The staff is nice. I prefer Kroger to Meijer. I often see things at this Meijer that are way out of date. Sometimes, they're marked down, and sometimes they're not. They're just sitting on the shelf noticeably expired and no one's going to buy them. Unfortunately, I've experienced that several times at this location; in the meat department, produce, and dairy. Be sure to check your dates!

Selection is adequate, but not superior. Registers used to have long waits, but they've put in a lot more self service checkouts.

I see that Meijers cheeseburgers went up 30 cents! Forget these! I won't buy any at this price! Phooey!

Gritty, chaotic, and sketchy; for better food, head across Alex-Bell to Kroger.

I don't really come here to shop anymore as we are not too far from The Greene, Liberty Township, or a bunch of the shopping plazas in Mason. I stop in periodically when I need to do some quick shopping around home.

The shoe repair shop is still there and has been open forever but never see customers. On a weekend this place used to be busy with shoppers and popular place to meet up. Saw as many mall walkers as shoppers. Most shops had no one but a an employee. How do they stay open. Speaking of that alot of places have moved out and been replaced by something ridiculous like ball cap store or cats. Most all the stores I used to go to are gone. Jcpenny and Macy's are still there but very few shopping. In Penny's only saw 1 employee in the whole place and they were at the downstairs register. Only 1 open in 3 levels. How are people not robbing them blind. At Macy's they had a few ladies covering the perfume area but no customers. Sadly everything is going to online shopping and that makes buying fragrance a gamble. But from what we saw I'd say the mall is at risk of closing.

She was slow at checking her out. She even mislead her that the 60% discount didn't apply unless she got the card but in a plausible and confusing way. The lady did ask and she told the truth about the discount but then said, "but you said you were going to get the card" when the lady changed her mind. Then she didn't apply my discount which amounted to $150 until I asked even though that was the deal of the day... week? Not sure if JC Penny management is shady or if it was this cashier.

This store seemed more than adequate…read moreand it's only a few (7?) years old--there used to be a mall entrance here that I used a lot. Many of their stores are getting a makeover because they just haven't done more than survive, but they've slowly pruned away candy, furniture, auto service, and more since the 1960s. Ron Johnson was going to re-make the company and now, he's gone within 2 years. The store had customers but no more than Macy's and Macy's usually has better sales. What this particular store has going for it is Sephora. In bigger cities, Sephora is a big draw, but without millions of people in the area, they apparently didn't want to open a store of their own. There should be some reivisions to the store because they've planned plenty of upgrades to offer boutique-like shopping with new lines of clothes to boost their sales. If they don't do something soon enough, they could be gone. Kohl's and Macy's are eating their lunch.
