The doctor did not bother checking mom whatsoever and sent someone else to check mom. Mom had a high fever of 106 which are typical signs of infection, baby was also not moving in the belly... 16 painful hours later she is scheduled for c section and at birth the baby is hurt which caused visible facial bruising. Not to mention the baby also was not crying at all after birth. It wasn't until a family member checked the baby and she had a bruised tongue, bruising on the head and chest as well which was mentioned to the doctor and we were told it was "normal". After the procedure, a few of the docs and nurses who were in charge of mom and baby were heard talking to each other all while our family member was listening, not knowing that we are bilingual Latinos who speak fluent English. It made us very upset that they were speaking between each other but not directly to our family whom had multiple questions as to why they took so long to schedule the procedure and why the baby looked hurt. Our family is infuriated with the "labor/delivery preop and postop care" given to both the mom and the baby, i highly recommend moms go elsewhere as I do not EVER wish this horrible experience for anyone of you. She is more than just a neurologist or doctor, she truly cares about her patients. You never feel like you are being rushed or that she needs to move on to her next patient. Dr. Yafeh always gives you her undivided attention, listens, and ask questions. I feel very seen and heard, and that is priceless! Having a stroke at age 42 was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. Dr. Yafeh has been a key factor on my road to recovery. Additionally, the entire office staff at NeuroMedical Group are incredibly helpful and friendly.

After a week of this, I finally opted to just sit on hold. Turns out they never have a massive queue, the wait is never more than a few minutes. But the staff is an absolute nightmare. Today I spoke with "Hamza" and he talked really quietly unless he was talking over me (which he did the whole time) and refused to make any changes after I explained I have an Auditory Processing Disorder. He then put me on hold to speak to a colleague, left me on hold for nearly 10 minutes then returned to say I needed to send an email. I don't have an email address for them and when I asked why he couldn't schedule me if he's a scheduling operator is because his colleague said they needed my referral first. I told him I have a PPO and don't need one but I can provide contact for the 3 doctors that made the reco I speak to a neurologist if they need. He said his colleague thought I had an HMO - I asked why he would think that and he didn't answer just said he would schedule me. I asked with who and he gave a name I didn't recognize. I asked him to stop, please because it was clear there'd been some miscommunication. He hadn't even taken my insurance so he'd be scheduling blind AND I was calling to get the availability for a specific neurologist at their location. When he again interrupted and reverted to speaking at an inconsistent pace/volume I stated this clearly wasn't working and asked if he could transfer me to someone else. He said yes, put me back on hold, and then rerouted me to the main menu instead. With no other option I re-entered the queue for scheduling operators only to wait my turn and be hung up on. I have since called back at least 5 times, and tried an alternate number for the office I found online. Every time, I wait in the queue, and then when my turn comes, I'm hung up on. I'm sure Hamza thinks he's hilarious but I will be reporting the behavior to my insurance company, and the ADA at bare minimum. I guarantee this behavior is not limited to his phone interactions and if this is how he treats someone with an APD, I cannot imagine how he treats stroke survivors and those with significant cognitive impairment.

The entire surgery center smelled like garlic. Anyways love the Los Alamitos staff not sure why people think it's ok to eat inside a surgery center or any medical facility.

She waited over an hour until they took her back. The waiting room had no tables or tv on or anything to.do while waiting for love ones to awake from surgery. I ordered door dash because I wanted to be here in case I was needed . When I got my food I used another empty chair as a table to set food on to eat. Then a very rude lady explained I couldn't use chair as table. Then I proceeded to eat for about 5 min and then She decided to tell me that you couldn't eat in lobby (no signs saying this ) . After eating my meal on the steps outside in the rain and came back in, her and other staff were trying to print a no eating sign by front desk. Very cold and poor attitude that was in called for.

Now, 30 mins later I'm in the appointment room still waiting to see someone. Just to get a refill of my prescription. I was responsible by coming on time - I would expect the same from the staff here. Respect my time. Both times I came here I was asked to fill out a survey about the staff and doctor giving them 1-5 ratings BEFORE even meeting the doctor. How can I rate someone I have never met? Very unprofessional and not very helpful to the staff here. Do they even really care how they are doing or do they just want blind 5 star ratings?

On it listed the name of two first and last names of two present patients, their DOB, reason for visit, time, and a question about updated contact info. I was instantly turned off by this because aside from HIPAA reasons, it's no ones business what a patient's first and last name and date of birth is! It just seems tacky and unprofessional in a gyno environment where things should be immensely private. An employee walking down their hallway just happened to see me standing at the counter and came over to help. She was very nice but couldn't find my name on their calendar although I had an appointment (and received a text to confirm said appointment). She stated that I was the second patient that this happened to today. Keep in mind that my appointment was at 9am. If you've already had this happen to two of your patients within an hour of opening your doors for business, you're off to a really bad start! I had to show her my confirmation text for her to start doing some research on the issue, although she still couldn't locate my name in the system. I completed the required paperwork and she assured me that they'd "fit me in." Why do I need to be "fit in" if I made an appointment days prior??? I informed her that I took off work to be here and still needed to go to work. When I arrived there were three patients sitting in the waiting room. 40 mins later, I'm still sitting here. It's 9:40 am, so they definitely can't say they had a bunch of late patients which caused the domino affect of delays. I haven't been seen by the doctor yet and am contemplating walking out and just going to the doctor. Also, she said they keep your drivers license and insurance card until they call you back. In an age of ever increasing identity theft, their practices are a little to loose for my comfort. Update: They took my vitals, weighed me, and brought me back to the exam room. It's 10:20am, I've been here for an hour and twenty minutes, and have yet to be seen. They are an inconvenience and time waster.
