My dad has been here several times, in the ICU, IRU, and general hospital and each time care is either horrible or it's pretty good. Was here to do my annual mammogram I did check in online so the process was quick once I arrived at the hospital. She took my orders, gave me my medical wristband and took me to the back. I went there last night due to an acute Abdominal pain that does not subsides, mind you its New Year's day so its not busy, i am a healthcare worker myself but this place is horrible, horrible patient care. i've waiting for almost 2 Hrs and all they did was taking my vitals, i sat there suffering from pain, could not take it anymore so we just left the place without being seen by a doctor or a nurse! no blood works was done, not even UA, what a shame, don't bring your loved ones to this place if they are in a life threatening condition. just don't got to this place, its not worth your time and safety! read more

I had to come in here recently for a minor surgery. Every single person that we encountered from the front desk until we left (about 3 hours later) were wonderful. I think we spoke with about 8 or more individuals. All of which introduced themselves and what they would be doing or helping with during the procedure. Go anywhere else. This was an extremely unprofessional experience and a complete waste of time. There was a severe lack of communication, empathy, and basic bedside manner. When people trust you with their health and well-being, being dismissive and careless is unacceptable. We arrived at 3:00 PM and left at 10:00 PM without ever seeing a doctor. We were told multiple times that we were "next," yet no blood was drawn, no tests were run, and we spent hours waiting in a room with no updates before ultimately being dismissed. I want to recognize the staff at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital for the exceptional care my wife and I received during an extremely stressful situation. We arrived around 7:17, and my wife was triaged within five minutes, which I truly appreciated. The wait to be taken back was roughly two hours, and while that was difficult for both of us, what set Memorial Hermann Cypress apart from other hospitals I've experienced was the care, professionalism, and genuine empathy shown by every staff member we encountered during that time. And by everyone, I truly mean everyone, not just the doctors, CNA, LPN, RN, APRN clinical staff and surgical team, but also the front desk team, environmental services technicians, and hospital security. Every single employee we interacted with carried themselves as if they had a personal, vested interest in how my wife and I were doing. No one treated us like a number or a task to be completed. Once we were taken back and evaluated, things moved efficiently. My wife received the necessary testing, and--most importantly--her pain was managed promptly. After the issue was clearly identified, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were informed, comfortable, and genuinely cared for. At no point did we feel dismissed or rushed. A first-time emergency surgery is typically overwhelming, but the team at Memorial Hermann Cypress handled everything with a level of quality, compassion, and professionalism that is increasingly rare to find. Recently, I stayed 4 days at Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital. That is the second time I have needed hospital care in the last year. Both times the folks that cared for me did an excellent job. They were kind, caring, and gave me the attention I needed in a timely manner. And amazingly, the food was quite good. I waited an hour and 25 minutes to be sat in a room and then ten more for the doctor to come in and see me. I am a public servant and don't often have time to schedule appointments during the work week. As such, when I make said appointments I expect the doctor that is down the hall to be with me in less than forty minutes. Which I don't think is unreasonable to ask. I didn't leave to return another day because was I said, I am a public servant and I don't have the liberty to take off as much time as my chronic condition would require. My wife had a couple of procedures done, excellent doctors, and some nurses, we spent an entire week here, but the first crew of nurses, and last were outstanding, in between it was very questionable. We had to come here Northwest Cypress HCA didn't have anyone available, so we had to come here , I was treated for Bladder cancer for almost ten years, my wife used to stay with me a lot, and service was outstanding always, the food you could order was very fair for hospital food, they also have a coffee shop, let me tell you me being on the other side of things, I could not bring myself to have a good meal, and i provided a lot of attention to my wife at Memorial cypress. I did let them know, but I doubt my comments would make a difference, but here it is in case anyone wants to know. Be prepared for bad food for you as a guest and patient. Horrible service and help at this location. The second floor on the south tower needs to have something changed immediately because the nurses are awful with time and helping. It should not take 15-20 minutes to get help after pressing the call button, especially if I'm in serious pain coming straight out of surgery. On top of the fact, I'm having to call 2-3 times every single time I need help just for my nurse to show up 15 mins after I called. You would think they would be faster knowing you're in so much pain, but they just don't seem to care here. I would recommend going to a different location if you would like help in a timely manner. the only people i would like to opt out is adrian he was the only one to help me within a few minutes after calling and actually take good care of me. i had such an unpleasant experience at this location for being in so much pain.had to go through 2 different surgeries and still deal with all this bs on top of all my pain. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE, i came in because i was having contractions, and I know how to tell im in labor (since this was my second pregnancy) or that my child was coming soon. the ladies up front laughed in me and my fiancé's face while he told them how far apart my contractions were said i should be screaming??? I got on them ofc, asked what was funny.. then got to the doctor with the big nose who seemed to have had an indian accent and was incredibly rude, said "i don't know why you're here" gave us a small explanation and just left. when we asked him to come back he sighed and said "what?". he explained that we needed to go home and i could be in pain for the next three more days. I didn't have the energy and was in pain so i left and the second hospital was disgusted with how we were treated, and was shocked that doctor didn't even try to have me walk around. by the time we got to the next hospital 25 min away i had dilated three more centimeters from just the ride (mind you still wasn't screaming AND my contractions were even closer), and the doctors immediately put me in the labor and delivery room and had my daughter a couple hours later! This hospital has no regard for the elderly. The hospital doctor walks around with his NP with no regard to life. My mom came here with sepsis and a stage 4 wound. The hospital doctor just wanted to discharge her and said she would never get better. If the hospital had treated my mom the correct way she would have had a chance. They sent us to a rehab center and that was the end of my mom. This doctor and his NP did not care. I would never go back to this hospital. I am not giving all the details it was way worse than this. BEWARE- I am a twice stroke survivor. Despite informing the front desk my doctor instructed me to immediately go to the hospital for a possible stroke, I was not given a wheelchair. I was instructed to walk to lobby and triage room without assistance. The triage nurse Veronica was disturbingly indifferent, curt and exhibited no quality of healthcare. Nurse Agnieszka was EXTREMELY professional, warm and respectful! She expressed genuine interest in my poor test results. Crystal with radiology was so kind. Randy with radiology was super sweet. Dr. Minh Man Le was customarily thoughtless. After multiple tests his only response was, "everything looks good!" No it didn't, that's why I was in the emergency room. My reply, "Is it good in general, or good for me?" His response, "You're in the middle! What does that mean? If it wasn't for the sincere concern from Agnieszka, I wouldn't have known anything about my tests results. Once again basic healthcare is a luxury for the "select" few. Being a woman, over 50 and Black, automatically deems us "not worth the effort." I was told to walk, while I witnessed a white man being rolled in a wheelchair. I fully recognize Memorial Hermann has slim to no interest in providing quality healthcare to "minorities.", especially those of us with disabilities. The last time I visited MH, 2020, they wouldn't allow me to use my walker, then told me, "you can leave the way you came in." I was forced to crawl out the hospital. The employees watched me, no one offered to help me. Even with top-tier health insurance this is how patients are treated. Nothing. I would never abuse myself by entrusting my health to maltreatment and neglect. My care was wonderful and I was able to recover quickly. We have both been in the Emergency Room several times, and were treated as quickly as possible with great outcomes every time. My husband recently had outpatient surgery and was able to recover quickly and go home. This is our hospital, and we will return if we ever have a need! read more

Worst hospital and ER by far. They misread all of dad's scans and told us we could just go home when they didn't know what was wrong. Ended up being brain and lung cancer that they somehow missed. A Disappointing and Potentially Harmful Experience at Memorial Hermann Cypress We are extremely disappointed with the level of care provided by Dr. Abdulla and Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital. We strongly advise against seeking treatment at this facility and believe that Dr. Abdulla should be held accountable for his negligence and unprofessional behavior. Memorial Hermann Cypress should be ashamed of allowing such a doctor to practice and potentially harm patients. Last week, my mother was admitted to Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital for a suspected UTI. