Melt or poutine? Melt or poutine? So hard to decide and while I would normally ask, "Why not both?" I decided to just get a sandwich today. Friendly service, a list of a half-dozen on the Melt Menu and I decided that the "Buffalo Chicken" would be the choice for today. And I'm sorry, I opted to go without fries. Unwrapping back at the desk, this is a serious sandwich. Full-sized and loaded with spicy chicken and melted cheese on grilled bread. First bite? Delicious! Tenth bite? Still delicious! Had the chance to work with Melt through planning a work outing. Melt was amazing!! We hired melt for this event and they did not disappoint. The food was delicious, their staff was amazing and no one would have to wait too long for their food. The melt food truck made a visit at my local brewery (Mighty Squirrel) so I was able to have some of their poutine! I haven't had poutine in years so I was super excited to have them again. The fries are extremely crispy and well-seasoned. I would love to just snack on the fries itself. The gravy was a little too salty. The cheese curds had less of a funky flavor that I remember from Poutine I had in Canada. But the ratio of curds, fries, and gravy was good! Although it was good the gravy was too salty for me. Visited this Food Truck during the PAX Event and was not disappointed whatsoever. Their Vast selection of Poutine dishes was a major plus. I ordered the Chipotle Chicken Poutine and a friend of mine got their Garlic Parmesian and Regular Fries as well for his kids. The Fries on all the dishes were cooked to perfection and the flavors were outstanding. Combined with the quick service they had and I must say I was highly impressed with Melt. Highly recommend this Truck and I will be back to try your other dishes. read more

I can't speak to the food - but I'm amazed by the lack of service. I had a question about a menu item while at The Mighty Squirrel last Sunday. Instead of.. you know, speaking to me, the girl at the window of the truck just stared, as if dazed, straight through me until I went away. Later in the afternoon, she was witnessed screaming about her life philosophy. And complaining that they weren't busy. This struck many of us who sat nearest to the food trucks as strange... I ordered the two sandwiches available. Pulled Pork and a "Banh Mi." I'm not singling Melt out here as many many establishments are trying to capitalize on the Banh Mi trend, but this was not a Banh Mi. Banh Mi should always be on a Baguette or french style sandwich roll. Furthermore, at minimum Banh Mi should encompass lots of crispy crunchy veggies, cilantro, some tanginess and a little funk. Now, judging this sandwich for what is actually is and not what it pretends to be, it is ok. We're talking braised pork with some pickled carrots and radish, housemade pickles and a drizzle of a ginger dressing, in between two slices of toasted bread. I appreciated the texture of the fresh bread, although half of my sandwich was very soggy, the other half had great toasted texture, a sourdough tang. Pork was tender and the whole sandwich has a fresh quality to it. Ginger sauce adds a great complexity, although distribution was uneven as only certain parts of the sandwich had that ginger nuance. I would order this sandwich again. Pulled pork sandwich. Pulled pork was much less interesting. In between two slice of fresh bread we have pulled pork smothered in BBQ sauce, cheese , onions and cabbage. The BBQ sauce and cheese could have been more interesting if the sandwich was hot, but maybe by the time I got home (3 minutes after buying the sandwich) the peak of interaction between cheese and sauce had passed. This left me with a hardened cheese around the bread, which didn't add much. The sauce was typical BBQ sauce, and the pork was decent enough. Some onions and cabbage add some texture, but onions were too harsh, a little caramelization would have been great, or maybe go with a red onion. I would not order this sandwich again. read more

Messy, melty, and filling, this truck serves great drinking food. If you opt for the poutine, you will get a gut bomb, in a good way- it's insane how heavy and full that container gets with all of the toppings (especially with the BBQ style with all of the pulled pork), so you're definitely getting your $s worth (and probably 2 meals worth, although it wouldn't keep very well). I thought the pork could have used some more flavor and the cheese curds could have used more melting, but the BBQ sauce and pickled onions were tasty. If you opt for the melt though, you run the risk of getting barely-toasted bread- maybe it's just because they were slammed, but it was a bit disappointing (and uneven too, because some of the other melts coming out were much more toasted and well-done). But at least the staff were nice enough and kept the line moving as best they could. read more

So good! We came to a local brewery specifically because we knew this truck would be there and they had poutine (see pic). It did not disappoint. It was delicious. We were with some friends and one tried the Cubans and liked it. The other had the Special and that was good too. Definitely one to check out. read more

Tried this food tuck while at the Mighty Squirrel recently - ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and the classic poutine. The ordering process was fine- they had left small cards with the QR code to their menu near by our seats and we received the order TO our seats efficiently. The food...was mediocre. The buffalo chicken sandwich was a buffalo chicken sandwich - nothing more - and the poutine was a disappointment. There were the French fries and the cheese curds but barely any gravy so there wasn't much melt and the cheese curds just felt like separate toppings. I know it's three simple ingredients but please don't skimp one of the three and call it poutine. read more

Real good concept. Decent price for what it is. Had the chipotle chicken, which was a really well designed set of flavors on excellent bread. Pulled/chicken wrapped in what appeared to be a sheet of fried cheese? Delicious, and helped hold the whole sandwich together. The knock though? It was INCREDIBLY salty, and I say that as someone who loves salt. It was borderline painful to eat (from salt, not spice; the chipotle was mild and tangy in a good way), and my mouth is completely dried out right now because of it. It's entirely possible the saltiness was a one-off mistake (someone slipped with a shaker in prep or doubled something by accident), but it was a significant enough issue to concern me. I'll give it a second chance and update this review when I do, but we'll see if it's that salty again. read more

Checked your truck out today at the Somersworth Food Truck Festival where I tried your pesto poutine. It was lovely! The basil pesto was fresh and flavorful as were the tomatoes. The very thin slice of the onions helped jump up the pesto flavor and the poutine curds and fries were a solid base. May have to take a trip out of Maine to visit you all again. Yummy! read more

So good! It was at the Suffolk Downs food truck festival when I decided to try it out. The classic poutine was so delicious. The fries were freshly fried with delicious, melty cheese curds. It was a great snack for horse racing. I will definitely be hitting up this truck again in the future. read more
