If you're looking for utmost glitz and glamour from a mechanic shop, then pass this place right on up. The property RIGHT NEXT TO IT is overrun with grass and weeds. The building itself isn't rundown, but by no means is the building brand new. I expect a mechanic shop to have grit to showcase they actually work and they don't mind getting dirty. I forget, every year, to do my yearly inspection. Surely enough, looking at the blue sticker in my window showcases my forgetfulness. There are a multitude of places in Houston metropolitan area that does this inspection, but I wanted close to home and in & out service. I called these guys and they informed me they had an open slot. I show up and was nicely greeted and was asked if I was the one that called. They took all necessary information and got my vehicle right in and out. I can only gauge them based off the service I needed and the quality of service I was given. If any other work is needed and I utilize them, I'll adjust my rating accordingly. read more

If I could give a negative stars I would. I initially took my vehicle requesting to have my exhaust checked and my catalytic converter changed on 2.27. They told my husband that they were fine but it only needed a tune up. Paid $1172 for service drove him 10 mins and that was the last time my car ran. So 2 weeks later they come Back and oh yeah your catalytic converter's do need to be replaced new total is $2980 ummm no sir not when you misdiagnosed it originally. I requested to speak with the owner no response to date. Fast forward to 3.22 my car is ready they still want me to pay almost $3k for the new service not even offsetting the original service that wasn't needed . 3.24 my car is back at Meineke all sort os safety lights flashing and sounds and my car sounds like a diesel .3.26 still no car! read more

beware of this place... They offered to pull window up for free until we had a chance to get new motor in and not only could they not get window up all the way, but now cant open door from inside.... Had to take car to real mechanic shop to have new motor put in and window fixed. Wont be taking any of my cars to this place.. read more

Just to say i used to live in the neighborhood behind it, moved but still drive 30mins to go to this location. Went to the one in old louetta, does not compare. Even if it takes time (cuz i forget to make an appt) i'll choose this location over any. Love it. read more

I've had a few experiences here. None of them were entirely positive. The mechanics here are excellent when they make it into work, very fair and honest. In the front, Not so much. Inability to communicate. I had an experience of them telling a young woman exaggerated lies in an attempt to pressure her to buy what they wanted to sell. Not at an inflated price. Just nonsense to push her to say yes. Things like the bottom of her car will fall off, and the car will die and have to be junked if she doesn't fix this one small leak in her transmission right now, lol. Granted, they were not inflating the price, just using deception to push her to buy. Nice big shop. Great location. Never seen this in a Meinekie before, so I am sure they will get there. I have a dodge charger r/t and it was leaking oil bad. I suspected it was the rear main seal so I brought it in to be replaced on 10/26. They changed it out and had it ready in a couple of days. Thanks to their full diagnostics, I got a couple of other things done and I picked it up on 10/31. I've put about 1,000 miles on it since then and there are no oil leaks. I am writing this review to share my experience and help others make better decision about taking their cars to this Meneike location. This shop used to be my go-to shop because I like to support local business. Not anymore. In December, my car started to make squeaking noises on the rear driver side. From quick visual inspection, the pad worn out unevenly and I brought to them for full diagnose. They misdiagnosed my car and told me only the brakes and pads were the problem. However, after changing the pad/rotor, the problem continues to persist. I paid them for diagnose, labor to remove and replace supplied parts. I continued to bring my car to them for other repair service after the brake/pad change. Now, my car starts to make humming noises. Caliper seizes and wears out my newly bought pad/rotor on the exact same location before the new pad/rotor replaced in December. It was a total of three times I that brought my car in before and after the rotor/pad replaced. They never said my caliper was a root cause. Now they try to blame that caliper can break down any time. Calipers doesn't break out all the sudden. I only put in 4,700 miles since I had my new pad/rotor installed and now the pad is thinning out and shows wear-indicators. Now they said because I didn't buy warranty for their labor. I should not be buying warranty for their negligence. They are mechanics and should be competent at what they do. I trust them to diagnose my car properly and paid them to fix my car. They failed to do their jobs correctly and unreasonably said, "You have to pay again if you want us to install the calipers." Calipers don't break down all the sudden. There are signs to it, and they overlooked the inspection THREE times. How can a competent mechanics overlook that issue? I drive quite minimal, and calipers should not be rapidly damage after 4,700 miles without being caught. A good mechanics will take the time to diagnose the problem properly and thoroughly. Instead of questioning themselves why pads worn out unevenly to begin with, they spin out a baloney reason like caliper can damage out of the blue. I understand mistakes are unavoidable, however, it is the attitude not taking the ownership to remedy the issue and trying to justify excuses for their mistake, which irks me even more. This is not how you build an ethical business to improve customer loyalty and satisfaction. Save yourself some time and research for other local auto repair shops. I had my 2016 Chrysler 200 been worked on an Oil Pressure Sensor (removed and replaced) on Mar/02/2023. But after the worked done, I only used my car for one day and the check engine light came back (because of that Oil Pressure Sensor issue from the beginning). So, I was afraid to drive my car more will cause damage to the engine, I had my car tow back to their shop (tow receipt was $218). This time they kept my car for a week and could not fix the issue and the check engine light was ON, still. Again, I had my car towed a second time (tow receipt $140) to AutoNation dealership to fix my car. To make this story short. AutoNation replace my Oil Sensor (Meineke r&r defective part). My car is running perfectly fine now. I would not recommend that shop to any one. read more

This place did a tune up on my mustang gt and put the wrong coils in it. The car kept misfiring they charged me $2500. I didn't find out until I went to auto zone to pick up a new coil until they ran the part numbers and things didn't add up. Customer service is also trash read more

I took my car to an auto repair shop so that they could fix an issue with my wheel. After I picked the car up from the shop I drove less than 50 miles and the wheel came off of my car on the freeway. The shop owner has not responded to messages I have left with employees of the shop, and has not contacted me via the information I provided to employees of the shop. Bad customer service, and I do not recommend this company. read more
