Im giving it a two star simply because our server was very sweet. However, the food was tasteless. How can you have tomato sauce and tomatoes on a pizza and not taste them? Understandably, given that it's new years, it was pretty dead. That being said I watched two employees walk into the restroom and what I saw was beyond disgusting. In town for a cheer competition and decided to try this place out. Had the Pacific Rim pizza and Cheese Bread. My daughter like the Cheese Bread, she liked that the bread wasn't hard and was flavorful. I personally wasn't a fan but maybe cause I prefer more garlic. The Pacific Rim pizza was excellent though, fresh mozzarella cheese, nice soft hand tossed crust, tasty toppings, only negative was the jalapeños weren't spread out, sometimes a cluster of jalapeños on top of each other, I also didn't taste any of the bacon but in general it was a very tasty pizza. read more

Hi I just recently tried this place for the first time and oh boy can I say I never leave reviews but this deserved one. I ordered one pepperoni pizza and one meat lovers pizza along with cheesy bread sticks and the pretzel bites and every single one of these items tasted horrible the pizza lacked sauce and flavor for both the cheesy bread was dry and the sauce was watery the pretzel bites where really chewy and the cheese was just awful. Customer service is absolutely terrible. Last week during a not busy time, we waited an hour after ordering and didn't ever receive our food. Turns out it was never put in. Gave it the benefit of the doubt and a week later did an online order. Goes in to get my order and I was informed that the printer was down and my order didnt get put in. Mellow Mushrooms is adorable inside and family friendly! The artichoke dips is a mouth full of flavor, a perfect appetizer. We got their BBQ chicken pizza and it has so much BBQ sauce the pizza was kind of soupy. Will definitely try another pizza because this could be a one off. Service was also slow from when we walked in there wasn't anyone at the front for 10 minutes. This evening we ordered a pizza for about the 5th time since we moved to Beaumont TX. Ordered their large super pepp with extra pepperoni. There was prob 8-10 pepperoni on the whole large pizza with a lot of peppers filling in. I have ordered this same configuration in the past with a ton of pepperoni on it. So called to get it corrected dude just said sorry I'll refund the couple dollars for the extra pepperoni. No trying to make it right, nothing. I guess I get what I pay for but I will be looking for a new pizza place and not go there any more. I expect that from the other guys not these guys. I'm only giving it a two star because when you got the pepperoni in the bite it tasted good not the best I have had from there but good. The "Holy Shiitake" mushroom pizza is one of but possibly the very best pizza I've EVER had. The garlic aioli sauce is other worldly. I ate here 6/23/23 and I noticed that the amount/portion of mushrooms was quite small and seems to have shrunk. I get it; inflation is running amok as if we live in a 3rd world country...BUT when you charge $28+tax for a large pizza, I shouldn't be having the "value proposition conversation" in my head. I recommend the Holy Shiitake but if Mellow is getting one more visit and if the mushroom portion is small again, sadly we will be done. They were understaffed on Sunday afternoon but service was decent. Oh, this is also one of the coolest restaurants around from a design/decoration standpoint. I understand that each store is completely unique. I hope they get the portions right. read more

Absolutely awesome and a surprising find. We were in the area from out of state and were amazed by the quality and amount of items they had on their menu. We found it because our cousin is vegan and this place had the most options for him, and boy were we happy we came. We had a mushroom pizza off of their secret menu, which was amazing. We also got the Thai pizza with the thick crust, simply amazing! The stuffed portobello was also quite scrumptious, we accidentally thought it was a sandwich but we were not bummed out at all. We have eaten at Mellow Mushroom in different locations so we stopped in because they have been consistently good. We ordered one of our favorites the holy shiitake pie, again it did not disappoint. It took a few minutes to get acknowledgment from the staff but once we did the service was spot on. As we have eaten at different locations and ordered different meals I can honestly say we also like the meatball appetizer and their salads as well as the white pizzas. I have never been to a Mellow mushroom, and unfortunately this understaffed, dirty restaurant didn't change my mind. I don't know where the management is, or anyone who can show these young kids how to work. We waited at the door for 10 mins to be seated outside and wait an additional 10- 15 mins for drinks, while my dad had to go fetch his own beers, our waiter says he is having to do everything. We then had to wait 15- 20 more mins for silverware, and plates. All this and no one is even thinking about trying to bust and tables. 100% not satisfied read more

