As we are driving cross country to attend a wedding while pulling our 5th wheel trailer the DEF warning goes off and says see Dealer. We are about 70 miles outside of Albuquerque. I start calling Dodge dealers service departments. The first two I called said sorry we can't look at it until next week. I call Melloy Dodge and the service advisor says you need to speak to the service manager, Jason. I left him a message about our situation. He called me back and put my husband and I at ease. We stopped at a RV park and dropped our trailer and drove to the dealership. We at this point had 55 miles before the truck would go no faster than 5 miles per hour. We were fortunate enough to have Richard, a mechanic, check the truck. He told us he could get us back on the road if we wanted to wait. It is Friday afternoon at 4pm. Lifesavers!! My go to for a routine oil change but not anymore. Got there at 5:30. Waited for someone to direct me until 5:32. When someone came out they said they couldn't take anyone 30 minutes before closing at 6pm. When I mentioned that it was only 5:33 the man told me it was too late. I was also with a friend interested in purchasing a vehicle there as sales doesn't close until 7pm. Decide to go across the street instead where they took us in without hesitation (closed at 6pm too). Lost a service customer and a sale. Not a bad experience, just bad customer service. read more

I wish I could give a lower review than this.... I have a 2008 Dodge truck with only 55000. miles on it. The fuel cell / gas tank will not take in fuel accordingly.... It takes about 45 minutes to an hour to fill it up. After paying Mellow to repair the problem, which they didn't, the said I had to get a new tank. I agreed to do it to the tune of over $900.00 not including labor back in December of 2018. Every few weeks I would call for an update because they would never call me. They would always say " call us back in a few weeks" which I did. They always said that they are on back order and I was in line for one. After 5 months I started inquiring about getting a tank off of a wrecked dodge to try it. Again, they never returned my call (they said they did once and didn't bother leaving a message.....yeah right) after they said someone would call me back. Today, I said, give my money back because they are full of shit! They did.... The manager said he believed that the tank would be discontinued so I am now screwed with a truck with only 55000. miles on it in great condition with no resale value because it can't take on gass as it should. Sooo.... (A). Do not do business with Mellow Dodge because they suck.... (B). Do not by a Dodge truck because they make them to become obsolete before their time so you cannot even resell them. This place is a rip off!!!! You purchase a vehicle there and need a spare Fob Key replacement and they want to charge me $168.00 for the key and then another $65.00 to program the key. WTH is wrong with these folks? Wouldn't they rather take care of their customers to ensure they purchase their next vehicle from them once again? This price is ridiculous!!! I bought my other Dodge Ram Pickup from Lithia Dodge in Santa Fe and pickup up a replacement key for less than half that price. They totally ignored the finance debacle and then responded that the widebody package wasn't included in the TrueCar price. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! DO NOT COME HERE! I'm new to Abq/ New Mexico and I see alot of cars with the Melloy logo on them and figured I check out Melloy dodge. I have an older car and figured I come here to JUST LOOK at what I would be looking at price wise if I was to buy a used car at a dealership. Right when I pulled in the parking, still in my car, I had sales people surrounding my car, very pressuring. I let them know I was only here to look and he persisted on asking me questions and general paperwork. He offered to do a "free" appraisal on my current vehicle. After an hour he still didn't give me any information on that. Let alone, who ever drove my car ruined my brakes. Then the other day I checked my credit score and seen Melloy Dodge RAN MY CREDIT! I told the sales person I wasn't looking for any loan details and reassured me that unless I gave them permission and was seriously going to buy a car from them they wouldn't do anything in regards with running my credit. Worst service ever. I've had my Jeep there 3 times in the last 8mo the coolant issue, my Jeep has been there since June 29 today is July 8 and the coolant reservoir still isn't there. I was clear when I dropped my vehicle off that I needed it back by July 8 because I'm out of the state for the rest of the month. The dealership has mice and when my vehicle was there in December I ended up with a mouse in my car, the service manager Jason hung up on me because I'm pissed as hell. They can't fix the problem the first time or recognize when your water pump breaks you should probably check everything else and replace because coolant boiling is going to cause other issues. I'm now waiting on a call back from the owner. And will be filing a formal complaint with Chrysler and the better business bureau. Avoid taking your car there at all cost. read more

I had a Dodge Durango that I loved and got an extended warranty on the car. A month after I bought the car, the "throttle" sensor came on. Took it to Melloy, they treated me exactly how you would expect a service department full of men to treat a woman who they expect know nothing about cars. I decided to go to a mechanic I could trust since Dodge didn't fix the problem and charged me over my deductible because they forgot to call my warranty place. After my mechanic couldn't figure out the issue, I took it back to Dodge where they said they fixed the car, two minutes after leaving the lot, same error happened. They are the rudest, most inconsiderate place I've ever dealt with. Do not buy or take your car here! Especially if you're a woman! read more

