It is conveniently located in the skywalk really close to where I work. The ordering process can be a little hard to figure out when you walk in but after watching a few people I figured it out. Maybe some signs on how it works. They have different sections for sandwiches, soups, and salads. Then you pay at the end. I usually get the chef salad with the creamy garlic dressing which is fantastic. Salads also come with a roll which they have a wide variety of options. Everything is tossed together in front of you and can add or take out things. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. I am usually here alone and it's a great spot with lots of space for solo eaters as well as tables of 4 or more. Definitely recommend for a quick lunch.

Well this fish out of water wasn't a keeper for me. The bread is so soft and phenomenal. There was plenty of Tuna on this Big Kahuna, and I added lettuce, pickles, jalapeños, onion, and black pepper. Banana Peppers on the other half. The flavor just wasn't hitting for me. The tuna is like a paste, not dry, but not moist. The veggies were very light and added no flavor. I am not a fan of a ton of mayo, but this sandwich needs a flavor injection. That bread is seriously awesome and I am curious if the wheat hits the same. Would definitely let this fish go. It felt like a can of tuna on bread with a light mayo. The Lost Boyz - Ham, Salami, Turkey, Pepperoni, and Provolone with salad dressing, lettuce, tomato, oil, red wine vinegar, and oregano. The flavors in this sandwich are really good, excellent flavor. The veggies again were very light and the meat in the middle was perfect, but 2/3rds through and the meat is scarce. I couldn't really even taste the toppings. This sandwich hits, but it's missing like peppers. That oregano should bring some flavor. This place has real potential and the bread is solid. Very soft, good flavor, and holds up excellent. Need equal meat throughout and add some toppings, like "Dear Sammich Maker please don't be scared to add some meat and toppings so I can taste it ". They seem to be skimping IMO and for the price point pickles, peppers, and onions shouldn't be an issue. A half a slice of tomato on a half isn't much or enough. Maybe subway spoiled me or that other place in town The Madhatter where they take you to flavor town. This just came up short for me. The service is outstanding and it wasn't very busy for lunch. I would stop again and try some other sandwiches if in the area. Would definitely request more toppings.

For those familiar with Hungry Hobo, this setup will look familiar. You can dress your sandwich with all the toppings that you like and they have baked potatoes as an option as well. They also have cookies and salad salads available as sides. When you walk in you get in the queue to place your order and then the food is delivered to your table. Food comes out very quickly and Staff is great about checking in on you and picking up when you're done.

The place was busy and they had a brisk takeout business on this Sunday late lunch time afternoon. There was a peculiarity when leaving a tip. The server said "if you leave a tip on the credit card charge we don't get it." Whatever the reason is for this, it's not a good look for this restaurant. The manager or owner needs to resolve this so tips paid by credit card gets to employees. I can forgive slow service. I can't forgive depriving wait staff of their tips if paid by credit card.

They normally park on the South side of the buildings... Last year there was usually three or four trucks out there every Wednesday...this year only two most of the time. I've had my eye on Street Eats DSM and as luck would have it they were parked alongside one of my other favorite trucks today...Jack & Vinnie's (owned and operated by Club 2000). But I came for Street Eats DSM...got to stick to the plan. I'd already scoped out the Rocky Balboa online. Philly style beef, natural cut fries, mushrooms, onions, peppers, and American cheese on a large hoagie roll... The other menu items sure looked really good too. Ordering and paying was a snap and I was surprised when they handed me a buzzer to signal me when my order was ready for pickup. What is this madness? Is this witchcraft? A truck using a buzzer call system... Have pigs flown and hell froze over? I have no idea what this costs to maintain, but I hope other trucks start using this... My buzzer went off after a short wait and I grabbed my sandwich and headed to the car for the short drive back to my office. The sandwich was $9 and a can of Coke was $1. So a total of $10 before tip... My biggest issue with some food trucks is that I don't feel like I get the amount of food I would at a restaurant. Probably why I like Jack & Vinnie's...this is never an issue with them. It's not an issue with Street Eats DSM either... I am pleasantly full, not stuffed, but I feel like it was money well spent. I'm not usually a big fan of potatoes on my sandwiches, but the fries were crispy and added a nice crunch along with being very filling. The sandwich was cooked well...all components...and the staff provided really good service. You can't expect much more than that off a truck. A big thumbs up. He's a nice guy and the man can cook... I ordered the Cajun tacos...one shrimp and one catfish. 2/$7. The shrimp and fish were cooked perfectly. The other ingredients were fresh, and the remoulade has a great flavor to it. Like Jack & Vinnie's this is a truck I don't walk away from hungry or unhappy. Great service. The menu items are a good bang for your buck as far as size/quantity and quality. I know fish and chips and shrimp and fish tacos has been a hot item lately... I'd suggest putting this truck on your to-try list for both. The buzzer call system they use is genius. The truck was set up in the parking lot and the line was just forming. The menu was written on a chalkboard. The details of each item were very thorough. I was very interested in the chicken bruschetta. We ordered and it took about 3-5 min for the fresh food to come to the window. Oh my it was huge! Starting from the bottom was a big ol bun. Then was the hot fresh French fries..Oh and then the shredded chicken, bruschetta, and pesto mayo and cheeses. I thought the flavor was fantastic and wished I didn't have so far to walk back to my company so I could eat it right down. The amount of food was too much for my little mouth so I had to get it back to where I could cut it down again. Next time I am skipping the bun and having it all on fries!!
