I ordered a chicken fajita slice and a regular slice. I consume quite a bit of pizza and I love different specialty slices ...... and that's the first time I've ever seen a chicken fajita slice. It was really good......and very filling. The slices are pretty big and there's a great selection to choose from. Plenty of rolls and calzones as well. Good amount of tables inside and if the weather is nice you can also eat outside. Staff was excellent. They are very friendly and accommodating. If I'm ever back in the neighborhood I certainly wouldn't mind returning to try some other items. read more

stopped by Pizza Margarita for a quick dinner, and the experience was a mixed bag. The pizza itself was alright--decent crust, sauce with a good tang, and a generous amount of cheese, but nothing that'll blow your mind. The toppings were fresh, though the pepperoni was a bit greasy for my taste. It's solid for a casual meal, but don't expect gourmet. The service, however, left something to be desired. The staff seemed distracted, and while they got the order out quickly, things got weird when I paid in cash. Twice now, they've given me back more change than I was owed--like, significantly more. It's almost as if they're paying me to eat there! I pointed it out once, but they just shrugged it off. It's a bizarre quirk, but I'd recommend using a card to avoid the awkwardness. The ambiance is cozy but a bit dated. The lighting's dim, which is nice, but the tables were a little sticky, and the place could use a refresh. It's not bad, just not particularly memorable. However we recently ordered the carbonara, and while the mistake was mine, I wanted to write the review for other diners. Tortellini carbonara sounded awesome, so my niece and I decided to split the dinner - we were trying to be sensible! The problem was that I did not read the description which did indeed say tortellini tossed with mushrooms, pancetta, onions, broccoli, shrimp in a cream sauce. I know carbonara to be a much simpler dish made with egg, cheese, pancetta and lots of pepper. Needless to say we were disappointed, but again it was my own fault. Read the menu carefully! My 4 yr old daughter and I stopped in here for a quick lunch. The place was empty as it was before noon. They just made fresh pies so we got 2 plain pizza by the slice ($2.50/slice). We get take out from this pizza place at least once a week for the last 4 or 5 months. Usually a combination of slices and sandwiches or pies and sandwiches. So far we have never had a bad or even a sub standard batch. The pizza has a rich taste with plenty of sauce, cheese and toppings and the slices are huge. Not like the doughey dry pies or slices you get in most pizza joints. The sandwiches are superb and over stuffed. My favorite is sausage, peppers, onions with parm. Great taste, ingredients are moist and sausage is sliced in sizeable junks instead of pathetic coin pieces. This is a busy place but take out orders take about 5 to 20 minutes to prepare (not at all bad). As far as I know they do not deliver. That's ok with me. I don't like ice cold delivered food that takes an hour or more to get to you. The staff here is friendly and efficient to the point where we have had no delays in order prep and after dozens of take outs, there have been no errors. What we ordered is always there (no matter how large an order) and prepared correctly. I can certainly recomend this place if you're looking for the cut above pizza and sandwiches. The folks at home love it, the kids and grandkids love it and even the dog loves this stuff. You can't beat that- human and canine approved! read more

This is officially my favorite pizzeria. The staff was so friendly and so were the other customers. I am a pizza enthusiast from NYC. I've had all the dollar pizzas, the Joe's, prince St., any pizza you can imagine in the city. My favorite was once cold spring pizza near bear mountain. This place is even better. Variety of slices. They're thin, crispy, full of flavor. I had the regular slice, meat lovers and the margherita slice. Let me start with the original slice. This is as Dave Portnoy would call it the golden slice. You judge a place by how they make a classic. And this place does not disappoint. Again, thin, crispy, no flop and maintains the classic regular pizza slice flavor. Texture is a big thing for me. I'm not into the doughy, thick breaded pizzas. I like thin, crispy and a regular sized NY slice. Next up was the margherita slice. The thing with margherita pizza, it's best when made to order because of the cheese. If you leave it out and the cheese turns cold, even reheating it won't save the texture of the cheese. Nonetheless, it was still delicious and it maintain the class in margherita taste with the basil and the sauce. Lastly, I had the meat lovers slice. Bacon, sausage and pepperoni. What more do I need to say? It was heavy but so good. My goto at specialty pizzerias would be the meat lovers but I opted to get others to try because I'm from the city and not in the area often. We decided to go for dinner to a little late this evening, but we made a great choice. Service was great the restaurant is clean and the food was really very good at Mario's. One of my nephews ordered a slice of pizza, fried calamari and mozzarella sticks... The mozzarella sticks are made in house and they tell me they were amazing. The calamari was delicious and he told me the pizza was great, too I didn't get a taste of that either, but it looked good! The other dishes we ordered were chicken parm, eggplant parm and a chicken egg plant parm - all delicious and very satisfying. The portions were very large and even the sides were good! My older nephew ordered penne Bolognese for his side and my sister and I each opted for the broccoli with garlic in oil. I hate to admit this, but it was better than my own. Three of us started the meal with a nice-sized salad: leafy greens, carrots, red onions, olives, cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. To wrap this up, we'll definitely be back!
