The place and staff were fine. My problem is getting your report of your study results. I was told my ENT doctor and I would get my results within 2 weeks. That was over a month ago. So the issue must be with the Doctor who provides then results. read more

I rarely ever write a review but this one deserves it. Terrible experience not getting any answers or follow ups. I had to become aggressive with the staff since I would wait weeks before getting a reply from this office. Everyone in this office is incompetent. I was supposed to have received a new CPAP machine paid 100% by insurance since I met all my deductibles. On my consultative visit, I was very clear and specific about what I was looking for. I explained I want a new CPAP machine and Brandon confirmed this with my insurance when they gave me the prescription. Well, yeah he didn't check. Insurance said they would never do that. He gave me the runaround and ignored my emails and calls. I had to become a jerk to get any answers from this office. Everyone comes off as pugnacious. Sure, they might have reacted this way because of me but when I haven't gotten a response in weeks after multiple follow up emails and phone calls and VM's, how do you expect my demeanor to be? Once I got some responses, they were blaming me for not doing my part. Like what the...? I told them if they had done their job and told me upfront no - your insurance will not cover this - that I would never had gone through the multiple visits. I felt taken advantage of since they billed my insurance for services that didn't need to be done. They're all awful. Plus, their sleep center felt like a run down motel 6. This is the third clinic I've been to and the other two felt like the Ritz. Needless to say, they wasted my time. read more

I WOULD GIVE YOU A ZERO IF POSSIBLE Okay, this is now going to be a damn business case study on how NOT TO DEAL WITH A BAD REVIEW/ UNHAPPY CUSTOMER. BE GRATEFUL YOU ARE GETTING A FREE LESSON ON CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PUBLIC RELATIONS. You want to play this game we will play this game. I saw my doctor who then directed me to these unprofessional people. So i have to call every week to do a follow up just for my testing. BEGINNING OF APRIL, I had to call my doctor and have the head nurse call you to demand whats going on and all of a sudden a machine becomes available to me! AMAZING RIGHT?! SO now its 4/19, i get the test and take the test and bring it back. I guess that worked out fine because well I did the test myself and did not need them for anything. Then it takes another 2 weeks for them to send the data to my doctor for the results, which could have easily been explained to a customer. "I'm sorry sir, all data has been issued to your doctor, you can call them for further information." This answer would have shown that you cared and you gave me a solution to my issue/concern. This is the beginning of MAY. May 10 comes by and I finally get my results.......... my doctor tells me if I do not hear from the CPAP people in a week call them to inquire. SO MAY 18, I call Sleep and Wellness Center, This is where I admit, this is where I got confused, i probably should have called my doctor, but he told me to call the CPAP people, which I thought was this DAMNED LOCATION Sleep and Wellness center. The person on the phone should have been trained properly, but no she was unprofessional and clearly didnt want to deal with a customer/patient on the phone. She just gave me the number to SUNRISE RESPIRATORY CARE and told me it was now in their hands. Okay I took that info, and was like i'm sorry to bother you let me do the follow up with them. I call them and was then told they never received anything regarding my documents...... AT ALL. SO I CALL SLEEP AND WELLNESS CENTER AGAIN TO CONFIRM WTH IS GOING ON. AGAIN THIS COULD HAVE EASILY BEEN RESOLVED WITH THE FOLLOWING PHRASE, because i'm clearly a confused and frustrated customer. The best part of me calling Sleep and Wellness Center 2 mins after getting off the phone with SUNRISE, was that I was screened by the front desk. and someone else picked up the phone, because this person was even worse at answering the phone. He then looked at my info and told me it was sent 5/16 to the CPAP people, which I THOUGHT WAS SUNRISE or maybe it is, WHO KNOWS BECAUSE YOU ARE SO BAD AT GIVING INFORMATION TO THE CUSTOMER. HE THEN REASSURED ME THAT HE WILL SEND IT AGAIN. WHICH I GUESS THEY DID 5/20, two days after i called their PHONE LINE. AKA YOU LAGGING PAPER PUSHERS SUCK AT YOUR JOB. YOU LITERALLY WORK AT A SLEEP STUDY CENTER, DURING THE DAY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO DO BUT DATA ENTRY AND ADMIN WORK BECAUSE NO ONE IS SLEEPING FOR YOU TO DO A DAMN STUDY. I get a blind text from NATIONWIDE. For all i know it is spam, because nationwide was never mentioned . only SUNRISE, so I'm left in the dark about who is responsible. So I call to inquire, about whats going on. i was told to contact nationwide this time, again PHONE TAG. Nationwide was waiting for MORE VERICATION FROM THE ORIGIN SOURCE. SO I CALLED SLEEP AND WELLNESS CENTER AGAIN, this is within a 5 min window keep in mind. AGAIN, my phone call was screened, this time it went straight to VM. SO I LEFT A VOICEMAIL, you could tell in my voice i was not happy, but I DID NOT FUCKING CURSE OR SAY ANYTHING MEAN, I JUST WANTED THIS SORTED. So i left this bad review, and sure enough I dont get a return call I get this passive aggressive response. GUESS WHAT THOUGH, YOU COULD HAVE JUST ANSWERED WITH THE FOLLOWING BELOW. "I"M SORRY FOR THE INCONVIENCE THIS HAS CAUSED, let us look into it and call you with a resolution to your issue." The girl working the phones has a nasty attitude. They called my boyfriend 5 days prior to confirm his appointment letting him know that they're going to send paperwork. Then they called him yesterday saying they're going to send him paperwork. They didn't even have his last name in the system. He's gotten zero paperwork and has zero information because they're not doing their jobs to follow up. We get a call just now and the rude lady is saying he needs to come now or he's going to have to pay a $250 fee. That is YOUR fault for not doing your job and sending the required paperwork to even go. This place is extremely unprofessional and whatever lady takes care of the phones needs a reality check and probably a new career not dealing with people. read more

