Yeah, I wrote my first review of this place almost exactly two years ago and I was just starting out my BBQ Reviews. Since then I've been to over a hundred other places. I regret giving them 5 stars based off of the Ribs from that day and nothing else. I guess they have a second truck in Florida during the winter? Maybe they just take to truck to Florida for that season but it's a bit annoying because they keep saying where they are going to be but not what state. Anyways ... Still no regular brisket, just the sandwich. Now they have Egg Rolls ... yippee. I've come to a determining factor when it comes to the quality of BBQ spots. Unless they are known for them, if a menu has Egg Rolls or Loaded Mac and Cheese options ... it's probably bad. Need to spend a bit more time making your Mac and Cheese GOOD before throwing a bunch of bbq sauce and meat on it to make it look like it's good. And Egg Rolls are just ... no. Focus on the quality of the meat right out of the smoker, not all this dumb "how can we make it seem like fair food that dumb people will buy anyway". So Ribs were dry, not pre-cut like they were before, extra hard bark, Slathered in sauce to the point I was carrying a styrofoam carton of sauce with some ribs for garnish. Didn't even get a plastic knife to cut through them which wouldn't have worked anyway. Clearly these were cooked days ago and just reheated. And I was the first customer of the day. And they opened up 30 minutes late. Mac and cheese was extremely flavorless. That means it has so much NONE flavor to it that it sucks any flavor out of your mouth so you can't taste Anything. Just a White cheese sauce that should win a prize for least flavored food ever ... water has more taste than this. Coleslaw was too old, cabbage wasn't crispy anymore, drowning in mayo. Only reason I was eating it was because I needed to get the taste out of my mouth from the dry ribs. Oh and they had "on special" Fried Cornbread Bites ... Which is translated into Literal Language as "We have some old corn bread so well slice it up, butter it, and throw it in the frier for a few and charge more for it and call it a special" ... This is not quality BBQ. And they have 2 sauce options. Sweet and Hickory ... why they slathered my ribs in Sweet is beyond me. Doesn't matter anyway, they don't make either one of them. All these other 5 star reviews, especially the ones saying they've had BBQ in North Carolina and Tennessee and all that, If you don't eat BBQ like crazy then I guess you'll think it's great. Not every BBQ joint in the BBQ Belt is automatically some of the BEST BBQ on the planet. A LOT of them REALLY SUCK! But if your standards are chill then I guess you'll be okay with this place but personally I feel like you are getting scammed. Days old Ribs, Flavorless Mac and Cheese, Whole menu section dedicated to "Loaded" mac and Cheese to make it taste like something, Menu section dedicated to Egg Rolls to make it taste like something, Old Slaw, Brisket Sandwich but no Brisket plain, pictures posted of the same items aren't matching up, "Fried Cornbread" which is old cornbread but costs 3 times as much. Sorry, it's just not cutting it for me. read more

Had the pulled pork sandwich while this truck was at Ground Effect Brewing in Hudson this weekend. The pork was flavorful and I loved the Hickory Sauce they provided as well. It was served on a big bulky roll , which normally I love. My one complaint is that in the takeout container they served it in all the liquid from the pork had soaked through the bottom half of the sandwich bun, almost so much that I couldn't pick it up because it was just falling apart. I'm not sure if that's because it was sitting out there for a bit or what but that was kinda disappointing to eat a soggy sandwich. But I'm still giving it 4 stars because it was very tasty. Maybe next time I'll try something else but still very delicious. read more

After waiting in an enormous line to order their ribs I was fairly disappointed. These are solidly average ribs. They're ok but nothing special. The service was friendly and the truck food area seemed clean and well kept!! read more

My husband had their Brisket with a side of corn bread & mac n cheese. He was in heaven with his huge servings. I had the bbq chicken sandwich and it was very good with a humongous side of home French fries that we're so tasty and yummy. Couldn't finish my sandwich had to take it home. Noticed a bbq truck on my way home from work, had to stop in. Ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese, and a 2 meat platter with a side of mac, the bill was almost $40! I don't mind paying if the bbq is exceptional, this was just ok. The ribs were huge but lacked flavor, same with the Mac and cheese. Too expensive for a food truck in my opinion, your overhead isn't too much compaired to a restaurant, why are the prices high? read more

Horrible. It's a food truck, shouldn't the food already be prepared and ready to serve? It took 30 minutes in order to get my food and I ordered the brisket sandwich. I have no idea why it took that long. And it wasn't as if the brisket was good either. Plus, there was no spicy bbq sauce. Only reason why it's two stars is because the food was edible. Definitely a go to when I want barbecue. I recommend anything like the mac & cheese with meat over it and the brisket is really good. Also the fried pickles are amazing! Just one thing that could improve is the amount of meat in the fried egg rolls. I liked them but they'd be even better with a little bit more meat and bbq sauce in it. But the owners are warm and welcoming and you can tell they are dedicated to their business and their customers. read more

