Today 4/2/26 around 9:45. I was assulted by the clirk at the store because they hit and damaged my bumper. A clirk there pinned me against the deak and his chest. Bumped his chest into mine, and shouted in my face that I was old. He scared me and I was fearful that he would hit me. Is that the way they are trained to treat customers ? I walked in. There were two men at the counters with one on the phone. I greeted them and said hello gentlemen and was greeted back by an open hand and no comment back. He went back to his screen and ignored me. I asked if he was working on something, He said "Sir I'm working on another ticket so I'm not just staring off in space! " I told him I got his point and walked out the door. I now realize the open hand was a Stop! Hand gesture. I got the point that Mr. Tire doesn't need my business and it will not ever get it. AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!! I scheduled an appointment a week in advance to have my tires aligned at 7:30am. They did not even start working on my vehicle until 1pm. They also tried to charge me for a tire rotation and balance after I specifically told them I only wanted the alignment. The employee at the front desk ignored me when I walked in and was not helpful in the slightest. Take your business elsewhere or you will regret it. I stopped by today to have them check my tire that had a slow leak (still holding air, had not gone flat). I was told there was a hole too large to patch and since my vehicle is an AWD I would need 4 new tires. Told the gentleman that I had another set of tires at home they could just put my tire back on. If you want your car to be completely messed up take a risk and take your car to one of Mr. Tire's establishments. look at what they left in my front wheel brake assembly. the place that finally fixed the problem when my car became a complete mess after a brake pad replacement and alignment said it was obvious that the mechanic had forgotten the wire in there. Apparently mechanics often use wires like this to hold things up while replacing brake pads. in the end I spent another $1200 on to of the $600 I had spent at Mr Tire to fix my car. Despite the irrefutable evidence from an independent source Mr. Tire refuses to reimburse my completely unnecessary expenses. read more

After 2 bad experiences on only 2 visits, I'm Never going back! I had 2 tires mounted and balanced on 2 rims that I brought in. The mngr. said there would be no charge. I assumed because he wanted my repeat business. When I got home to mount my 2 rims with new tires, I noticed the 1 tire was installed backwards. No wonder they said no charge. They assumed I wouldn't catch that big mistake, & that's why they didn't mention as well as no charge. I had no choice, but to get them to remount and balanced because I needed the tires to shed water correctly. The 2nd. bad experience was today, again with 2 tires but this time with my car. After 60 min., my car never made it into a bay. If they were all full, I probably would've waited; but only 1 bay was being used. Nothing about Mr. Carson, please give us 20 or 30 more minutes. I'm NEVER going back! read more

I went in on 2/5/2025 and had a tire replaced, took about 45 minutes to do just one tire. I had to get the other tires replaced so I went to the one in Madison Heights and when I told the front desk that I just needed the three other ironman tires he said okay sounds good I just have to get them sent from Timberlake store so come back at 3. I come back at 3 they take my car immediately in the bay. He comes out about 5 minutes later and says "ma'am are you sure you got your tire replaced"? I said yes sir the receipt is beside my seat, he goes out to my car and grabs the receipt, comes back in and says okay well ma'am you don't have a new tire on your car anywhere. Me in complete shock because I know FOR A FACT that I paid for a brand new tire and a mount and balance. He says well the tire that you paid to be replaced is in fact a Cooper-Endeavor that is pretty worn down. So, I call the Timberlake location, and he tries to tell me that I am lying, and it had been over a week, he wasn't sure where I had been in a week and that I probably went somewhere else and got them to remove the Ironman tire and put a USED Cooper tire on the car?!? Okay I must sound crazy at this point because why on earth would I pay 100 for a tire and a mount and balance just for me to go somewhere else and do the same exact thing but put a used tire back on my car. He proceeded to say that he wasn't trying to sound like a jerk but I'm not sure what you expect me to do. So, he gets on the phone with the manager of the Madison Heights location, and he also confirms that the Ironman tire is in fact not on the car. So, I just ended up getting 4 brand new tires instead of just getting 3 like I had planned. The front-end guy comes outside where I'm standing and tells me that the other manager is going to be calling me back because he went searching the back for the tire that is supposed to be on my vehicle and indeed found it in the back. So he told me that he was going to refund me for the tire and he apologized. Now I completely understand that mistakes happen but his words to me was that people do this kind of thing all the time trying to get free stuff. If I'm up her to get 3 tires why would I try to get one for free? It was just a whole situation that was crazy and being told that I was lying about something that I paid for and had the proof was absurd to me. But the one thing I would like to know is whose tire did I get put on my car? Now if this tire would have blown on me while driving with my 3 kids in the car would I have been to blame? It was just a very unprofessional way to handle things and being talked to like that by a manager was very rude and disrespectful. But big shout out to the Madison Heights crew that got my car the new tires and alignment it needed, and it only took them an hour and 30 minutes to complete the job. read more

