They damaged my camera by bending the prong wire off, they made me wait 3 hours for a state inspection, they also told me they don't do inspections on the weekend which no body informed me before coming there, and they also tried to get me to buy one tire for 140 dollars which they're suppose to be cheap. Went in for an oil change and inspection- was told it would be 2hrs for an inspection so we opted for just an oil change. Left us sitting in the car for 40 minutes when there were open bays, and employees just walking around/talking. Also, two employees were acting inappropriately affectionate in the bays. Several employees were standing around, on their phones, or having conversations while people are waiting on simple oil changes. They also noted on the paper work that they refilled the washer fluid- which they did not. Also noted that we "declined" having the tires filled up- when they never even asked. read more

Called ahead about an inspection, arrived and was first in line - then I got to sit there and wait while I guess they finished their conversation?Not sure why I was left there, but if no one else is in the bays, at least come over and take the keys or something. Oil changes for the car. Jiffy Lube has been around forever now and I won't go into the details of what they do as I think we all have that down by now. What this location does is offer you all kinds of incentives to upsell you on more than just the usual ole oil change. Typically the cost is good enough to get you to take the offer and skip the coupon you have in your pocket that you are just about to whip out. As long as you don't fall for the old "dirty cabin filter" display, you will get out of there for a reasonable price. Those filters look like crap 10 minutes after you put them in, so don't fall for it- go buy one at the auto store and it takes all of 2 seconds to put it in. Waiting area is adequate and they get you on your way quickly. Give it a shot. read more

No appointments taken at this location. There was a 15 minute wait here on a Sunday morning. There appeared to be 4 employees on duty - only 3 of which appeared to be doing real work. The oil change itself seemed to be legit, since I watched it from the customer waiting room window. Know in advance that the waiting room was uncomfortable, as the heat was not working so it was colder inside than it was outside. Also, from a health and safety standpoint, it's a bit challenging to believe that the store was committed to customer well being, when the windows and door looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a year. Overall, not a deal breaker though. The trust was broken at check out. The check-in/check-out employee let me know my total and I let him know I had a coupon. He said that his system would not allow the coupon for $20 off that I had given him. He said he could accept a $10 coupon though. I let him know that I chose Jiffy Lube due to the coupon. He said since his system couldn't accept the code (20OFFSS) he couldn't do anything. I challenged him to find a way to take it, and he said there was nothing he could do. This circle of asking and being denied went on for a few minutes until I asked for the contact information for the manager and owner. At that point, he turned to a co-worker and yelled "Hey, I got one for ya," and smirked. The other employee asked him what was going on and then provided a work around for the problem. I confronted the cashier and told him he could have saved us both time and aggravation if he would have reached out to the other employee when the problem happened, rather than escalating the issue and making a customer mad. He shrugged his shoulders and said "I do what I am told to do." So, in the end, I got the price I expected, but I have to wonder, how many other customers are lured into this location with the $20 coupon bait and switch...... :( read more

Horribe service manager! I was given a quote of $450 to bring the car in for a tune up. Then the service manager said it was a mistake and the service would be $600! He then told me he was busy after I was told to arrive Monday morning. I took 1/2 day off of work for the work to be complete. The entire time I was waiting, the service manager was very rude if I asked any question. He walked away screaming, "Jesus Christ!" I asked a simple question. Everyone in the room said he was a mean. I don't understand why someone is allowed to be disrespectful to customers. This service manager should not represent this company. I have been to other locations and have received great care. He went upstairs every 10-15 minutes for some reason. He kept leaving the service area. He constantly cursed at the employees ! I can never give business to this location again. read more

I want to warn people not to waste time visiting the Jiffy Lube on Timberlake. Several years ago, I had considerable experience regarding my oil change, so I stopped going there for oil change services. I assumed the car state inspection would differ, but I stand corrected. The gentleman who conducted the inspection left at 4 pm and shut down the shop a little after 3 pm. I arrived at 11 Am for him to work on my car, only to wait 2 hours. The car owner in front of me complained and mentioned, " I've been seated for the past 2 hours, and no one came to update me on the car." They gave the first car owner his key, and the inspector mentioned he thought someone had come and informed him the car was done; meanwhile, my car was still sitting out when I thought it was done. I had to ask for the car since I didn't expect to wait for 3 hours when I was the next car in line. The inspector mentioned it would take another 2 hours for him to inspect my car. I asked for my Key and drove to the Jiffy Lube in Forest. The gentleman at that location, named Tob, was professional, and within 45 minutes, I had my car. I reside in Timberlake; I'm willing to do the extra drive to avoid Jiffy Lube at that location. Anyone who goes there for service, go at your own risk. read more

