Mel's Pizza is by far my favorite pizza spot in the Route 376 area. I don't eat pizza often, so I'm not there all the time, but every visit feels like coming back to a place that actually remembers you. Mel, the owner, always greets me with a smile and even asks where I've been. That kind of personal touch is rare these days. What really stands out is that he knows my order and starts making it as soon as he sees me checking out the pizza. It's like walking into a place where you're already part of the routine. Great pizza in Poughkeepsie. I had the cheese pizza small personal size. Menu says it serves two people but it couldn't. But too big for one. Very cheesy and saucy and crispy crust. Also had mozzarella sticks which were good but inexplicably served over lettuce. You can dine in or take out. There were a few tables and a tv showing weather forecast for Arizona. We got our food quickly and staff were friendly. This is a great pizza place. And they have other stuff on the menu too but that's less fun. read more

While I have never eaten at Mel's Pizza, I have ordered their pies, subs, calzones and garlic knots. They food has always been delicious-fresh, quality ingredients, the pizza is cooked to perfection, neither too soft or undercooked nor burnt on the bottom and the ratio of homemade-tasting sauce and fresh mozzarella cheese is just right! I don't order from restaurants much because the extra fees tacked onto the reasonable price of the product makes it cost prohibitive - ridiculous taxes, an inexplicable "service fee " PLUS a tip, has pretty much stopped me from ordering pizza, but I DO recommend Mel's. RECENT NAME CHANGE: was Sinapi's Pizza pasta and more, now MEL'S. According to the lady who answered the phone, it is the same owner. So we placed our regular order: two large cheese pie, added 20 wings. The pie was about the same as usual and it was delivered within the promised window Buy a friendly driver. This place is a bit pricier than some but reasonable considering the ingredients are a good quality. No specials today since it's Saturday. Two large 16 inch equals 31.98 20 wings: we ordered them crispy six buffalo style and the remainder honey barbecue. They were a good quality wing, meaty and moist. They weren't super crispy but the flavor was good and they were steaming hot when they arrived. If you'd like it spicy, the buffalo sauce may not be hitting the hot button but it was fine for me. read more

Every so often we try a new pizza spot. They had a bunch of different topping combinations and of course, gluten free crust. I decided to get the white pizza. It's been years since I had a white pizza. It was delicious. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed it. It was finished off with fresh garlic. So aromatic and crispy. It's funny how such a simple pizza gave me something to talk about for days. My husbands pizza looked absolutely delicious as well. Not all pizza is created equally. Always great gluten free white pizza!! It's our go to place. I can't eat it, but my husband loved the pepperoni pizza as well.

They have good pizza especially their fresh pies and one of the best chicken Caesar wraps I've ever had.

Please do keep in mind that this is the direct result of the "delivery driver" leaving what suppose to be a hot pizza pie, on a freezing stoop without simply nocking on the door and simply engaging in the quite simple..., the normal hand to hand exchange of what suppose to be hot food! I did follow up with the claimed owner who undoubtedly sided with the below slack "employee"! Of course in today's typical "management" mode, the "manager" playing "owner" on the phone - obviously not of any remotely italian descent - went all in on condescending about how long it takes to toast bread with "sauce" and "cheese" on it! Then had the nerve - the unmitigated gaul to continue to condescend with "do you know how hard it is..." with drivers? As if that's in anyway a customer's issue based on their advertising stating "delivery"! That's your business, and your "business"! The cabron mostly wouldn't even let me speak! Grasias primo, thanks a-lot for all of the attitude! And in closing for the last time, when you're ultimately responsible for leaving what suppose to be hot "food" with a customer, and it ends up on the cold ground, well then the customer is always right!!!! read more

Pizza was undercooked and soggy despite requesting it to be made well done. Garlic knots and stuffed mushrooms were burned and tasted disgusting. Chicken marsala was bland with rubbery chicken. The side of pasta had runny sauce. Very nasty food. I will never eat from here again. read more

Fantastic customer service and food. The owner and employees go out of their way to customize food orders, make recommendations and ensure you are satisfied. Every meal we've gotten from Sinapi's has been solid and I'm happy to report that when it comes to what matters, 'they've got the sauce'. Also cool that they're very progressive with tech. 5G wifi in the pizza shop, and at the time of this review, they accept apple pay, and are available on GrubHub, the Slice app and deliveries can accept credit cards using Square. read more

During difficult times, Sinapi's is a great choice to stop while near by. I like how the menu is set up and the service that's provided is treated professionally. There's a lot to customize when it comes to pizza and other foods, something to take advantage on my next visit. Something that struck me is the options for gluten free pizza, an endless list. Excellent piazza spot. The close to NYC pizza your gone find. Not as good as Da Bronx but definitely close to NYC. Pizza has a nice crispy crust the sauce has a full flavor and the cheese is good quality. You want to know how you can tell good quality cheese on you Pizza ?? Pick it up if the oil come flowing out like a oil well cheap cheese. Very little oil good cheese. They have very little oil coming out of the pizza even with pepperoni on it. My other favorite is Chicken Parmigiana hero omg awesome ! They give you a nice chicken cutlet and they don't put in in a million strips I hate that !! Try it I think you will like it. My husband and I always order takeout from Mel's. We recently got catering from them for my son's second bday. We got eggplant rollatini and chicken Francese. It was outstanding. My Nonna from Sicily thought it was delicious and she's tough to please. Service was great! Will continue to use them for takeout and catering. The thing I love about this pizzeria is they are always consistent !!! And they more than pizza they have a full catering menu that is fantastic!! the food is always delicious!! My husband sent me to Sinapi's pizza restaurant and they were very friendly and helpful. I ordered a soup for my husband and he told me about there soup of the day and told me it is made fresh daily.
