Had large Holy Shiitake pizza for delivery, we really enjoyed it BUT the topping stopped 4 inches from the edge so we basically got charged for a large pizza and only got a medium. Total con job!!!! Totally not worth the money. Contacted the manager who did not provide a satisfactory reason and would not offer compensation for the poor pizza covering. Went for dinner yesterday around 5:30 after a long travel day. It wasn't super busy yet which was great. The employees at the front desk were super nice and seated us outside right away. Our server was super accommodating and paid close attention to see if we needed more drinks or anything else. My family had two normal pizzas that they both said were amazing. The crust was specifically called out as being spectacular. This place specifically called out that they are careful with cross contamination when cooking gluten free and could make any of their specialty pizzas into a 10" gluten free. (When ordering I mentioned I had celiac tho) I had the Buffalo chicken and it was the best gluten free pizza I think I've had so far. I also didn't get sick or have any side effects so I think it's pretty celiac safe. I'll for sure visit every time I'm back to see family. read more

I have loved every single mellow mushroom that I have frequented in my lifetime. But not this one. We had a very difficult time with the two hostesses with even getting seated. They finally offered to seat us. We would have to sit next to each other facing in the same direction. we asked about all the empty booths so why we couldn't sit there and they said that they were being saved for four people instead of two. While faced with that as our only option, I said never mind. We'll just sit at the bar if we have to sit next to each other. The bartender was great. Fist time here and I have to say it was really great. We were heading home for the night and just did not want to cook. Mellow Mushroom has been on my must try for a while so we stopped. We went with the veggie and the pepperoni. Both were great. The sauce had plenty of flavor, crust was fresh and really well made ( next time I will order extra crispy). If your craving pizza but want something not so "traditional" mellow mushroom is a great place to go. They have a wide variety of pizzas to choose from including one of my personal favorites, the holy shiitake. This pie made me a huge fan of mushrooms on pizza. With so many delicious options, if you can make up your mind you can ask for you pizza to be "half and half". The reason I didn't give them a higher rating was due to the fact this last time we went the quality didn't seem as good. The soup had a slight texture to it, like it had been over heated and the base split. The pizza was tasty but not as good as the previous times we went. We were in the area and had heard great reviews on Mellow Mushroom, we decided to go check it out. We came around 7pm and only had to wait about 15 mins for a table. The decor and environment is super cool and had my eyes looking all around. We sat down and our waitress Kim came over quickly and got our drink orders and we put in Pretzel Bites. Pretzel bites with beer cheese were absolutely delicious. I wanted more!! They came out hot and fresh! We ordered the half and half (Mellow Your Way) - Buffalo Chicken and Pacific Rim. Let me tell you, both were to die for!! The speciality pizzas have awesome names and we had a difficult time choosing. We are excited to come back and try the other ones. Kim, our waitress, was the best waitress we have ever had! She was very attentive, made sure everything was to our liking, happy/bubbly. We had to take leftover pizza home and she made sure if I needed 2 sperate boxes so the different pizzas are not all together...the simple things that really make a huge difference. My decibel app registers the sound level as "vacuum cleaner to power tools". Please dial it down a notch or two. We have been waiting for the Estero location to open for a while. Getting into the place from the closest parking lot is a little unusual. As the main. Entrance is on the interior "pedestrian" mall . But, once inside the decor is pretty cool and interesting. The staff was friendly and gave us the rundown on the menu and the food. The pizza came out quick and the staff returned regularly to check on us. We split the pie so we could try different pies. We liked the hand tossed pizza. A friend told me about this place because it had gluten-free and vegan options. I had a delicious vegan pizza with lots of veggies. What I like most about it was there awesome crust on the pizza. We go to Mellow Mushroom Estero 1-2 times per week and have been for probably 2 years. If you can get Matt as your server by all means do so. He's still the best server we've had there. He's personable, attentive, the order is always correct even though he only writes down the order for a large party. Our drinks are brought as soon as we sit down, refills are timely, our food is brought out ASAP when it's still very hot. He's just a great young man. The food is amazing all the time. The ambiance is always the best. But however at this particular location service is what I call "mediocre." My fiancé and I entered the building and was seated by a gentleman whom I believed was the GM since he was wearing different attire. Our waitress Ms. Jaimy approached the table, asked us for our drinks and then left as we browsed the menu. Upon coming back to drop the drinks off, she asked if we were ready, as if we were being rushed to order. We gently proclaimed, "not yet, we're still looking." So as we browsed more, she came back not even 2 minutes later as asked, "okay kiddos have we decided." I'm sorry "excuse me," but I really didn't appreciate the rudeness and mediocre customer service. She ignored us multiple times, and when we were ready to check out, she took her sweet time and then threw the check down onto the table. Extremely rude and again "mediocre service." Never was I astonished by the fact that she didn't even bother to apologize either for the attitude she gave towards my finance and I.