Wow.... they earned an F- They did not check and fill other fluids, window, radiator, or break. .. they just did not .. you did not deliver your service! You have an original and you make a copy and then a copy of a copy and a copy of that copy in you soon have nothing like the original. That is your staff at this Jiffy Lube. Not professional, no work ethic, do not listen and customer service is less than optimal. I wish I could find the words to say how unprofessional. The story is .. hey please fill it a quart light so I can add my special oil additive, yes sir. Sir, you need a light in the back can we replace it for you... sure a bit over $9 plus change. They did not tell me it was not in stock and they had to order it. The three of them most stood around joking and carrying on while cars sat there, while my car sat there. So how long on my car. They are changing the light... a few minutes later .. oh we had to order it will be 5 minutes... #0 minutes later sire your car ready. Did you fill it quart light? Oh .. no. back to drain a quart of oil Ove an hour.... Oh 1.5 closer to two hours. Hay owner you are not there you need to see this team lack of performance and non-professional behavior. read more

Worst place to do oil change I took my car few days ago and they broke the thing that opens the hood

I am freakishly safe about driving & repairs. I was heading home from visiting family and I suddenly heard my brake pads scraping when I was 200 miles from my destination. I didn't even have to drive one exit away. Hubby found this Jiffy Lube and been happy with previous service. The entire team was very nice. David, the mechanic in charge of the repair, was great about explaining the job in layman's terms. Everything on the car is a "thingy" to me. I arrived after 3pm on a Sunday. I left my car at the shop & had family pick me up. I have sat in grungy Jiffy Lubes closer to home. The waiting area is clean & has a nice wall mounted television. My "go-to" Jiffy Lube at home has nice service, but a smaller lobby area. This location has an additional room with a desk (free Wifi & computer available) and a kiddie table stocked with toys. There is free coffee but no vending machines. The employees did a great job at fixing my car. They close at 5pm on Sundays but stay later to finish projects. My car was ready by 10:30am on Monday. The mechanic team fixed what was necessary and didn't invent other problems just to charge more money. They are honest and efficient. I would suggest this location to locals. It is too far for me to visit regularly but I would return if possible. read more

Had brakes put on my car and asked them to get the best ones available and they put the cheapest brakes possible and also instead of put new rotors or even turning the rotors they put the old ones back on and didn't lube the slide pin for disk brakes causing the caliper to get stuck and warp the rotor and ruin new brakes. When I took the car to another shop they said the where the caliper meets the pads were stuck to the pads from the heat and also that jiffy lube broke pieces off of the caliber when compressing it. Talked to Joel on the phone and he was rude as can be about it and acted like his "brake guy" knows what he's doing but i went up there Friday his group of shop helpers. I had a wonderful experience with our local Jiffy Lube! I called a couple times throughout the week to check when a state inspection was offered and both men I talked to were super happy, kind and helpful! The day of the inspection, everyone there was so nice and helpful. After the inspection was done, I asked if they check tire pressure and they said yes AND they could take me back again right then and check it for free! They were speedy and so helpful and kind! I have never had a problem with Jiffy Lube and had thought them a good place. However this all changed when they told me 3 times they changed my blinker light and it keeps going out after I leave their location. On top of that he tried to charge me way too much for my oil change and I know that's not how much I paid last time. Worst service, horrible management and nothing gets fixed. Honestly save your money and do not go to the one on Timberlake. They're rude and unprofessional and try to rip you off. Beware the young, inexperienced consumer! We had always relied on Jiffy Lube for quick, reliable decent oil change and we know how to avoid the sales pitch and just get the oil change. But, today we sent our youngest to get an oil change for the very first time and boy, did they see him coming! Next thing I know, he's texting me saying he didn't expect it to cost $95! Well, neither did we. In talking to him, he said that they made him feel that his engine needed to be cleaned in order to get the oil changed. They also told him that for his mileage (only 140,000miles on a 20 year old car!) the premium oil would be best! Well, fortunately, I called and put a halt to the situation. The manager did listen to the explanation that my son had brought in a coupon for a basic oil change and that is all he ended would be paying for. The guys here are super nice. They are polite and pulled up all my information from Texas on the computer. They have a waiting room that is kid friendly which is GREAT!! They have a kids table and chairs with toys. Two rocking chairs for adults. Along with a row of chairs in front of the tv. They offer Keurig coffee. Best Jiffy Lube in Lynchburg. Much friendlier staff, huge waiting room, and faster turn over time. I have had bad experiences at others in town so finding this place was a relief. They don't do brakes which is why I've had to go to others, but I'm so thankful I was able to get my oil changed at this location. Great experience. Wonderful service. read more