An absolute waste of my time, was promised they could look at my oil sensor this morning and get it replaced if needed. I needed the service quickly as I am on the road and was supposed to be somewhere at 2pm (which I'm now 4 hours late to). Finally was just told all they did was plug it in to check the computer readout, which I had already told them would not show up as it is fluctuating on and off. He said a service tech would not actually be in until Monday now, as opposed to what I was previously told. A complete waste of 6 hours of my time. Inept and inaccurate in their service. First of all They broke my lug nut lock key and said they just get old but only been used 4 or 5 times? Then I make an appt. for 8:30 for oil change and state inspection( giving them another chance). I get there at 8:25, am told that the inspection guy doesn't come in till 11:00 and had 2 people in front of me and they don't even make appts. for inspections? Waited till 9:00 and my car was still sitting outside with no explanation so I left...BEWARE this shop is NOT customer friendly and does not take responsibility for your goods, and is rather expensive. read more

After AAA had towed it to a place that was awful and I realized that I was being scammed, I took my car here. The men here were VERY accommodating and patient with all my worries after dealing with the other company. My experience was fine, at first. They had reviewed my entire tire car and had stated that I was fine for an extensive roadtrip to southern Florida. It was advised that I replaced my brake pads and my rotors so I did and went on my trip. I am now in Florida and my car is up in smoke and an overwhelming scent. This auto shop had put on the brake pads on ....slanted (not sure how they messed that up) and had melted all of the brakes on that side of my car. Which this then had caused my car to overheat tremendously and my engine had run out of coolant. Additionally the melting had caused other parts to melt. Additionally they had failed to see that only a single bolt was holding up my gas tank. Which means they had failed to see the 7 rusted bolts... not exactly sure how this was a complete disaster, but if they had told me of this information I would have saved thousands. I can't believe how they could mess this up that poorly... extremely disappointed DO NOT GO HERE. A WASTE OF MONEY AND THEYLL RUIN YOUR VEHICLE. read more

I take my car here for oil changes, inspections, and have had them perform relatively minor repairs. I have never gotten the feeling that they are recommending anything I don't actually need, and I've not had any problem with anything they've done for me. They're always accommodating as can be expected with scheduling a visit, and Joel, the manager, is very easy to deal with. I haven't always taken my car to this type of "corporate" garage (like Monro, Meineke, etc.), but this one, at this location, has always done right by me. This auto shop is my go-to for oil changes, inspections, and repairs. The men at the front desk are always very friendly (despite being very busy) and I appreciate their patience trying to shuffle a line of people at the desk and the phone ringing constantly. I've had multiple oil changes, multiple inspections, and tires replaced/aligned/rotated at this facility. They have always done a wonderful job and are the best priced in town. The downside is, yes, there is often a wait. You cannot just show up and expect them to fit you in immediately. I expect to drop my car off every time and pick it up later in the day. They often are fully booked every single day and they have to take on the appointments before the walk-ins. Yes, you can get in and out of Jiffy Lube in 20 minutes but Jiffy Lube charges double to triple what Mr. Tire charges for an oil change, so I'm happy to drop it off and wait. They've never recommended outlandish items for my vehicles, they have provided solutions that are more affordable (mentioning my air filter needs changed and telling me how much it'll cost them to do it vs. how much it would cost if I do it myself since it's a very simple repair), and are respectful. I highly recommend them! read more

I had an emergency with one of my brake calipers while in town from Florida. The shop worked me in on a Saturday and diagnosed the problem caused by another shop's work. They could've diagnosed a worse problem and charged a lot of money and I wouldn't have been able to tell if it was right or not. I had my car towed up there and after paying over $230 had to have it towed away to another shop to be repaired. That's $140 just in towing. Was recommended to me by a friend but then after I took the car in for an inspection and an oil change they recommended that I change out my brake fluid and that I had build up of carbon somewhere. I agree to let them fix those two issues and they gave me the price estimate at that time. Then they call me back a lil bit later. Afterwards they gave me a phone call and told me that I needed to also have my brakes fixed are they asked me if I had ever experienced problems with my brakes and I told them No they offered to fix my car for free since the issue began at the shop. read more

Did an online appointment request Monday morning for a state inspection on Monday afternoon and received a call telling me that the inspector was off and would be able to fit me in this morning at 8:30, I pushed back and said it would need to be 9:30 as I had an early morning online meeting till 9. He said they could do 9, so I did my online meeting from bear there location so I could be there at 9. The person in front of me in line had set an inspection appointment for 9:30 and was being told that the person doing inspections was behind 2+ hours and would n't be able to do it till 11. After some back and forth he rescheduled. When I got to the counter I explained I had a 9 am inspection appointment and the guy turned to his co-worker and said "oh I have to go through this again" then turned to me and said "there is a bleed over from yesterday and he is 2 to 3 hours behind". I let him know that I would go elsewhere and he said "thanks for being so cool about this" and to "enjoy it out there". Mr. Tire has now failed me twice in less than a month at two different locations (see Old Forest RD location reviews, for the first fiasco). This isn't baseball there will not be a strike 3. Drove to Jiffylube on Timberlake just down the street and they are doing my inspection as I am typing this at 9:38 am. read more

I got my oil changed here, and it was fast and pretty cheap. However, I never returned because a friend had a huge problem - they installed the filter wrong and his engine ended up ruined. He went to court with them and got some money, but it took forever and he was without a car. I'd rather not go through the hassle, stick with other oil changes. read more
