This place lacks in all the wrong places. I think of oven fired pizza and I hope for char, smoky, and crispy pizza, instead you get a disc where topping slide right off. I would say this is on par with any local Pizza Hut. The service was ok but was really off putting as the lack of urgency to clean. Several tables were left unbused as the crew chit chatted with patrons. The table I sat at still needed to be cleaned as there was no where else to be seated. 1. One server for 14+ tables.. two of which had 6+ people. 2. Did not fulfill our order. Burnt pizza, only one refill for our two kids the entire stay. We ended up having to share my water. There were four people at our table. Asked for two ranch cups, only received one... so we also shared that. Missing entire dish from order. 3. Nearly an hour wait at our table before food arrived. Emphases on not getting drink refills here. I understand if food is delayed but it's not like we can bring our own drinks or serve ourselves. 4. Staff was doing the best they could. This is 100% on management. 5. Booth fell apart on us... mind you, athletic adult woman and 8 year old cheerleader... My husband was able to fix the booth. We were just sitting and at some point it starts caving in towards the back of the seat. Scary! Times are tough. Eating out is such a privilege and this place was just not it. I am not one to leave negative reviews but customers and the staff deserve better. And the staff was working so hard! They just could not keep up with managing the kitchen and service at the same time. A few days ago for the Texans playoff game my wife, myself and a few friends ordered pizza from this establishment. The food we got (twisted chicken dip, chicken bacon ranch pizza, and a deluxe pizza) were all incredible. Fresh ingredients, hot food and just overall really tasty. This is probably the best pizza place in Lumberton. Also shout out to Crystal who was the manager that night because I know they were very busy but still kicking tons of butt. Service was great. Absolutely amazing food here. Always hot and tons of options. The appetizers are great, pizza is amazing, awesome salads, love the calzones. I do NOT recommend the cinnamon sticks. It's a thick breadstick with cinnamon on the top and just a light drizzle of icing. Makes for a very dry not very sweet dessert. Be aware they cook to order so it can take a bit but it'll be worth it. And also they keep the temps very cold, if your cold blooded, bring a light jacket to eat there. Haha read more

Popped in to grab an early dinner while visiting my mom nearby. I'd been wanting to try out the pizza here whenever I've been in town. I noticed their star rating wasn't great so we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised! They have covid modifications in place. All servers and staff were masked. They are at 50% capacity for dine-in and all available tables were full when we were done eating. We ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer. It arrived warm with pita bread (our choice) and was yummy! Whether fresh or frozen, it was just what we wanted and tasted great! I ordered a Mediterranean pizza with a cauliflower crust. I do especially love all of the crust options they have to choose from, such as broccoli and cheese and the cauliflower. My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs tasted great and the sauce had a good flavor. It was accompanied by garlic bread. We had an awesome experience dining at Brick Oven Pizza and will definitely be back! My hubs & I eat here often all the plates are good. We love the cordon bleu pizza and the supreme. We take the ham & replace it w pepperoni or salami. We also add spinach mushrooms. They work w us which is great. All the servers are friendly. This time we asked for all that and it extra cook time. Ordered delivery while staying at a hotel. Ordered pork nachos, small kicking chicken, small Taco pizza and small dessert pizza. Everything was pretty decent except the taco pizza which didn't include the salsa or lettuce it's supposed to come with. I ordered extra cheddar and banana peppers so it ended up costing $13 for a less than average pizza. Maybe an off night for them. But the food was not great for the price. Sorry to say. read more

Came here to get some food on my lunch break and got a sandwich. Like anyone would I got vegetables and customized my sub. The lady who took my order didn't mention any up charges for vegetables and I didn't think they would. Turns out they charged me 11 dollars for small amount of vegetables. When we talked to the manager he says that it is supposed to be like that. Safe to say I'm never coming back and recommend others don't either. read more

When we walked in, there was no greeter, just 4-5 servers hanging out in the rear talking. We stood there, they looked at us and ignored us. We ended up grabbing two menus from the front area where a server would normally be and seated ourselves. One of the servers took our drink order and appetizer order. About 5 minutes later, he came to take our pizza order. This is when the wait began. 40 minutes later, our appetizers finally game out, and then the pizza about 10 minutes later. There were only 2 other tables occupied in the restaurant other than us. I made an account just to make this review due to the terrible negative experience we had with service. My wife, my 3 year old son, a friend and myself decided to visit brick oven pizza in Lumberton around 8:30pm on Sunday. I order a medium razorback pizza to split with my son( made sure to order something non spicy due to me sharing the pizza with my toddler ) and my wife orders a quesadilla with jalapenos added. After about 35 minutes the food arrives and I notice the pizza has jalapenos. I ask the waitress if the razorback pizza comes with jalapenos and she tells me it does ( it does not ). I cant share the pizza with my toddler due to it being too spicy with jalapenos, so i send it back. By this time it is around 9:20. On the positive side, my wife and friend enjoyed their quesadillas. My wife and her friend finish their food and I am still waiting. We have to wave someone else down in the meantime to get refills. Around 9:55 the waitress brings the pizza to the table, which at that time I am so agitated that I tell her I no longer want the pizza.This somehow offends our waitress and she doesnt apologize or say anything else to us and snatches the pizza up off the table and walks back to the kitchen. She never said another word, even when dropping our credit card back at the table. The waitress was newer and was being trained, but being rude is unacceptable. We will never visit this establishment, or any other brick oven pizza establishments, and I will make sure to let my friends and family know about my experience here and how it ruined my night. read more