Currently waiting for my oil change. It's been 30 min and counting. This place is more of a miss than a hit, but I come back hoping it'll get better it doesn't. It seems like something bad happens to my car every time I get my oil changed here. I keep giving it the benefit of the doubt, but I'm done. More often than not, they don't vacuum, once in a while, they clean the windows, but it always says that they did all of that in the receipt. :/ it seems like they prey on fear and up charge as much as they can, so women and young people, be wary. Update: their receipt TODAY said that they vacuumed and cleaned my windows, and that I had approved and not approved some services (like the windshield wiper and the air filter, etc)... they didn't ask me to approve or decline anything. They just made it up. That's concerning. So when I brought this up, the cashier said that I could wait to get those done, "Because the Bay is full" I asked for a discount instead (Bc I'm not going to wait longer for something they should've done). The cashier was demeaning and disrespectful about this whole thing. Her manager told her to give me a $5 discount. She also initially refused to honor a $5 coupon. Do not go here. Nobody knows how to work on cars here. Firstly they were confused by my oil filter, they couldn't figure out why the new oil filter wasn't going in because they forget to take out the obvious rubber ring that they left in there. Then they advertise full service. They didn't vacuum my car. They didn't fill up my coolant, and they told me specifically that they filled up my power steering fluid, but they never took off the plastic cover on my engine that you have to take off in order to reach the power steering reservoir. When I got in my car and turned my wheel I immediately realized that my power steering fluid was still low because of the obvious symptoms of the grinding in my steering. I asked them to fill it up and they apologized and went under my hood. A couple seconds later they walked up to me with the cap to my clutch fluid and asked if that was my power steering cap. I said no and then took off the plastic engine cover and the cap to show them. They mentioned to each other that they had not even take that off. They then filled it up, and put my cover back on. When I turned my car back on I could immediately tell that my power steering fluid was still low. I then went under the hood and I found that the assistant manager that was there working on my car had literally just placed the plastic engine cover back on rather than snapping it in place it was just sitting there. Then I told him it was still low and I had already paid for it to be filled up and told twice that it was full. When I got home I realized the lack of vacuuming inside and I realized that they had over filled the oil. I had to empty it a little myself to protect my engine. When I called the shop the same assistant manager answered and when I started talking about what was wrong with my car he hung up on me. I called again and asked for my money back, and I was told I would get a call the next day from the manager that never happened. I'm still waiting to get a refund. I believe the assistant manager's name is Tyler, but I'm not positive. For anybody at the shop that's wondering it was a male assistant manager working the counter on 11/20. Whatever you do don't go here unless you want to get ripped off and have your car damaged and just generally not taken care of. read more

