I came here to get a new pipe because I broke my old one and this place hooked it up with a sturdy high quality glass pipe for a good price. The owner was also super friendly and helpful. If you check in on yelp they'll throw in a pretty durable mini pipe with a $20 purchase too. It's a pretty sweet deal, I'll definitely be using this one as my travel pipe! Huge selection of pipes and hookahs. Allllll the basic head shop stuff is covered here. Semi decent selection of hookah tobacco, but they DO have alllll the supplies you'll ever need to enjoy your hookah. Prices are a little marked up, but it comes with the territory. And the people that work there that I've come in contact with are friendly and casual. Not a scowling old man or an apathetic hippie in a baha. Will continue to go there. read more

This shop is located across the street from Fairfax High School. I stopped by last weekend to pick up some supplies for my hookah. The guy working there was really helpful and showed me and my friends a variety of options. While I appreciated him telling us that "this brand is better" or "this is a healthier option" I couldn't help but feel like he was just trying to sell the more expensive product to us. He was really friendly though! My only qualm with this shop is that it was a little pricey. Ooh - but if you check in on Yelp, you get a free pipe! I was pretty excited about that! read more

Stumbled in here one night thinking it might have some unique pieces. I'm sick of seeing all the same kinds of glass - especially the novelty pieces. You know what I'm talking about; the Angry Birds, Star Wars, etc. I just want to find a shop that has something unique. This is your average smoke shop. If you're looking for standard-issue glass, this will suit you just fine. Just don't go in expecting to find anything that blows you away. read more

Was taking a walk in LA drinking wine from a McDonalds cup and needed something to smoke on, but trying to limit my cancer intake so I spontaneously decided to finally buy a vaping machine! Even after haggling dude sold it to me for twice as much as I later found out it is online and the kit didn't even include everything it is supposed to come with! He lied to me about how long the fluids last. What a jerk. I wish I had waited to do research on them or at least went to a place with honest and real salespeople. read more

They have flavored rolling papers, like all kinds of flavors, but they hardly function. This shop is lame and has nothing much to offer. It closes way before my grandma's bedtime and she's 102. There is no cool or nice shit in this shop and it pretty much sucks. It should just close down because with the selection of awesome head shops, they are looking worse on a daily basis. read more

A few weeks ago, I purchased a hookah piece as a birthday present from Melrose Smoke Shop. We gave it to our friend and prepared the hookah. Upon filling it with water, the glass instantly cracked. We took it back to Melrose Smoke Shop to exchange it. The salesman was rude and refused to even have a conversation about it. He dismissed me while mumbling about how it probably broke because I didn't know how to use it. This is certainly not the case, I have been making hookah with my family since I was a teenager. I would discourage any fellow hookah enthusiasts from doing business here as the customer service we experienced was surprisingly subpar. We all work hard for our money and when we purchase an expensive piece as a gift, we should be able to expect that the shelf life of that gift is longer than a few hours. read more

Went into this shop on a Sunday night. Guy was charging 60% more than neighboring shops for the same exact Starbuzz Tobacco, $16 here for the small tin compared to $10 almost everywhere else). It was super obvious that he just came up with a random price and was trying to rip us off. He also kept pressuring us relentlessly to buy his favorite flavors instead of the one we came in and asked for, which was not in stock. He didn't even listen when we said no. We needed other accessories too, but just decided to take our business elsewhere. Plenty of other shops around, skip this place! read more

My friend and I went into the Melrose Smoke Shop to buy supplies for our hookah, clueless. The owner of the shop, Odai, greeted us and took his time to step by step show us what products we needed for the hookah, how to pack a bowl of sheesha, how to use the coals, and thoroughly explained everything else that we could have possibly needed to know. Not only were we impressed by the high diversity of inventory that this smoke shop offered, but by the extremely friendly customer service! I highly, HIGHLY recommend this smoke shop.
