We hired Ashley 3 weeks into our postpartum journey, right when the torture from the sleep deprivation had me ready to confess to a murder I hadn't committed. To say she was a lifesaver is a complete understatement. She swooped in when we were questioning everything and helped us survive. She was great doing some laundry, washing dishes, making breakfast, and tidying -- where she anticipated and did a task before I even had to ask. But in helping us get in some sleep, teaching us how to care for our daughter, and giving us a confidence boost whenever we needed it is where she really came through for us. If I could gift every new mom Ashley I 100% would!!! As a first time mom I was completely overwhelmed at the thought of being alone with a newborn all day while my husband had to work. Even before officially meeting Ashley in person she was able to put my mind at ease and made me feel instantly like I had a support system to help me navigate motherhood. Having a baby is rough and Ashley was there for whatever I needed; naps, a hot meal, shower time, laundry, an emergency epsom salt run, you name it! You can tell that Ashley loves her job and it shows through the care and kindness she shows you. On top of that, she truly is a baby whisperer because everytime my baby would fuss or have any issues Ashley could calm him down. We initially booked her for 6 weeks but when we had the option to extend her to 8 weeks we jumped on the opportunity. She is a wealth of knowledge and was able to help me increase my milk production and give me lots of good baby knowledge I didn't even know I didn't know, haha. Having Ashley around gave my husband and I the opportunity to figure out our new groove with our little dude without feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I had a tough time after my first pregnancy and knew that any additional support the second time around would make a huge impact on my experience and overall bonding with my new babies. It was such a blessing to have Ashley for the first couple of months of our 2nd baby's life! She was always punctual, consistent in her energy and care and full of knowledge. I am a first time mom, and knew I could benefit from the support of a post partum doula. I was nervous about having a new baby and wondering if I will do things right or not, and needed someone to guide me into motherhood. I had two meetings with Ashley over Zoom. Ashley was very kind and let me know that Karina would be working with us. I had a couple of Zoom meetings with Karina and she came to our home before the baby's arrival. Karina was so sweet and caring and I knew she would be a perfect match for our family. We have two dogs and they loved her too! She always made sure I was doing okay, made sure I was well rested, and listened to me without judgement when I felt overwhelmed and came up with solutions to help me destress. She took such wonderful care of our baby. She taught me so much about baby's sleep patterns, different ways to soothe baby, talked about milestones and growth spurts, hunger cues, correct breastfeeding positions, how to bathe baby, massage baby, and shared so much more of her knowledge. I also hired an in home lactation consultant and Karina even came on her day off to support me. Even though I have a lot of family support, having Karina guide me gave me so much confidence and laid a strong foundation for us to raise our daughter. If you are on the fence about post partum doula services, I am here to tell you I am so glad we did it, and I am even more happy that we were able to work with Ashley!! The first few weeks of baby life are hard. No one prepares you for the reality of bringing a baby home, and while I love my baby with every ounce of my being, the 4th trimester is a level of hard I didn't know was possible. I always considered myself someone with an extremely high tolerance level of pain, but this transition period is like nothing else. I won't bore you with too many details, but Ashley is a real life Mary Poppins. As first time parents, we had no idea what we were doing, from trimming nails, to feeding methods, to getting the most out of our SNOO, Ashley has tips and tricks for everything. She is kind, not judgmental, sweet and supportive and not only were her meals and snacks amazing, but as a FTM, she was my support system. Always available for questions, Ashley always made herself available and went above and beyond to help us get situated with our baby who arrived 3 weeks early. I wanted to breastfeed so bad, and Ashley helped me with lactation support, navigating me through the process while identifying ways to improve. We also struggled with which formula to feed baby, and she helped us get baby on track. We were so sad when her contract ended, but we're more confident parents after she left. She left us with a great sleep foundation, a baby that is sleeping 7-10 hour stretches (by 14 weeks) per night and left me feeling like myself again. Because of her I was able to get some rest, restore my heart and mind, and get back into marathon training. She also helped us with meal prep, baby shower thank you cards, and laundry. Her services are amazing and necessary, but Ashley is a special human and will leave you, your family and your home stronger and better prepared to adjust to life with your new baby! read more

Where do I begin? It was 2022 and I was a first time mom living in Colorado with zero family around to help me (physically and emotionally) with navigating what the adventure ahead would hold me and my husband. Being a strong headed 'I can do it all' person I was reluctant to ask for help but one day I really needed it, and poof enters Ashley. Ashley was such a fantastic source of calm through the chaos that is pregnancy and post recovery and was always a txt and call away for me no matter the time. She was there to answer all and any of my questions, provide guidance and solutions and most importantly keep me calm. Hiring Ashley was the single most important thing we did before having  our second baby.  We didn't have a registry, we didn't have a baby shower, and we didn't have a nursery set up. I barely bought diapers before baby came.  But we had lined up Ashley early on and it made everything post partum better than I could have imagined.  Ashley has a very special way of providing guidance and wisdom without being pushy, judgmental, or "right." She is able to respect your role as a parent while also helping navigate the scary, overwhelming and sleep-deprived post partum period every step of the way.  She was able to assist us with feeding and sleep questions (I chose not to breastfeed for personal reasons, which she totally respected and didn't question), made us amazing meals, wrapped all of our Christmas and birthday gifts beautifully (she is so gifted at wrapping!), helped organize all of our bottles, diapers, and baby clothes, helped with laundry and light housekeeping, and most importantly, took care of our sweet baby boy all night for 36 wonderfully blissful nights.   She was always on time and never cancelled once.  I could absolutely rely on her, which provided me some desperately-needed consistency in my life.  I would choose Ashley over and over again as our doula. I couldn't have done the first few months without Ashley's help. She not only helped arm me with important knowledge but was a listening ear and had great suggestions. She was also able to show me how to put down our son within 5-10 mins when it had normally taken us 30+ minutes. She also was so great with him and he took to her very well. She was able to help us beyond just that with baby wearing, sleep schedule, choosing formula, pumping for mom, helped around the house, and most importantly was always available to help answer any questions. While looking for a post partum doula, I was immediately drawn to and impressed by Ashley's remarkably fast response times and professional organization. Hiring her was effortless and streamlined. Originally when looking to hire someone, I thought I would want help for 2 weeks, maybe 4 if I wanted extra time. We decided to just book for a full 6 weeks and I am so glad we did. She bonded quickly with our toddler and was able to get our newborn sleeping in her bassinet reliably almost immediately. Ashely came in every day on time and quickly assessed what needed to be done and had it taken care of right away. There were days when I ran out of things to ask her to help with, so I would just use the time to rest and nap while I knew she was watching over my baby. Ashley quickly brought us up to speed with current best practices aligned with the AAP. I won't hesitate to recommend a post partum doula to everyone, but if Ashley is available she is worth every penny if not more. We were SO lucky to find Ashley to be our post partum doula. As first time parents, my husband and I really wanted to have someone around to help show us what to do and give us some relief... We had no idea just how valuable that relief was going to be. Ashley came in like an angel, giving us the opportunity to shower and sleep while taking incredible care of our daughter. She also helped us with tons of firsts, trimming nails, giving baths, trying on wraps, it helped give us so much more confidence. She was also amazing at responding to texts between visits and even accommodated schedule changes when we needed it. She was wonderful about giving us tips and tricks, but also completely great supporting whatever was most comfortable for us, never making us feel at all dumb for not knowing things or needing help with basics. If you're on the fence about getting a post partum doula, I can tell you we were so glad we did! And if you're on the fence about who to book, book Ashley, I can't imagine anyone better.
