I'm a big fan of food truck parks and Melt caught my eye when I stopped by this one! Who doesn't love a good grilled cheese? The owner was super friendly and the food came out a timely manner. My order was yummy but didn't blow me away. It didn't have very many apples and the turkey wasn't anything special. Again it was good and I enjoyed it, but it just didn't quite reach 5 stars for me. I did love that they include an oreo for a little treat when you're done :) I would like to come back and try out something else on the menu!

Cute little food cart in Oregon. I was staying here for the weekend for a wedding and wanted a grilled cheese really bad. The guy was a little busy and overwhelmed but he made an exception and made me cheddar on sourdough and it was delicious!!!

Delicious! Can't say enough about this place. Grilled cheese is my favorite comfort food and this place nails it!

The Rimatore - notice that Oreo hiding up there? Pickles and mustard are hiding under the chips, too.

When I think grilled cheese, this is exactly what I want. Cheesy gooey goodness with a side of salt, a glob of mustard, and a teensy bit of sweet. Melt was sweet to include the single Oreo. Maybe slightly pricy for the amount of food, but it hit the spot just right.

Great grilled cheese with quality bread. The tomato soup was a great addition to the grilled cheese

Immaculate atmosphere and the exact sort of thing we were looking for for breakfast. We didn't get her name but saw on the receipt her name might have been Davi, she was such a bundle of light and life, so attentive and kind! She immediately gave us wonderful recommendations which we all adored. The table ordered praline bacon to share (do yourself a favor and get this), one ordered the praline bacon waffle, another ordered the bananas foster waffle, and I got the seasonal vegetable hash. We were all in HEAVEN with what we ordered. From the first bite to the last it we were all absolutely stunned by how delicious and well made everything was. I savored every bite as did my compatriots. One gal ordered a couple things to go for her family (huevos rancheros for the hubby and cinnamon rolls for her kiddos) and our waitress Davi recommended they bring out the cinnamon rolls unfired so that she could pop them in the oven when she got home after a short drive. It was such good attention to detail that felt like such a friendly offer. Absolute superstars, the lot of you. Next time I'm back in Portland I'm absolutely spoiling some friends here with what I can only describe as a transcendent experience.

I was wrong - this place is delicious, bustling, and fun. We went just before 11 on Labor Day and although there was already a crowd the host managed the line expertly. We waited about 15 minutes and were seated inside a busy, airy room with every table full. Service was fast and friendly. We had the cinnamon rolls which were soft and sweet and appropriately gooey. We also shared the chicken and biscuits with mushroom gravy. The chicken was so well seasoned - as was the gravy. The potatoes were soft and crispy at once. Absolutely delicious.

My gf had never been though we lived near for years. We got the onion rings to start and have never had rings like this. Their dipping sauce was super tasty. They were huge and almost a meal. The crunch on the was fantastic and the onions cut as you bit into them, not one pulled out. We split the chicken and waffles. Chicken just perfect and crunchy and the crunch is seasoned as well. One of those meals you shake ur head the whole time hoping the flavors won't stop. The portion was big and glad we split it. The waffle was crunchy and big. The cup of stew was very tasty as well.

Normally, I don't mind some more breading, but I also felt it was a tad too hard and salty. The texture of the waffle was also......hmmm, not terrible, but definitely not the sort of crispiness I want. More chewy than crispiness even when I first got it. My mom had special requests as usual, and this waitress was very nice as well, but the joint was not as accommodating as some others have been. They did have egg whites, but when she asked for more vegetables, the waitresses implied that the only vegetable they could provide was zucchini, and it could not be changed because......that's what the chef decided? After she got her entree (egg whites, cheese and zucchini?), my mom complained that her scramble was tiny, but got way too much toast. Looking at her plate, I feel like she had a point this time. I don't think this place is bad, but I've had a lot of good chicken and waffles in my time, and this falls slightly short imho.

(Seriously, if they had one, I'd probably never leave.) We settled in with a bowl of soup, a sandwich, and the absolute kindest woman I think I've ever had prepare my food. She made the whole experience feel personal, like we were guests at her own table. Now, let's talk food! The gumbo had a rich, hearty flavor with a little kick--though, according to my Louisiana in-laws, it would technically be a stew. (But hey, delicious is delicious!) My special order pastrami sandwich was a winner--like a Reuben's cousin, but with its own personality. The shaved meat was perfectly tender, pairing beautifully with my soup. The rest of the family (a mix of kids and adults) went for a variety--salads, a shaved ham sandwich, and tater tot casserole. No complaints from anyone, which, if you've ever dined with kids, is practically a miracle. Everyone left full, happy, and with just enough leftovers for a bonus lunch the next day. Bottom line? Great food, warm atmosphere, and service that made us feel truly welcome. We'll be back!
