Just as I was about to give up and head home I discovered what I believe to be the most authentic Mexican food I have had in Oregon, ever. It's tucked next to a smoke shop in a strip mall in mikwaukie, the sign has no light and you have to go through a store to get to the restaurant - it's not an easy spot to find. Without a bit of luck I never would have found it as Google doesn't even know it's there. But it is. And friends of OCCC I tell you, if you're craving that sweet carnitas with crispy edges in a homemade corn tortilla topped with fresh cilantro? I asked if I could get a wet towel to wipe down a table. An employee came to clean the table for us. As we waited for our number to be called, I commented that I wished they had chips and salsa. I was not disappointed with the flavors or temperature of the food. The relleno was authentic, and the cheese in the enchilada had just the right amount of pull. The rice was good too. My friend commented that she was going to save half of her enormous burrito for later. Well, that didn't happen. She finished it all. I had too much food and took it back to the hotel to have for dinner the next day. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely come back.
