I give Memorial Herman Woodlands 1 star. Very disorganized, poor communication & in general chaotic in nearly every way. My grievances are too many to list here. In short I'm currently a patient & I'm demanding a transfer to another hospital. At first the doctor told me transfers are usually declined. However, I looked into my patient rights & I can't be denied a transfer if I'm thoroughly dissatisfied with the over all quality of medical care which in general is basically pathetic & inefficient. Their 2 1/2 star rating over all doesn't inspire much confidence & leaves a lot to be desired. read more

After 2 failed doctor visit in the same week, my husband dragged me here to get proper treatment. I was lethargic, coughing non stop, and running a fever. Immediately after entering the doors, a woman the front desk greeted us and asked us what brought us in. We both explained my symptoms and she had nicely asked me to put on a mask for precautionary measures. Filled out paperwork and was immediately brought to the back to a room. I had a nurse take my vitals and asked me for all my meds that I have been taking. He tested me for the flu and no less than 5 mins, results came back positive. A doctor saw me in between the 5 min wait and she was extremely helpful and nice. She was astonished how I was not treated properly at a physician's office that she was familiar with. Regardless, they gave me moltrin and started me on tamiflu and I was feeling better instantly. That was all it took with an additional $250 copay. So grateful for proper care, yet so broke. read more

I went to HCA Herman Memorial in Tomball and was amazed at how fast I got out of the emergency room and into a room to see a doctor. There was a 10 to 15 minute wait unlike other hospitals where you wait 5 to 10 hours. I was treated quickly and effectively with kind nurses and doctors. read more

This used to be Emerus and Memorial Hermann either bought Emerus or partnered with them. I went in this morning and the staff could not have been nicer. Both in voice and attitude were they pleasant and caring. They young lady behind the desk was efficient and professional. Her demeanor was very professional. The doctor was amazing. He was caring and took their time explaining and weren't pushy at all. He also didn't act exhausted and he didn't act like he wanted to check me off his list of things to do today. I was his sole concern. They didn't rush me out of there, they let me stay as long as I needed to. They explained everything and went over details of after care with a fine tooth comb. I hope I'm still feeling this benevolent when the bill comes..... read more

I visited this emergency room this afternoon on my way home from work. I believe I was possibly having an anxiety attack, in addition, a severe headache. It wasn't just a normal headache. I felt dizzy, lightheaded and my head almost felt numb. I explain this to the lady behind the desk. A nurse comes up behind her, approaches me and doesn't ask me anything else regarding how I'm feeling, my symptoms, pain level- you know normal things a nurse asks a patient. She had the audacity to tell me that they didn't have any kind of narcotics there to offer me, but simply Tylenol. I responded to her asking her what if I didn't have a simple headache- she doesn't respond and just stares. After that she said, "Ok we will see you". Why are you assuming I'm there for "narcotics"? It was completely unprofessional, offensive and belittling. I started to fill out my paperwork, while in tears because of her nasty comment and attitude. I set my paperwork down after a few minutes and left. One of the most humiliating and uncomfortable times in my life. read more

Physician Alexander Milian couldn't have cared less about my condition, I told him it hurt to breath and it hurt to do most daily activities, and that I thought my ribs were broken. And his Expert opinion was, "if you had a deflated lung or were going to die, we would have known by now" didn't give me an X-ray, just told me to suck it up and stretch and charged me $150 dollars and sent me on my way. Made it clear that that The ER was for people who were in danger of dying. Not people who were "a little sore" I was excited at first because the nurses were nice and there was no wait time at all, but after speaking with a "Medical professional" at this place I now know why the lobby was empty. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon with breathing problems. I ended up being admitted here as it is a microhospital. I'm leaving now after 48 hours. I was very well taken care of by everyone from start to finish. I never yelp, but I definitely recommend this facility. read more

Went to this ER for bronchitis symptoms in Dec, since it is nearby and my Dr's office was already closed. I should've understood the red flag when I walked in, in the middle of flu season, and there was absolutely no one waiting. I did get taken back to a room right away. A nurse took my vitals and a gentleman accompanied her asking symptoms etc. (His badge was turned over, couldn't see what his title was but I don't believe he was a Dr). He said the nurse would do a flu and strep test (standard evidently to take your $$ even though I indicated I only had a minor sore throat). He never listened to my chest, checked ears, throat etc. Not anything, no exam! Just went by the fact that I have asthma and can easily recognize bronchitis. Both tests came back negative, they prescribed antibiotics and sent me on my way. Looking back I should've said, 'that's it, no physical exam?', but I felt like hell I just wanted to get back home and into bed. I had to pay $150 out of pocket before I left based on an ER visit with my insurance coverage. I eventually ended back at my Dr's a couple weeks later because I still wasn't getting better. I got my statement in Jan. My insurance was billed $1,100.00 for basically taking my vitals. The strep/flu tests were $500. What a rip! My final bill amt was $32. I'm glad to be done with this place. I will never set foot in there again for care. Please think twice about coming to this location for an ER visit...there are other places to choose from where you will get better care. read more