Mellow Mushroom has been my go to restaurant for good pizza and a comfortable atmosphere. The pizza has always been Excellent. Yesterday I ordered a 14" half cheese half pepperoni pizza and a small salad to go. The salad was good BUT the pizza was terrible. The first try was presented to me burnt. It appeared as if half was thin crust and the other side regular crust- oddly shaped. I refused it and asked for it to be redone. The second try was presented to me burnt, all cheese and greasy and again, oddly shaped. I refused it and yes, a third try. During my wait for their third try, I overheard staff stating that the cook just came in. So who was cooking before the cook decided to appear?! In the absence of a cook, any staff is qualified to cook? The third pizza tasted soggy. Lord! In the trash it went. The price of the pizza down the drain. All day I looked forward to this pizza. This is the first time experiencing such a horrible purchase . Aside from being hungry, the young lady that was at the register was very professional and kind and for these reasons, I gave Mellow Mushroom a third try. Overall, VERY DISAPPOINTED! read more

The server was nice enough, and was prompt. I ordered a drink and they substituted soda for tonic, and didn't tell me. So no worries I enjoy soda as well. The mushroom soup had a good flavor but the mushrooms they covered the top with was bitter and had very hard almost stick like stems. Kinda ruined it for me. Pushed it aside and ordered a the 6" meatball hoagie, which was okey as were the tator tots. (Which it's kinda hard to mess up) The manager came by and apologized for the drink mix up and I appreciated the gesture. I brought up the soup and the mushroom's. She said okay and would relay to the kitchen. Never offered any additional gesture and charged for it all. Not the customer service I generally get from Mellow Mushroom. Me and my bf went here a year or so after opening day thinking they'd be straightened up by now with taste, service, and etc. So we ordered steak calzone for me, mushroom pizza (waitress recommendation), and a cup of mushroom soup for us to share. Now, my calzone? It was just ALL crust and not enough filling. I thought I ordered just cooked pizza dough halfway through my meal. And the mushroom pizza? It was yay or nay kind of good. The waitress said that it was customers' favorite so without doubting her, my bf ordered that and was hugely disappointed by it. It practically had NO flavor in it, not even in the pizza dough. The soup on the otherhand was good but the amount that they gave in that huge bowl was not worth the money. The whole trip was not worth the money. Cauliflower crust pizza! Need I say more? That's all you need to know really, it's spectacular.

The pizza was so delicious. The taste was Italiany and satisfying. The amount of sauce was just right. The ingredients were fresh and firm but not too firm. I also really loved the crust it was cooked to perfection. The waiter was really nice and had us laughing. The order came out pretty fast and the waiter checked on us often as well as the manager. Mellow Mushroom always serves delicious pizza and salads and other foods but last night we were equally impressed by the mellow atmosphere of their outdoor dining patio. We had our dog with us and needed a place where we could eat and have her with us and Mellow Mushroom allows furry friends to accompany you while you eat. We ordered our usual two salads and Kosmic Karma pizza to share and Kelsey took care of us well, checking on us now and then to be sure we had everything we needed. The assistant manager, Taylor, also came by to say hello and we enjoyed visiting with him too. I love the Kosmic Karma pizza with its pesto and roasted tomatoes but both Kelsey and Taylor recommended that next time we try the Great White since it also has roasted tomatoes. We even thought we may have a pizza featuring both Kosmic Karma and Great White in a medium size. Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the recommendation. I love the crust on the pizza at Mellow Mushroom and enjoyed every nibble of it last night. The evening was mild and oldies were playing on the loudspeaker. It was a perfect night to enjoy our food and the mood of being together and having a great night. We hope to be back soon. read more

This is easily the best place to go for Pizza in the area. Good variety and there's something for everyone! But my favorite part of the Mellow experience is the ambiance... Love the retro style, and the great 80's music they play makes me want to get up and dance! The servers are great, very attentive and kinda a lot of fun. read more

Super cute new place in Beaumont off Dowlen Rd. Funky retro Vegas decor & great ambiance! They have a full bar and an outside patio, and a few large screens for football. The bar has great local ciders & craft beers on tap, including Saint Arnold's, 8th Wonder, and Galveston Island. They also serve a good selection of wines & bubbles, hand crafted libations, and spirits. The menu offers Munchies, Salads, You Build It Pizza's, Bakers, Calzones, Specialty Pies, Hoagies, and Sweets. Looks like they have lunch specials M-F and a page of local favorites you can only find here. We had excellent service from Colson and enjoyed everything we tasted & sipped... but our favorite was by far the Holy Shiitake Pie. Holy Shiitake!! Olive oil & garlic base with roasted shiitake, button and portobello mushrooms, caramelized onions, mozzarella, and Mont Amore. Finished with a garlic aioli swirl and a spritz of black truffle oil. Called in and ordered takeout. There was a very convenient "pick up door" on the side of the restaurant, and even though the inside looked pretty busy, my order was ready to go right on time.