I called to schedule an appointment to have them fix a rocker arm and lifter on my 2014 Dodge Charger as it is making a tapping noise in the engine. The girl I spoke to said that they would have to run a diagnostic check to verify that that is what is causing the noise. I said that is fine and asked her how much? She told me it would cost $129. The day off my appointment the service writer tells me that it could take all day to run the diagnostic in my vehicle and that they charge $129 an hour. I said what? The girl I spoke to said the cost would be $129 and never mentioned that it was per hour. I told him I'm not paying that kind of money especially if it's going to take all day. The service writer said ok and that was that, he had no intentions of making the situation better it even suggestions for different options. He had an I don't care attitude and was rude. In the past I've bought a 2007, 2010 and a 2014 Dodge chargers all brand new from them but after this miserable experience, I will no longer do business with them. I was at the dealership for 3 hours when I was told they didn't have the oil or filter for my car. I came back a week later and it took another 3 hours for the oil change. They forgot to put the oil cap on, started the car and splashed oil all over the engine. They said they power washed the engine but I found oil around the cap and I could smell burning oil. They didn't do simple things like put paper down before getting on my leather seats. I wish there was a zero star option. read more

I had to take a truck in for service here. I was able to bring my truck in the same day and was provided a temp vehicle while mine was being diagnosed. The service team was very communicative regarding the progress and the final diagnosis. Once I picked up the vehicle, they called me to make sure that everything went smoothly and asked if there was anything else they could do to make sure I was fully satisfied. I called three times during their Open hours. The first two times I was transferred to the Service Department but no one ever picked up the phone after that....ring ring ring ring. The third time the Service Dept picked up- yay!- but apparently needed to ask the mechanic a question regarding my vehicle. Bought a 2015 Challenger SRT and made the mistake of buying Melloy's service protection plan that included "free oil changes". I attempted to make an appointment to get an oil change done but was told all I need to do is drive in and get it taken care of. After driving in today I was told it would take 3 hours to get my oil changed. After asking if I could just make an appointment for it so I don't have to wait, I was told no, I just need to come at a less busy time like 7:15 in the morning. My new Toyota from Larry H Miller was serviced in less than 30 minutes with a giant line of cars in their service department. Service department needs some help with their service. read more

I made a repair appointment more than a week in advance. I brought my Dodge Sprinter van in because the heater controller blasted only hot air, even with the fuse removed. After keeping us waiting for an hour, an apologetic serviceman came in and said that their only Sprinter technician had a doctor's appointment and handed us back our key. It's a mystery why no one called us to cancel our appointment so we could find another service center. My new 2019 truck came with the 12" navigation system and it does not work. They knew it didn't work before I bought it. A few days after I bought it I realized it didn't work and tried to return the truck, but they say I'm stuck. Uconnect and guardian say the problems are in the 2018 and 2019 models and Chrysler is aware, but there is no fix as of yet. They won't fix the problem or take the truck back. Purchase nothing from any Chrysler product, Jeep, fiat, Ram, Dodge, Chrysler etc. They do not stand behind their products, are willing to sell broken junk and are willing to let me waste $64000. I have been working on this since July with no resolution and the truck doesn't work. read more

