Debbie was the most affordable of the bunch! But that by no means diminishes the return on our investment. When I first took a call with Debbie, she was very easy to talk to, and was already providing value even within our icebreaker conversation. She recommended a caterer and a florist before we had even signed the contract, and we ended up using the caterer. From the onset, Debbie was easily accessible through text and email. We first spoke to her by phone on November 8, and she emailed the contract over immediately. We finally booked her on November 21st, without a drop of pressure from her, as our wedding officiant on December 31, 2023. Upon signing the contract, she immediately emailed us a questionnaire for my wife and I to fill out, from which she would build our custom ceremony. About a week later, she gave us a deadline for the questionnaire; at a time when so many things are demanding of so much time -deadlines are crucial. All the while we would text about random questions such as who traditionally stands where? and how long our ceremony and/or sand ceremony should be? We texted on multiple occasions leading up to, and after the wedding. By the time the ceremony came, I felt like I had gotten to know Debbie, so on the day of the ceremony when she arrived early, everything felt natural and comfortable. Debbie spoke with authority and confidence. Just as I was personally beginning to feel the stress of our guests' arrivals, Debbie immediately surveyed the layout, and directed herself straight to our witnesses (our mothers) and my day of "coordinator" so to speak (my mom), to get the paperwork out of the way. Debbie managed to talk to my wife and I individually, both of our mothers (to help signal for the processional), both of our fathers (to walk us to the altar), and probably the DJ (processional music) to make sure things went as smoothly as possible. As soon as the ceremony began, the nerves began to subside. We were in awe of being able to finally take in what we (my wife and I) had accomplished. We had executed the most beautiful backyard wedding ambiance and decor, and we were wed by the most amazing and professional wedding officiant. Debbie held our vow books and even passed us tissues, and held a mini trashcan for us to drop our tissues into. We are grateful for Debbie, and the way she made us feel every step of the way. The sand ceremony was such a fun part of our ceremony, and we love the fact that we get to look our sand ceremony keepsake jar on our shelf and reminisce about our wedding day.
