talk to a manager because I'm not sure what's going on. The manager was talking to the CSR and then came over to me and didn't even listen to me and yelled at me and told me to get out. I left and cried in my car for a good hour and a half and will never go back there again. I called Corporate and told them what was going on and they apologize and said I could go to another Walmart to pick up the money.(which I did) They also said the store manager would call me to get more details and that person never called me My first job was at that Walmart I can't believe that this happened I can't help but think that this happened because my kids grandmother's name is Zee Thao Seems like customer service may be very discriminating

When we went to return some unused unopened pet supplies without a receipt we were only asking for store credit so we could get milk eggs bread. They told me that they no longer do that when their return policy was on the counter stating that they do so a manager came up named Rose. She was instantly rude, dismissive and condescending saying that returns are at the manager's discretion when it clearly said it's at the system's discretion whether the system accepts the return or not. Not once did we raise our voice we were simply asking her questions about the return policy and why she was telling us something different than what the policy stated was. She asked us to leave and never returned to the store on what grounds did she kick us out of the store she had no right. We went back to get her name and she had the nerve to be standing in a circle with a group of employees laughing about us. Corporate has been called in formal complaint has been filed. I feel discriminated against, harassed and I'm completely appalled. I'm literally shaking I'm so upset I've been shopping there for 15 years my pharmacy is there and now I can't return because I was simply asking questions. Do not shop at Walmart in plainwell discriminatory management, terrible customer service and unfair treatment.
