I was super nervous and the team at Northgate was very helpful and able to calm my nerves. I went under general anesthesia, and I know reactions are very personal but I was coherent and in my right mind when they read me the post-op care instructions, even though I did have someone there. This tells me they are skilled at giving you the right dosage. I had little pain after surgery and healed quickly and easily with sleep and the medication I was given. Basically no pain by day 3, no bruising on my face. I didn't shop around because Dr. Guo was recommended by my dentist, and I felt very safe that he is a MD as well as a DMD. To me the price with my insurance was reasonable for three teeth and the level of expertise I got. I also wasn't charged for the consultation or the follow up. Highly recommend!

When my eldest went through there 4 years ago she left with a reusable ice pack that she could attach to her jaw for her 4 extractions and we were good to go. Surgery was fine, but she got a double dry socket even though we followed all directions. Apparently there is an increased chance of dry socket if people are on birth control? Anyway, my youngest went through here last week and she was only given ONE disposable cold pack for her 4 extraction sites. And even though she was incredible diligent, we ended up having to go to an emergency weekend dentist for dry socket ($500 out of pocket!). This dentist expressed concern that the surgeon hadn't put any collagen inserts into the huge gaping hole to promote healing. She added 2 inserts and the dry socket treatment and it provided instant relief. If it is possible to have a lesser chance of dry socket, why wouldn't you practice this? I feel like this office needs to look again at their patient care practices! Ended up being an expensive, stressful week for all involved!

Kind, polite, helpful staff - professional dentists. Easy to schedule appointments. X-rays are fast…read moreand instantaneous; you can even see them when you're in the dental chair if you like. Quality care. Fresh, bright & modern decor creates a pleasant experience. Even if you aren't in the north-end of Seattle - the clinic is well worth the drive (wherever you live). This clinic makes going to the dentist enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about this clinic.

So... It's uncomfortable to write a negative review because SOME of the staff here are very nice -…read morethe hygienist in particular is very pleasant. But my experience with this dentists office has been overall very negative. First of all, they are not great with kids. My 6 year old was chastised and shamed for not being able to hold still enough for them to paint her teeth with something. Not great, but ok - they are not listed as a pediatric dentist, so maybe that's on us. But then there were other, ongoing issues: 1. As others have noted, it's impossible to get an appointment with them. They are regularly booking 9 months out. It's also VERY hard to reach someone on the phone - they really want you to book through their website. 2. Because of having to book super far in the future, I have had to cancel multiple appointments when the date rolls around. I just can't predict my work schedule etc. Not only is this very hard to do because it's impossible to reach people on the phone, but TWICE I had them charge me a $50 cancelation/ no-show fee because they did not listen to the voice message I left to cancel (because no one answered). 3. The straw that broke the camel's back was this past November, when I got a call on a Thursday evening at 5:30pm checking to see if I would be coming in for a SEVEN AM APPOINTMENT THE NEXT DAY. I had no record of this appointment in my calendar - and unless I was in a fugue state there is no way I would have EVER booked a dentist appointment at 7am. But there was no convincing them that this was an error - bam, another $50 cancelation fee. In addition to all of this scheduling and cancelation drama, I also want to mention that the dentist here has told me some very unusual things about caring for my teeth. She told me, for example, to *try not to let the toothbrush touch my gums?!* I have definitely had other dentists tell me to make SURE to brush my gums.... I am not a dentist, so I don't want to say this is outright wrong... maybe the advice has changed? But... somehow I doubt it.

My mom was in so much pain that Dr. Sarram told her to take 3 ibuprofen & 1 extra Tylenol together every 8 hrs because that combo is STRONGER than a narcotic. Then, when she went to get the root canal on Thurs, the Dr didn't do it because she wasn't in that much pain!! That night, I almost had to take my mom to the ER due to pain. I called Dr. Sarram Friday morning and she couldn't see my mom until Monday because the office was closed and she had to teach at the UW that day! Then she told me to find another dr!!!! We did and Alderwood Endo is great. They performed the procedure that Monday and one of the 3 roots of the molar was already dead which was causing the significant pain. My mother had to suffer 4 extra days of pain and stress to her 80+ yr old liver taking narcotic levels of pain killers because of Dr. Sarram. Do not be her next patient.

And then would just do it before I could even think. Meaning more money and more fees my insurance didn't cover. I will never return and tell people not to use them. My cap is also way too big and they wouldn't fix it.

Dr. Sage is not only professional and highly skilled, but also very kind and attentive. I would especially like to highlight Julia, the hygienist -- she is incredibly thorough, gentle, and friendly. The office assistants are also always welcoming and helpful. We truly feel well taken care of every time we visit. While looking through the reviews recently, I was surprised and disappointed to see the overall rating lower than expected. Some reviews, like one I read recently, seem to reflect personal frustration with unrelated incidents rather than the actual dental care provided. Unfortunately, this can misrepresent the excellent service and dedication this team consistently offers. I wanted to leave this review to share our positive and consistent experience over the years. Dr. Sage and his staff deserve far more than 3 stars -- they've absolutely earned 5 stars in our book!