Wanted to try Brick Oven since I see it all the time while driving through Lumberton. You choose your own seating & then a waitress will come greet you. We ordered the half order of cheese bread sticks ($2.50). You get two large bread sticks filled with cheese and marinara for dipping. It was good. Thought the marinara was a little too tangy, but my husband liked it. They cut each of the two large bread sticks in half, so if you had a party of four, everyone would be able to partake in this appetizer. We each got our own 8" pizzas. These are basically personal pizzas with 4 of those small slices. It was enough to eat, though. The crust is really crunchy, at least for the 8" pizzas. They do have a drive-thru. You probably need to call in your order first, though. Nice menu selection & decent pizza! Didn't try dessert, but they had several options available. Prices are VERY reasonable. read more

Our party of 3 visited here on a Saturday night around 8 pm and there were not that many people in the restaurant. I realllly hope it survives though. It's the first American food restaurant in town and one that has a bar, too boot. (Okay, yes, I know pizza is Italian but let's be real, there is mostly American food on the menu.) Staffed mostly with high school kids, service could've been a good bit better, but nothing to bother with here... except the fact that our waiter was mopping, dropped the mop, picked up the handle that had been on the floor, and then without washing his hands, picked up our food and delivered it to us. Wash yo dang hands, kid. The cheesesticks were pretty good, and you can order a spicy version, which just entails adding jalapenos. You can also do half and half if you do a full order. This and my calzone were SLATHERED in butter. I saw them doing it. And wished I could stop them. It was wayyyy too greasy. The chicken alfredo seemed like it came from a microwavable dinner, with pressed chicken and a taste that tasted more like chicken of the sea than real chicken. The person who ordered that entree also told me she wished it had more sauce. The muffuletta was large, but not as large as a traditional one, and it also wasn't made like a traditional muffuletta with finely chopped olives, a nice dressing, etc. I did a custom calzone with mozzarella, ham, and pineapple and tomato sauce, which was good, and also pretty cheap. For under $7, I was able to make dinner that night and lunch the next day out of it. Overall, the food quality and service could be a tad bit better, but this place is sorely needed in Lumberton and I really hope it sticks around. read more

I ordered the blackened chicken fettuccine. The chicken was horrible. It tasted and looked like that nasty pre-cooked, sliced frozen chicken you buy in the freezer section of the store. Not sure why they called it blackened. There was zero seasoning it was also rubbery. Basically they opened a bag of pre-cooked, sliced, frozen chicken and stuck it in the microwave and then on the plate. They sauce was not good either and also not made there. We ordered a artichoke and spinach dip which was not good and came out of a container somewhere. Pizza was good but the other stuff on the menu is just really bad... we won't be back. read more

My wife and I have eaten here several times. We normally request Rachel as our server as she is professional, knowledgeable about the menu and manages to tend to her tables very efficiently. Pizza delicious and they have a lot of variety on their menu. One downside, is the wait time being close to 30 minutes, but the pizza is hot and fresh so we just use that time to visit and eat appetizers. Our first visit here was not great. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and 25 minutes later asked about the appetizer and it was brought with an apology. Our waitress was only at our table one other time and assured us that our pizza was on its way any minute. One hour and 15 mins later a cheese pizza arrived with a few flecks of tomato scattered and no basil leaves at all as the menu stated and,the two main ingredients aside from cheese on a Margherita pizza are basil leaves and tomato. No one followed up to ask about the pizza until we had eaten all but 2 slices having waited so long. Only three other tables were here when we arrived so, not a busy Tuesday night by any means. We arrived and waited one hour and 15 minutes for a Margherita pizza and basically it was just a cheese pizza. Honestly, the crust is very good--maybe the best I've had in a while. But the wait, the pizza delivered so lacking from what was ordered and the lack of attention from waitstaff outweighed even the great crust. Not to mention kitchen staff with very long hair down and flipping around worth no ponytail, cap, or hat. The manager did seem concerned and apologized and offered a gift certificate for a future visit. We don't live here but are close enough to give it one more try. read more