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and concerning. The lack of care or concern was evident from the onset and the hospital's communication was severely lacking. We were promised a visit from an Infectious Disease specialist the morning after admission, but this never occurred. We had to resort to begging the nurse to using the hospital's online system to ping a doctor in order to talk with them to get more insight and information on my mother's condition. The nurse messaged both the Infectious Disease doctor as well as an internal medicine doctor (Dr. Abdulla). Dr. Abdulla finally arrived close to 3pm, his demeanor was dismissive and condescending from the beginning. Dr. Abdulla exhibited a lack of professionalism, rudeness, and dismissiveness. He seemed to resent any questions, treating them as challenges to his expertise rather than legitimate inquiries. I was simply trying to understand my mother's condition and ensure that her existing medications were compatible with the prescribed antibiotics as well as to make sure the infection was not spreading to her kidneys or liver. When asked about her Kidney function he said they were fine and asked if she had a CT scan done. When we informed him that she had not had one and requested a CT scan, he refused, stating that he wouldn't recommend it even if she were his own mother due to exposing her to radiation. His dismissive attitude towards our concerns was alarming. When I expressed my deep concern about my mother's health and "not wanting to lose her", Dr. Abdulla dismissively rolled his eyes and assured me that "[I] will not lose my mother to this." The information provided by Dr. Abdulla was later contradicted by the actual Infectious Disease specialist who informed us that my mother did indeed have a kidney infection. This discrepancy highlights the potential risks of relying on inaccurate and incomplete medical advice. The following day, when Dr. Abdulla was questioned about the contradiction. He first ignored my question about her kidney infection and when I asked again, he was annoyed and it had to get into an altercation between him and my husband for him to finally answer my questions. He let me know my mother was fine, that I was overreacting, and when he asked me why I was so worried, he showed a lack of empathy. Like he mentioned, my mother was discharged the next day. However, after her discharge, my mother's symptoms, including a persistent fever, worsened. She even developed a swollen cheek, prompting us to seek immediate medical attention at Methodist Hospital ER. At Methodist Hospital, it was revealed that my mother's kidney was significantly compromised. And not even a week later my mom was rushed into surgery due to having fluid in her kidney. This could have been prevented had Dr. Abdulla listened to our concerns and ordered the necessary tests. His dismissive attitude and failure to address our worries led to a serious deterioration in my mother's health. We will NEVER go to this hospital again and we will advise all family and friends to not go there either. If you are thinking of going to Memorial Hermann Cypress, I highly suggest you go elsewhere. I would give zero stars if I could! My son and I were hassled about shots as if we were refusing them, we never did! The nurse pictured here did not want to listen to my explanation about my son's vaccines and seemed impatient and didn't seem to care and treated us like a nuisance. Because of Covid and the fact we moved to another state during covid I told her he had not had any shots for a few years and I wasn't sure if he was scheduled for more because we couldn't see a doctor during covid and moving back home it's been hard to find a pcp who is accepting new patients anyway point is she did not listen and was flustered. We were seen very quickly and then treated as if my son's deep cutt wasn't something we should even be there for. I chose this hospital because I was born at memorial Herman hospital and I drove past another hospital before I got there in order to go there! My son was given one stitch that wasn't even tightened! Less than two hours later we went to another hospital because we were not allowed to receive care at this one. We will never be back! The other hospital gave him 4 stitches and one internal. We have been here 5 days, and after 5 different doctors, they can not seem figured out the cause. Then, they can not do any procedures due to contaminated water. The nurse was rude. Then the PA walks in. She flat out said "this is an ER. You're sick with covid. You're fine. Why are you here" I said to get help. I know I'm dehydrated.. she said drink something.... so I said f this noise. I'm gonna leave and go somewhere else. She said I'll take your IV out then you can leave. So I get my Iv out. And I attempt to walk out normal without passing out. Had to wait outside in parking lot for 20 minutes for my husband to get me. I just wanted help. Some fluids and nausea meds. I'm very sick, and they didn't help me. I am very disappointed. Called and I'm starting a grievance against the PA. read more