Horrible service experience! Took my 2 week old truck for warranty service (vibration at certain speeds). Supposedly problem was resolved, got truck back with same issue. Took truck in a second time, was told that all pick up trucks vibrate. Was told by the service manager (Mr. Portillo) that there was nothing that could be done and that it is normal for my brand new $48000 truck to vibrate. I try my best to shop local buy local but poor customer service experience really makes me want to spend my hard earned money else where. I found that when something went badly wrong with my Dodge truck due to an engineering problem with the engine, Melloy Dodge was far more interested in trying to squeeze every dollar (thousands, actually) they could out of me rather than trying to make right a wrong. The Technical stuff: The engine on my truck failed before it hit 100,000 miles, due to a known engineering issue with my particular engine. It was the year they went to aluminum heads on the 4.7 Magnum, and apparently they didn't build the ports big enough, making them prone to clogging, eventually resulting in a blown head gasket. When the head gasket goes it dumps the engines coolant into the oil sump, which then ruins all the bearings etc, so the entire engine has to be replaced. It is a very common problem with that particular motor, usually occurring between 70,000 and 100,000 miles, The engine and drive train were originally warranted for 60,000 miles. My Story I have a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4X4 crew cab pick up truck. It has a lot of extra things added onto it over the years, nerf bars, tow package; rhino bed liner, a Thule boat rack, etc. It had less than 100,000 miles and was well maintained, regular oil changes, tune ups, etc, I use the truck mostly to go camping, and I was afraid of getting stuck in the woods, so I looked after it very carefully. I had it towed to Melloy Dodge from my house when it had trouble starting and was blowing white smoke out the exhaust. It sat there for a couple of days and then I received a call telling me that the engine needed to be replaced (Essentially they looked at the oil dipstick, saw the coolant in it, knew exactly what happened, easy diagnosis. They told me they estimated the cost of the engine replacement with a remanufactured long block would be $7100.00. I was pretty upset. They told me they would have a salesman call me to 'see what he could do'. I started making my own calls for repair estimates at other places in the meantime. The salesman called, I was offered 1000 dollars trade in on a new truck. That was $1000 for my 4 wheel drive, crew cab, SLT truck, with less than 100,000 miles. The aftermarket add ons, used were worth more alone if I sold them used on Craigslist. There was no other discussion about discounts or deals on a new truck, at a time when they are offering 15 percent discounts on them internet. So I could overpay for a new truck, because my current Dodge didn't make it to the 100,000 mark. I called 5 other shops for estimates on an engine replacement, All but one of those estimates were in the 4-6 thousand dollar range. The one that wanted 9500 was in a wealthier area of town, and probably used to robbing desperate customers, much like Melloy. I ended up just buying my own remanufactured engine and having it installed, and ended up paying less than $3500, using the shop on KAFB and its experienced ASE Certified Mechanics. The engine Remanufacture, the shop selling it (Advance Auto), and the Shop on base still all made money off of the deal, a reasonable profit. The cost included a new clutch and water pump, since the engine was already out. So Melloy intended to charge me over double for my engine replacement, taking advantage of my distress, caused by their engineering flaw. Or rob me selling me a new truck. The story doesn't end there. While my truck was on their lot, my Thule boat rack was stolen from off of the truck bed. I found out a few days after it was towed to KAFB from the dealership. I thought it was likely the tow company. I saw the truck at Melloy with the rack still on it, and when I checked up on it at KAFB the rack was gone. The shop at KAFB takes pictures of incoming vehicles to protect themselves, and provided me of the tuck as it came into the shop. I called Melloy to try and get their camera footage, since the lot there is presumably covered by cameras. I was forwarded to the Service Supervisor. I asked him to look at the footage. "We only keep our video for seven days" He said. "It was Saturday" I said "We only keep our video for 5 days." He said, immediately. "Saturday was 4 days ago" I responded. "We only cover until 11 on Saturday." Another immediate response. "Great," I said, "That is when they would have arrived to pick up the truck" "We only have footage from 930 that night" So you can see where that went. I was obviously, blatantly lied to. They just did not want to even bother looking. I was not worth their time. I called the front and was directed to the Customer Service Liaison. I told her my story. She checked into my situation and called back. The Service Manager says that the video doesn't go back that far, repeating what I had already told her. So, I will never look to Melloy Dodge for service again, and certainly do not trust them enough to ever buy a vehicle from them. It kind of sucks, because I like Dodge, but what can I do? read more

Good luck getting any service after the sale. Before you buy, you are an A1 priority. After wards, you get no attention whatsoever. For example, my wife and I made arrangements to drop the new car off for some "IOU" work that was a condition of the sale. This trip was the third attempt to set something up. When we got there, 10 month old and all, the person who was supposed to do the work wasn't there! Apparently he never works on the day they told us to come in. We've decided to forget the IOU items and the four free oil changes. I suppose that is what they hope to achieve. read more

We had the worst experience ever at Melloy Dodge Service Dept. We have taken our 08 Dakota in for two transmission service, checkups all less than 5 years apart as required. We needed some service on the trans. took it to Melloy Dodge who did all the previous services. Because we did not WORD our request for service every time we brought it in' they denied the claim. They did the service and will not recognize it toward warranty. Shady, Underhanded are some of the things that come to mind. Melloy Dodge Just lost Dodge a repeat customer. No more dodge. read more

