The decor was very distracting being that we needed to order but we were to busy reading all of the music and artists memorabilia from the 1970 and 80s. With the name like Zig Zag we ordered a Pizza with hand tossed crust. The pleasantly seasoned and slightly spiced Brussels sprouts held us over until we dove into the epic Pizza. Solid pizza place that has great look and is super tasty. We started with spin dip. Not sure if i would order this again but it was spinachy. Think it needed to be more creamy maybe more cheese. Came here while on vacation and here is how the experience shook out: The good: - call ahead place in line (and they held our spot even though it took us about five min longer than expected to get there on a busy Friday night) - friendly staff - hubby loved the pizza and I enjoyed the chicken sandwich Not so good: - the band was horrifically loud (my husband plays in a "band", just for fun, no serious gigs other than a bar for an hour every few months) and he put in his AirPods to help block some of the sound. Everyone raves about this pizza, we have eaten here twice now and it's been really doughy/not cooked all the way thru both times which I'm thinking maybe is the style? Hard on our stomachs. That said, good music, nice servers, awesome salads. The only reason I'm not giving it 4 stars is I think the prices are really high compared to similar places we eat. Dont order on a Sunday at 5pm for pick up. Chopped Salad was wet and only the topping were chopped. Wings were ok but the celery they threw on top of hot wings were limp and half cooked. Very cool Rock n Roll ambiance. Stopped in on a Sunday for some bloody Mary's and wings. We were pleasantly surprised.

I'm on a girl's road trip in Florida. We looked up restaurants to eat at. We chose Zeppe's. The workers were very friendly. The place a really nice inside. The decore is memorabilia from different rock singers and groups. They have several big screen tvs that play music videos. The food was delicious! I had the Western Burger and fries. Good music good atmosphere Wife had mango mojito for a drink and said it was very refreshing and good She had the meatball appetizer with a whipped ricotta cheese. Turned out to be linguine that was not quite al dente, but delicious in a gently tangy fresh tomato sauce that pleased the girl very much. Two MONSTER meatballs were slow cooked and tender and will be great tonight in fresh bread. I had blackened grouper tacos. The three were a decent size, though a little heftier portion of fish would have been welcomed. The bulk of them was large slices of avocado that I had taken care to HOLD but they showed up anyway... a warning to anyone with allergies or issues. The waitress DID Note it, but the kitchen missed it. The Old Bay remoulade was okay but the whole dish really needed some spice. A few tweaks and this place could be a real gem. This evening my wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Zeppe's, which we only realized upon arrive we had been to before but that was for a light lunch a few months ago. This place- and specifically their pizza- has been recommended to us by several friends and after our visit tonight we know why! Located off 41 (Tamiami), the restaurant is clean and modern with a good amount of seating but it's not too big. Indoor was very busy, and loud, therefore we chose to dine outside which was much more relaxing with a great ambiance- improved even more when the musician started playing. I started with the Buffalo chicken sliders which were amazing. Buffalo Chicken sandwhiches are one of my top go-to items, and as someone who travels the country several days a week I have ordered more than I can recall. The Buffalo Chicken Sliders at Zeppe just may be the best I have ever had, anywhere. They were absolutely delicious, and while I ordered them "hot" instead of Mild, which was a gamble as I don't like things too spicy, the flavor was perfect. I debated if I even wanted to order a pizza after eating two (of the three) sliders, but went ahead anyway as I have heard so many g0od things about it. They were not cheap at $15 for 3, but I could recommend them. I ordered the Zig Zag (as opposed to thin crust) pizza, which is just a little thicker and the edge is curved in and out per my picture. For me the end bits were a bit hard, but the rest of the pizza was wonderful even though a communication error resulted in me receiving half sausage and pepperoni, the other half cheese when I wanted half sausage and half pepperoni. I am sure they would have re-made it if I asked, but that wasn't necessary. It tasted great! My wife ordered the cauliflower crust (gluten free) pizza, which she usually gets but at some restaurants does not enjoy as it can be too hard. According to her, this was one of best she has had. She asked for it to be cooked more doughy - less crispy- and they obliged. Great food, nice ambiance, and friendly service. Our dinner at Zeppo's would have been a five star, if it wasn't for one problem- and that was with the bill. If I did my calculations correctly (which is a little tricky when they have you pay on a tablet with pre-determined numbers), it looks like they are calculating the tip amount post tax. If I am incorrect I will retract the statement, but it looks like that is the case- which is a very misleading, unethical and deceptive practice. The universal standard is tips should be calculated on the pre-tax amount, as you don't tip on government taxes and fees. But, especially in SW Florida, there is a surge of restaurants doing this very sneaky practice thinking people won't notice, and they need to be called out. It may not seem like much, but with hundreds of customers this add's up, and if I am already tipping what I think is a generous 20% but in reality I am tipping even more because the tablet is showing me suggestions based on a wrong number, that is not right. And if I remember correctly, the tablet also shows 25%, 22% and 20%. Yes, you can manually edit this, but I think those suggestions are also greedy. There is nothing wrong with 18%. Zeppe's should change this misleading setting and display accurate tipping suggestions. Zeppe's is loosing a star for this terrible practice, but otherwise it would have been a five star evening and meal without questions! read more

4 of us dined here last night. Atmosphere great, server/Kristian fantastic! Food just okay . Two of us got chicken parm. Needed steak knife to cut it. Pasta over cooked and the sauce was just okay. One had chicken Marsala and said it was just okay. Lastly, my wife had pasta bolognese and she thought it was very good. We will return, but will try different entrées. We ordered to make your own pizza 12 inches with the zigzag crust. The crust was nice thin on the bottom with pie like edges. We had the red sauce, hamburger, onion, and mushrooms. Our review is it was bland. It should have more taste and more sauce. I almost wanted to ask for salt to make it edible. The hamburger meat not good, not seasoned. They did have a nice menu and lots of other choices that we did not try. We ordered a couple of draft beers. They were fine and local. The service was fine attentive they were very busy outside patio turning over but full. It's good to be outside. Wasn't too hot though nice breeze. it is on a busy street so you do hear some road noise, but it's got a nice open feeling to it and inside they have TVs on the wall playing music. read more

Person to my left was born at the hospital my mother did her nurses' training 80 plus years ago. He knew many of the same people.