Disappointed! Brought my husband here when he needed immediate attention. Spoke to the doctor and he diagnosed him with nothing physical before running any tests. I come from a family of doctors and wouldn't have gone unless it was necessary. After they discharged him we left and found better medical care. I don't recommend this ER. Follow up-I took my husband to another ER and he was admitted into the ICU! He's still there and I'm even more upset about where I took him first. read more

Summary: I did not receive adequate, evidence-based, or compassionate care. Pros: Several nurses and staff members were kind and did a good job. The facilities were clean and the wait to go into the room was short (a Friday evening). Cons: The head nurse and doctor were rude and condescending. Patient history and exam were extremely limited. Multiple medical errors were made, including putting medicine in my IV without my prior knowledge or consent, medication errors, and misdiagnosis, which I was nonetheless billed for. Prices are high. I do NOT recommend. There may be some good doctors here, but I would not risk coming back if I had a choice. read more

I wrote the only other review so now I need to update my experience. When I received my bill in the mail they charged me $5865.03 for the 1 1/2 - 2 hours we were there. The charge was $3474.05 for lab work, $2157.61 for emergency service, $160.66 for medical supplies and $72.71 for pharmacy. I called their corporate office and told the lady if they would have informed me the bill was going to be that high I would possibly not have had some of the lab work done. She said they can't legally tell the patient what the fees are because someone might not be able to afford it or something like that. Then she offered to give me a 30% discount on my bill. My insurance discounted the fee $1,611.11 and paid them $2,083.15. We paid them $350 the day we were there so that left us with a balance of $1183.50. ($1,820.77 minus the 30% discount of $637.27). Bottom line is they got $3566.65 for 2 hours work. This is the problem with our Health Care System. First of all they don't give you a fee for what they do before they do it. They could at least give you a menu of services with their fees on it so then when you get your bill you could look at their fees and know they didn't increase them because you have insurance. Then they over charge those of us who work and over-pay for our insurance so they can give free or discounted services to people who don't work or can't afford their high fees. No other business operates on this model. People will not got into any other business and have services done or buy products without knowing the cost up front. Can you imagine going to your auto mechanic and leaving your car and then you pick up your car and go home and them sending you a bill for $5865.03. NO WAY!!!! Or go to WalMart and just fill up your basket with stuff and then when you got home you got a bill for $5865.03. I did learn that if you are a cash pay patient they charge you nothing or a whole lot less. So just go in and tell them you don't have insurance or are a cash pay patient. The lady said they cannot legally turn you away. That's why they charge people with insurance so much more. Anyway, the people were very nice and that's why I gave them a 5 star review before but their billing system is horrible so that's why I gave them a 2 star now. read more

My wife just went in with our 16 month old girl, was absolutely no help. Our daughter has had a fever for the last 5 days and was on antibiotics for strep. We Called our doctor and he said if she's not eating or drinking to take her here. The doctor,Was asking questions like so what route would you like to take..... aren't you the doctor!! Also the doctor talked down to my wife like she was an idiot and didn't know anything in the medical field when she is a paramedic. Don't waste your time here just go to a real hp. I am writing this review as I am waiting on the " caring" staff at Emerus to finish examining my daughter. We are here because her finger got ingured with the garage door. Our house is less than 5 mins away from the hospital and this is what made it the obvious choice to seek care there as soon as it happened. What an unpleasant surprise it was to find out that the staff in the emergency room didn't have any urgency to help my crying 6 years old AT ALL!! Did I mention she is 6?!?!?! I signed her in and then had to wait and listen to the 2 office ladies -Haleigh and Kristen -personal problems and comments. When I asked if someone was coming, their faces looked so unhappy that I cut them off and then just gave me a lousy yes. Then both continued talking. And when I asked to speak to a manager, Haleigh didn't even made eye contact with me , continued wiping her desk and pens and told me there is no manager today. ?!?!? Finally, after I started ringing the bell, 3 nurses showed up and they were making faces at me and the female one that did not want to provide her name to me, said that she doesn't understand what the problem is since it's not an emergency?!?! My child was in pain with a possible broken finger, big blue bruise, no other patients in the lobby and 5 ppl staring at me telling me they don't think it's a big deal?!?! Did I mention my daughter is 6!! Everyone - Mark, Jay D, the lady that didn't want to I identify herself but later took X ray of my daughters finger?! I don't even know what or who she is! Very professional Emerus! - everyone had something NOT AT ALL compassionate to say to me. We were finally seen by a dr 30 mins after arrival Dr Fite and although she and the male nurse who helped her were nice, my whole experience was bellow acceptable. I can't wait to see how emergency like my bill will be for not being treated as an emergency. What happen to medical professionals being compassionate and just that, professional? I won't leave this to rest. Someone needs to at least apologize to us and reevaluate the staff at hand at least their customer skills! read more