I was skeptical of this dealership, based on Yelp reviews. I was nearly stranded due to clogged fuel filter on 3500. Every employee I encountered at Melloy Dodge was pleasant to deal with. They had me on my way back to Oklahoma in a couple of hours, after changing my fuel filter (and another part I had broken). Where to start. We purchased a vehicle here in May 2013. They only had one key but the sales rep assured us he would get the other one and call us when it was available. After 3 days and no call we tried calling and and left a total of 10 messages over 2 weeks and heard nothing back from him ever. A few months ago I had a coolant leak and took it in for service. I dropped it of at my scheduled appointment time 10:00 am and told the service advisor I had to have it back that day. After 3 hours I didn't hear anything from my service advisor. I called and left 2 messages before I finally got a call back. They were just getting to it but weren't sure if it would be done by the end of the day. As the end of the day approached I tried calling to find out the status. Left messages again and no call back. Finally at 4:30 I called again and was told it had been done for 30 minutes and the key was at the cashiers desk. Last week I scheduled an appointment for today. I dropped my car off at 9:30 this morning. I left messages at 11:00, 1:00 and 2:00 because again I hadn't heard from my advisor. Finally at 2:30 I got a call back and they hadn't even looked at it yet. Why do they schedule appointments when they don't plan on getting to your car anywhere near the appointment time? These folks are all amateurs in the car biz. They don't understand the first thing about customer service. I called in and made an appointment for service on my Caravan. When I got there, they had no record of an appointment. They only had maybe 3 cars in the service bay, so they took me. Had to wait several hours for just an AC diagnostic and brake check. The tech spent most of his time on his computer and ignored repeated requests from the female service writer to finish up. Once again it deals with their service department. Just a quick back history, we purchased a new tire in Jun 13 and Oct 13, this vehicle finds every screw in the road. Had a tire that blew out on a Sunday so had the car towed to Melloy. They put a new tire on, balance, and an alignment, car was going slightly to the left so an alignment was probably in order. We picked the car up Monday, got on Coors just before target and had to go back to the service department because the car now goes to the right, and not just slightly. When we get back to the service department and talk to them they tell us it is radial pull, not sure how that happens by replacing one tire. We were also told that we should try going to Big O and see if they would do a tire warranty, this is not where we bought the tires and they knew it so not sure why they would warranty a tire they did not sell. Called the Service Manager early this morning and got the normal, we will have your service manager call you and set up a time to bring it back in. here it is over 4 hours later and I had to leave a msg with their customer care rep to see if she could get something going. In the meantime I took the car to another dealership and their answer was quick, they need to put the two newer tires on the back, it is a RWD, because it seems to be a tread issue. Will be glad when this is over and next time I will pay the cost to have it towed anywhere but Melloy. read more

The only reason they are getting one star is because if you are buying they are more than helpful, after the sale forget it. My 2018 challenger had the power steering go out at 48000 miles, I had it towed to Melloy on Tuesday for a 8 am appointment on Thursday, after calling a couple of times on Thursday afternoon an being told it was on the rack an they didn't have the answer yet, I stopped by the dealership, the car was sitting exactly where the tow truck had dropped it off, I went in and spoke with Brian whom had told me it was on the rack and ask how it could be two places at once. He became rude an said they had taken it off the rack. I then ask to speak to the service manager who was out of town. I spoke with the sales manager Jesse who assured me that he would try an help an I would receive a call by 8:30 the next morning, at 11 am I called Jesse an left a message because I had not heard from them. It is now 2 pm an my car is still sitting in the same spot an I have called for a tow truck to take it to another dealer. A phone call an honest answers go a long way, Brian point blank lied to me an Jesse did not do as promised. My husband and I have purchased vehicles from Melloy dodge in the past. NEVER AGAIN!! After spending over $50k on a new Ram truck, the engine blew within the first 100 miles on the vehicle. Melloy had the vehicle in service for almost 2 months, with very little to no updates. We recent purchased a new SRT8 Charger and had it into the service department for warranty work. Not only did the service department break the item they were supposed to install... But it has been 3 weeks and we have yet to hear anything from the dealership on how they plan on fixing the problem. I'm all for going across town to the competing dodge dealership from now on.... Melloys customer service is terrible, and they don't treat their customers with any level of professional respect. We will never buy another vehicle from Melloy Dodge, and we will ensure to recommend Larry H Miller Dodge which is across town in the future... Finally, a Used Car dealer that keeps their word. I called and spoke to Eric Alires, and told him what I needed and could afford. And it took him a day or so, but he made it work. He called, we went down, and it cost us just what he said, at what we afford. No one gave us any crap, or costly extras. That is a BIG deal. We will definitely buy another car from Melloy with no reservations. The only thing we added, which I believe is nessessary, was GAP. For a few bucks, the coverage is worth it. But from the salesman to the finance dept, no complaints at all. read more

I just recently had my 2007 Jeep Commander serviced at Melloy Dodge. Two positives: they got me scheduled for service immediately and two, they fixed my vehicle (from what I can tell). However, those were the only two good things from my experience. They failed to communicate delays in the service, failed to return my phone calls, and I had to pester THEM to find out what the status of my repair was. Their customer service is terrible; the service manager heard my feedback but never offered to make it right after complaining about the lack of customer service/timely communication (pretty much brushed a disappointed customer off). Only after talking to the dealership manager did they finally offer at least an OIL CHANGE after I suggested some sort of chance to build customer relations. I wouldn't recommend getting your vehicle serviced here and I highly doubt I'll be purchasing my next vehicle from there. read more