Isaac put me on a cancellation list and I was called immediately for that same day for the sleep study. Everyone I came in contact with was very friendly and professional. The bed was very comfortable. The process was easy and later that night after I was fitted with a breathing apparatus, I didn't want to wake up! Hadn't slept that well in quite some time. Total ripoff. The machine they sent me home with was extremely cheap and ineffective. Spent three uncomfortable nights trying to get good data and was unable due to the cheap attachments and errors from the device. The Center claimed that they were able to cobble together a report from the info but that was inadequate and inconclusive per my doctor. I had to start over and pay for another study from another company. The difference in the machinery and comfort was remarkable. The staff did not care about the ineffectiveness of their report and devices. Ask your doctor for another recommendation if sent here. read more

My doctor, who I had seen back in September referred me to this unprofessional business. He indicated that my condition is an urgent issue, yet it has taken over a month to even get diagnostics done. At every stage of this process I have encountered an issue that delays treatment by days if not weeks: 1. My first phone call which was not answered and unable to leave a message because the voice mail was full 2. No response to my email until weeks later by phone 3. The lack of any emails about the receiving of the diagnostic kit or what it should contain 4. No email about instructions on how to use the device 5. The wrong instruction set when I finally do receive an email. 6. Office hours that do not align with when I would actually be using the device (night time) so I can't even ask questions until the next day. 7. The office staff is always oblivious about my profile and where they last left off with my case. I have to repeat every step that has happened with them every time. It's like they don't take any notes and really don't care The ONLY reason I am even dealing with this place is because my doctor referred me here, and I'm beginning to wonder if whether he has some sort of under the table deal with them, given how badly they fail at providing real service. read more