This is single handedly the worst place to take your vehicles to. It is my fault for continuing to have them service my truck, but every time I come for an oil change or some other service I leave it here for them to work on. I have never had them finish a job in under 4 hours and them always having some excuse. I can never get a serious answer from them and its always something wrong with my vehicle, even though I have brought three different vehicles here. Time after time after time, they can never just change brakes in a reasonable time. Either you cannot do the job, or you have inadequate employees Jiffy Lube. Figure it out! If you cannot complete the job, at least tell me so I can take it to someone that knows what they're doing. Don't just take it apart and then realize you bit off more than you can chew. I need my vehicle and more times then not, this store has kept it overnight, or taken hours on end to complete tasks you advertise that you do in a "jiffy". DO NOT bring your vehicles here! NEVER CHANGED THE OIL BUT CHARGED US!! The biggest mistake we made - taking my BMW X3 for a simple oil change. We are on a short weekend trip for homecoming. We planned on visiting friends we haven't seen in 5 years. I thought taking it to the place where they only do oil changes was a good idea. Obviously NOT!! The attendant spilled oil all over my engine I now have a loud noise the car is bucking and my check engine light is on. When his manager corrected him, he was only able to curse back. Now we have to go to the dealership to get it fixed so we can make is safely back to NJ. Prior to this I had absolutely no issues with my car. The best is that I was offered a free oil change as remuneration for this matter. My expectation is a full refund for today's oil change and they will pay for my BMW service visit. If you have a BMW DON'T GO HERE!!!!' Missed dinner with my friends - thanks!!!!! UPDATE: When they changed the oil the technician threw out a piece of the filter which was necessary. Guess he felt if he didn't know what it was it's was smart to throw away. The most disturbing aspect is that the oil was not changed. Confirmed at the BMW dealer. I went in for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Shortly after they began work on my car, one of the service workers came to the waiting area, stood close to me, and in an irritated, rushed and rude tone of voice, told me, "Your break pads have nothing on them. You need to get those replaced. They have nothing on them. Want us to replace them?" I was surprised because my brakes seemed fine. I told him I was planning on getting my car looked at after I went home and my dad knew about the issue. He said in a huff that I had to get those fixed sooner rather than later. I got home and took my car to the dealership I got it from and had it looked at by specialists in the vehicle I own. The brakes were checked and found to be just fine! Guy said the pads could last another year, if not more. I definitely did not appreciate the service worker at jiffy lube trying to bully me into a repair I didn't need. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! Went there for a standard oil change, I drive a very common car w/ common engine and oil type (Subaru outback 2003 v6 5w-30 oil). The woman who helped me (seemed like a manager) was extremely unprofessional sitting in the lobby next to costumers eating candy and talking on the phone with her boyfriend about shoe shopping, shouting at me from across the lobby asking me questions about my car instead of standing behind the desk LOOKING AT MY INFORMATION like she should have been (you cant make this up). A guy came in and told me I had no oil on my dipstick and spoke to this woman about my car. She proceeded to tell me they no longer carry my type of oil because 'no one uses it any more' and it was 'going bad on the shelf'. First of all WHAT?! Haha 'no one uses it anymore'? I find that completely ridiculous, second I find it VERY hard to believe that oil is going bad on the shelf that rapidly. It takes a while for it to be in an unusable state. They also got all kinds of information about my car WRONG which I think is worse than anything they could do. They could have destroyed my engine. Since they were trying to charge me 60 dollars for a standard oil change I left and decided to do it myself. Upon opening my hood I took a glance at the oil cap and instantly realized this woman and her employees must have been on drugs. She got my oil type wrong. So so so completely wrong; she told me over and over and over I need 10w-30 for my vehicle, even though my oil cap CLEARLY says 5w-30. Why would she ever go against the manufacturer oil type without my consent? That is extremely concerning!! They also got the information of my previous oil change wrong telling me I previously had a standard oil change when I was 100% sure I got a high milage, I even have the receipt to prove it. I do NOT under ANY circumstances recommend going here. Clearly the staff has been poorly trained and disciplined. You are better off doing it yourself or going to Harris tire on forest road because ANYTHING would be better than this craphole. After reading every review here (All posted within a month of my posting) it is clear that if you are trying to decide to go to jiffy lube or not consider your mind made up. I came in for just a oil change and I understand that part of the service technicians job is to suggest replacement of the filters for various areas. I agreed with the him and stated I don't have he money at the moment to replace and understood they were bad. He then quickly changed his attitude toward me and walked out to door into the garage area cursing me under his breath along the lines of mother f****r. I truly do not appreciate the lack of professionalism and surely will not return here. I will also see to it that I make sure my friends and family and their friends also stay away. Fairly quick service if there are no cars in the bay. However do NOT waste your money on the headlight restoration. What a joke! This will only last about 30 days. They will do it a second time but after I was promised it would be free if they ever faded. I chose this instead replacing my headlights. Big mistake. Also they will deflate your tires if you run them on max pressure. I won't be back after 4 years o service I've had enough. read more