I visited the food truck while they were parked at Nashoba Valley Winery for Food truck Friday. Their whole operation was a complete and utter nightmare. We arrived before it was very busy and stood in line waiting to order for 25 mins. We finally placed our order, paid, and gave our name and stood to the side waiting for our name to be called. We ordered 2 brisket mac and cheeses and 1 order of fried pickles. There were probably 10 people ahead of us waiting. 45 mins rolls around and I figured they are probably backed up. Meanwhile, there is a large line of about 100 people waiting to place orders. 1 hour and 30 minutes into standing waiting for our small order and NOTHING. I'm livid at this point and go up to demand a refund to find a line of others angry wanting refunds as well. They had similar times such as and hour, and hour 20 mins, but by far ours was the worst time. The cashier was ignoring the people wanting refunds and makes a mad dash inside. To our surprise we see her scrambling through tickets which were lost throughout the floor covered in bbq sauce. Apparently they had dropped the tickets and didn't know who was first to place orders. She comes back out to yet again, TAKE MORE ORDERS! Why are they taking orders when you have a large group of people who have waited hours for their food? A lady beside me says "STOP TAKING ORDERS!" which they ignore as well. I waited 1 hour and 50 mins and finally hear her say my name. At this point I had already said screw this and ordered a hamburger from the concession stand through Nashoba. We sat down and tasted this 2 hour mac and cheese to find that its cold and pretty flavorless. Basically we wasted $34 for this overpriced mac and cheese. This food trucks staff should really have a better system for ticketing. Its clear that they are more concerned about the quantity of orders than the quality of their food and getting it out in a timely manner. Never again! read more

I hardly ever write reviews, but I can't contain my enthusiasm...greasy fingers on keyboard (still eating): this place is AMAZING. Sure, I may need a coronary bypass sooner than later, but I swear to you this deep fried cornbread (seriously!) is worth the hospital stay. This pulled pork? Some of the best I've ever had (and I've had plenty). The pork is even better mixed with this seriously-homemade thick and creamy mac & cheese. The truck itself was a little buried, deep inside the 306 Belmont parking lot location today (one of two locations they park at, so don't forget to check the calendar on their website for locations and hours. Went there for my first time today and say I was so happy that I did. I have had BBQ in NC, SC, VA, GA, TN, LA...you get the picture and this place was just as good if not better then some of the must stops in those states. Got to say the brisket was so flavorful and juicy with a great Smokey taste. Same with the pulled pork. I do agree with some of the others...the Mac & Cheese not that spectacular but paired with the exceptional pulled pork...you hardly noticed. First off, I just want to say that if you're short on time, this place is an absolute no go! I was at a football game with my boyfriend and we spotted this truck from across the field and thought it might be a nice treat. We ordered our food, chicken fingers and fries x2 and an additional order of fries - about 20 minutes later the so called chef steps out of his truck to watch the game and we ask him how much longer and he had absolutely no idea about our order. He clearly saw us standing outside his truck and didn't even flinch to ask us if we were all set. Hah! We find out it was never made ! And they said it would be another 5 minutes ! I promptly asked for my money back! What a joke of an establishment as his assistant or so-called sous chef was face-timing the entire time, not doing anything. This is a review of the food truck at the corner of Highland and Lancaster in Worcester, based only on a brisket sandwich. The brisket was piled high -- very generous -- and lightly sauced on a fresh, high-quality bun. No bark, and just a little fat. Hmm. The first bite yielded a hint of smoke, but disassembly revealed that the smoke flavor was from the drizzle of sauce. I tried this food truck for the first time today and I liked my meal. I got the one meat plate that comes with cornbread and a side. I picked the pulled pork for my meat and the jalapeno poppers for my side. The poppers were my absolute favorite, they were cut in half and each have been filled with cream cheese and deep fried, the breading was thick and delicious. The pulled pork was very good too; however, it didn't have that true bbq smoke flavor and I agree with another post that there was little to no char. The fat was reasonable on the meat, just a little and of course it's pork so.. fat goes without saying but I'm just stating the meat portion was not all fatty. The cornbread was your basic cornbread, one reviewer wrote theirs was deep fried, mine wasn't. Portions were good, I paid $15 for the plate and I still have some leftover meat for later. I would guess the meat qty for the plate is approx. double the meat that you would see on the sandwich. I would eat here again as the food was tasty and good- just don't expect true char bbq. read more