I've never had a "sleep study" before, but was urged to do so by my cardiologist to make sure there weren't any underlying problems from sleep apnia or lack of oxygen. The people making the appointments were thorough, and the follow-up was excellent. They took care of clearing everything they could through my insurance; the co-pay was taken care of by credit card when I checked in at the facility. When I arrived, things were quiet and peaceful. The technician was wonderful: friendly, explained things thoroughly, and very detailed when attaching the necessary leads and electronics. They told me that if I had to use the rest room in the middle of the night that I should call to make sure I was properly escorted, so they could make sure all wires were staying in place. When I did signal, they were at my bedside within about a minute. The room was large, and very comfortable -- set up like a hotel room -- and the TV has multiple options if I wanted to watch. (The only issue that the volume couldn't be adjusted. A minor issue for me, since I didn't use the television for long.) In the morning, I was awoken gently, and they disconnected everything quickly and efficiently, and I was able to leave immediately. I was thoroughly satisfied with all aspects of my experience. If I could give zero or negative stars I would. Trying to deal with the Sleep & Wellness Center has been a complete nightmare from day one. Here's what I can remember just off the top of my head: 1) when I called them on 2/4/21 to schedule a sleep study after getting the information from my doctor, they had a difficult time finding me in their system, but after some digging found me. "Vanessa" verified my information and asked me to fax my insurance information over to her attention, which I did immediately. She informed me that my case manager would call to schedule the appointment. Didn't hear anything back. 2) On/about 2/7/21, my doctor called to ask if I had been able to schedule my sleep study with Sleep & Wellness Center. I relayed what had happened to date. My doctor's office called the Sleep & Wellness Center and was informed that they didn't call me back because the insurance info I had faxed over was illegible. Illegible!! What did they expect from a fax? They couldn't have called to let me know that? My doctor's office supplied the insurance info to the Sleep & Wellness Center. RED FLAG #1 3) On 2/8/21, I received notification from my insurance that my sleep study was approved for Sleep & Wellness Center. I called to speak with "Isaac" to make my appointment. Per his info, they were NOT in network and my portion of the procedure would be approximately $270 with my outstanding deductible and 10% co-insurance and that I would need to PAY THAT UPFRONT BEFORE THE TESTING. I informed him I had an authorization from my insurance company, and after a number of texts with various pictures of the language of the authorization, "Isaac" said that we were in network, and that it still would be $270 for my portion of the bill. We than made an appt for me to pick up the at-home unit at the Anaheim site (21 miles away from my home), since that's what I was authorized for by my insurance, for 2/16/21. Couple of RED FLAGS here--first off all, if they were out of network, as "Isaac" believed, my portion would have been much, much higher, as I had not met any of my out-of-network deductible, and I pay considerable more than 10% for my co-insurance when the provider is out of network, so how could the amount due BEFORE ANY EQUIPMENT HAD BEEN PROVIDED OR ANY SERVICES RENDERED be the same for both "out-of-" and "in-" network? Additionally, although a provider does have the right to collect any outstanding deductible AT THE TIME OF SERVICE, my in-network deductible was well below $100 on the day I called (I know, I checked) and how could you determine what the 10% coinsurance was without any billing having been created yet? I did NOT provide any payment information at that time. 4) On 2/16/21 I arrived at 10:30am for an 11:00am equipment pick up appointment at the Anaheim office. At approximately 10:45am, "Isaac" called and said, "you're early and we don't have a machine for you; come back at 2:00pm." I informed I was not going to have my spouse drive me another 42 mile round trip (I can't drive, so my spouse has to take off work to drive me to my appointments), and "Isaac" offered to ship the equipment to my home for arrival in the next couple of days. He informed me that I would need to provide a deposit for the equipment to be shipped, in addition to the $270 he had previously tried to collect. He told me he'd call the next day with the shipping info and to get the deposit payment information. I agreed and went back home. Again RED FLAGS! Wellness KNEW there wasn't a machine available for me to pick up, but they waited until I am ALREADY IN THE OFFICE to tell me that--you have my phone number; you've called it previously! Suddenly, now I have to put a deposit down in addition to my out-pf-pocket-costs for the procedure? Why is this the first time this has come up? Sleep & Wellness KNEW it was an at-home study, but you wait until I go to pick up the equipment to tell me I have to leave a deposit? I completely understand the need to protect yourself and your equipment, but AGAIN, why is this first time I'm told of the deposit? 5) On 2/17/21, I got a call from "Isaac," who had to leave a message. I called him back, but he was on another call, so I spoke with a woman (unfortunately, I did not write down her name, so I don't remember who it was). She informed me that Sleep & Wellness Centers wouldn't have equipment for me until mid-March (so they would NOT be meeting the 2/23/21 promise delivery date). I told her this was completely unacceptable, as it's already been two weeks to this point trying to get this scheduled, and I would start new insurance on 3/1/21, which would mean I'd have to go through the authorization process again. She put me on hold and came back to tell me that "Isaac" would have the unit out to me on/and 2/23/21. 2/25/21- NO CALLS, NO EQUIPMENT, NOTHING FROM SLEEP & WELLNESS CENTERS. I am also filing a formal grievance with my insurance carrier. STAY AWAY!!! read more

