11/24- We are new to Virginia and needed an inspection done on our vehicle, walked in and was greeted with a smile, the lovely woman set my appointment for the next morning. Arrived a few minutes early, they took my car back on time and it was done quickly. The inspector even put my new tags on for me which was super helpful to me. 7/25- Third visit to this shop and another successful visit. I get this is a corporate brand company but when you walk in you feel like you are more in a small mom and pop shop. All the same smiling faces. This is an honest and fair shop that isn't looking just to make a dollar. Their interactions show they really care for their customers and keeping their cars safe. This place is outrageous! I took my mother's car to get inspected as a gift. They failed it (which is not the problem) and gave me a print out of everything that needed to be fixed. The total cost was over 1k and the immediate cost of fixing the brake pads was over 600. I have changed brake pads myself so I know with absolute certainty that is total rip off. I showed everything to my father who is a mechanic himself and he was livid. Do NOT take your car here. Especially if you're a woman. Update: took it to a mechanic on Timberlake and received the same information regarding rear brakes. Instead of charging me $615, I was charged $95. Imagine that! read more

We were traveling through Lynchburg last week and noticed a knocking sound in our Nissan Murano. After calling the Lynchburg Nissan dealership and sensing they did not want our business, we took it to the Meineke Car Care Center. These friendly, knowledgeable, competent, and honest mechanics noticed that a tire had not been secured after another company in our town had done a tire rotation. We were so fortunate we hadn't had an accident during the 2 1/2 hour drive! These guys at Meineke secured the tire, made sure no damage had been done, and then didn't charge us at all!!! What a contrast to the Nissan dealership that had wanted $138 just to look at the car! We highly recommend Meineke in Forest, and if we ever need car work done again during one of our frequent trips to Lynchburg, we will take it there. read more

Had exhaust system come apart on my 2012 Chrysler 300 with less than 90,000 miles on it. The pipe came apart in front of the resonator. It was in a bind from the factory and everything else was good. They could have sold me an entire exhaust system and I would not have been the wiser. Got out with $129.00 bill for welding in a spacer and put me back on road. Redd Nunley (Senior Service Advisor) and Brett Harris (mechanic/welder) are good examples of honest businessmen. They have new customers even though we are 1+ hours away. Also observed how they treated 2 other customers (young girls/women). Again they could have taken advantage of them. They did not. This group needs to open a shop down here at SML. I had an Appointment to get an Oil change at 11 A.M. and when I walked in the service area was full and so were the Bays, but because I had Appt. they worked me in and did a great job. The Guys there do an outstanding job always, and if you are ever in the service area listen to how they talk to customers on the phone and are so helpful trying to work them in. Came here based on the reviews and boy was I disappointed. Went in for a simple state inspection and I knew I need wiper blades so no big deal about that. Where the problem arose was when they told me I needed a new ball joint on my drivers side. I told them to reject the vehicle and I would replace the part myself. I take a day off of work drive to my hometown to repair the vehicle. I take it to two different shops and both said there wasn't a problem with the ball joint and in fact the second passed the vehicle. I got to thinking and I had to replace the entire suspension on that side 20,000 miles ago due to an accident. The passenger side is the original and still going sting at 122,000 miles. Not sure if the mechanics are just not good or if they are trying to take peoples money who don't know a lot about cars. Beware. read more

EXCELLENT SERVICE! I live 3 hours from Lynchburg. My elderly mother's car was taken to a shop between Lynchburg and Boonsboro on 501. Sat there for over a month without being fixed. I called that shop sometimes 4-5 times a day trying to get a diagnosis and estimate... to no avail. A friend suggested that we get the car over to Meineke in Forest. BAM! They fixed it in no time, did it right, and the car was back on the road the same day! Thanks to everyone there for a job well done and for your fantastically responsive service. I cannot rave enough about how great this shop is, I poured window washer fluid in the brake line system before I drove across the country, i needed to get my line flushed and I called several places that couldn't fit me in until this afternoon... I wouldn't stop here if you are female, that's for sure! I went in to get an oil change and my car inspected. I was given a rejection sticker for dirty headlights, a loose headlight, bad tire rods and an alignment. The price quoted to me was $1,100! Clearly, I wanted a second opinion. I took my car to another garage and had two inspectors inspect the vehicle, including the garage's owner. The total bill: $16, the cost of a new inspection. Nothing was wrong with my vehicle and it was completely safe. So, I really hope it was worth losing a customer and getting a terrible review to try and make some money off females that come into your shop. I will make sure to NOT recommend your services. read more