Ok so I really did not want to go sleep in a non hotel have to get monitored type center . I was very nervous ! But much to my surprise it wasn't as atrocious as I made it out to be in my head. It was truly my technichian " Julie Ann " who made my stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. ( all the extra blankets I needed and the kindness you don't see often these days ! ) thank you sleep center for hiring a good staff for these medical necessities for us who have to grin and sleep it . I don't ever want to do it again but if I had to I know it's not a nightmare it's defintely something pretty easy to get through for one night only with kind people . JM read more

I had a terrible experience at this location. For starters, the amount I was charged was completely unacceptable. Furthermore, I was told I can't be on my phone past 10:30pm. I couldn't get any sleep the entire evening due to the person in the next room blasting their tv. I wasn't offered any tv services or special accommodations during my stay. I literally couldn't have slept more than 15 minutes the entire night so I'm shocked they are charging $4k for this visit. I will be disputing this with my insurance company. read more

Worst customer service in the history of customer service. They messed up my appointment to pick up my study equipment then told me I had to wait almost a month to re-schedule. During this phone call I was put on hold numerous times with no one coming back to the phone and had to just hang up and keep calling back. Office manager Rosey Equihaus is inept and was of no help. Overall I can't imagine anyone putting their health in the hands of this provider. I will be going to a more reputable sleep center. Probably a good thing since the other reviews also talk about unclean rooms and poor service. read more

Worst service ever! Can't believe such bad service! I ended up because my doctor used their services. Such bad experience, I was told they would mail the equipment with in days. It took weeks for them to follow up and weeks for the equipment to be hand deliver to my doctors office. They were extremely fast charging my insurance for a service that till this day I have no idea if it worked. No instructions were given to me, till this day I'm still waiting for the email that would explain how to use the equipment properly. I had to google how to do it and it's been month I still don't have my results but I do have an invoice for a service that was really never provide. read more

I've had multiple sleep studies before and this was the most impressive! The Escondido facility is as good as it gets - quiet, super clean, well-organized and appointed! Everything from the furniture, flooring, big screen TV (complete with streaming services) to the monitoring center appear to be NEW and super sanitary. Combined with the totally professional performance of the tecnhician, Pablo, this all made for a smooth, efficient process! read more

Incompetent, uncommunicative and uncaring are the best descriptors I have for this center. I had to repeat the sleep study because the technician did not follow the directions that were given, even after I reminded him and had the supervisor verify them by phone when I arrived. The first technician, I found out later, was an intern. He spoke so softly with a strong accent that I could not understand him, even after he repeated himself multiple times. The other technician told me that they did not follow the instructions because all the results were fine, but the report of the first study contradicted her and said that my sleep device was ineffective. The firm agreed to repeat the study at no cost to me, but the results were inconclusive, according to the second report, because the technician did not wake me to tell me to sleep on my back for the required time. All the technicians lacked any hints of kindness or concern; they all seemed to care only about getting the job done and getting me out of the center. I decided not to try a third time with them because it seemed certain that they would botch the test again. read more