My dad had severe abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. We visited an urgent care first where they gave him two medications to hopefully treat his symptoms. Within 5 minutes, he had a seizure, the urgent care called 911, and the ambulance brought us to Memorial Hermann (MH) Cypress. Dr. Hyun Lee was the ER doctor at the time. We described to him my dad's symptoms that lead us to the urgent care, details about the seizure, and the medication names that we assumed caused the seizure, given the proximity to it. Once my dad came to, he was still having dry heaving, pain, and nausea. We requested a different nausea medication, since the Zofran he was taking at home obviously wasn't working. Dr. Lee seemed confused and asked why we were requesting nausea medication, which signaled to us that he was not listening when we had our whole conversation with him nor took notes. We waited about 45 minutes while my dad is in terrible pain to find out from our nurse, Andrew, that Dr. Lee ordered to give my dad another shot of one of the medications that could have caused the seizure, which again showed that Dr. Lee was not listening to our past conversation. Once Andrew and I saw Dr. Lee to express our concern, Dr. Lee was texting while we were talking to him but did order the Reglan & Morphine, which subsided his symptoms.The CT scan of my dad's abdomen showed that his colon was a bit inflamed. We asked Dr. Lee if this was diverticulitis, since my dad has been diagnosed with that twice prior, and he immediately said no and dismissed our concern. Despite my dad's inability to drink or eat anything without vomiting, Dr. Lee prescribed some Zofran and pill antibiotics that can only be taken with food, which was obviously going to be impossible to do, and provided clearance for us to leave. We told Dr. Lee our concern that once the Morphine & Reglan wears off that we would be back to how we started the day--excruciating pain, vomiting, and nauseous, since no medication to address the issue had been given. Dr. Lee brushed off our concern and said my dad would be fine once he starts the pill antibiotics. We went home and we were exactly right. Seeing as our visit to MH's ER was useless, we brought him to Houston Methodist at Willowbrook's ER, where he received proper care, and now he has gotten tremendously better. Upon arriving at Methodist, they immediately gave him fluids, due to concerns of dehydration, and most importantly medications to be administered via an IV, since my dad was still dry heaving. To note, fluids were never provided to my dad at MH. Methodist's CT scan of the abdomen found that he did in fact have diverticulitis, as we thought, and his appendix was inflamed. MH's CT didn't have these findings. Prior to leaving MH, we asked Dr. Lee about my dad's ability to drive following the seizure; we were advised by him that my dad can resume driving the next day. Dr. Lee did consult a neurologist to review the CT scan of my dad's head, but we never got to speak with the neurologist ourselves. Methodist's neurologist actually visited us in the ER, asked many questions, examined my dad, and ordered both a MRI and EEG. Outside of the CT scan, none of that occurred at MH. Methodist's neurologist also told us that it is against state law to drive for 3 months following a seizure, which, of course, is not what Dr. Lee said. Methodist's gastroenterologist also visited us in the ER (unlike MH). He advised against taking any medication orally or eating for a few days to not further aggravate his digestive system, which is a far more logical approach than what Dr. Lee had advised. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience visiting MH. We will absolutely never go back to this hospital ever again nor will anyone we care about. The doctor and nurses were very rushed, completely dismissive, inattentive, and did not truly help us. Whereas, every single person we encountered at Methodist was extremely kind and attentive. read more

My Sister was admitted here with difficulty breathing. She was in the hospital for 6 days it was a roller coaster to say the least. We went from lung cancer that had spread, to we don't know if it's cancer at all, we'll do a biopsy to we thought you already had one, to we're going to send you home with pneumonia in one lung, discharged with no breathing treatments NOR a biopsy. Also needed an angiogram, However biopsy had to be first!!! It was horrible!!! I have NEVER experienced anything like it in my life! I will say the nurses were sweet! You will not silence my voice! I posted this on Google reviews yesterday, and they deleted it. I am posting this to warn any women that are miscarrying about going to the Cypress ER. I first was taken to the ER Friday night by my husband with some sharp cramps & spotting some bloody mucus. I was told to go to the ER per my OB "if I got sharp cramps, bled or spiked a fever". They confirmed via ultrasound that I was miscarrying. They saw two yolk sacs, and it's very possible that it could've been identical twins. They inserted Cytotec, & sent me home with a Rx for when the Cytotech kicked in. Most all pain meds make me really sick, so they gave me something for nausea with it. They told me the Cytotech would kick in mid morning to afternoon, but me knowing my body and how sensitive I am to literally everything, I felt it probably would kick in sooner. My husband had a new class starting at his college on Saturday morning, & I had a bad feeling. I woke up about 4/5 hours later at 10:30 AM with horrible cramping where I kept going to the bathroom over and over again & felt like I needed to push, & the pain was so bad I felt like I was going to vomit. I called my husband & couldn't get him, so I called an ambulance to come get me. I managed to get down the stairs & unlock the front door, & went and collapsed on the downstairs toilet, waiting for them to get here. When they wheeled me out on stretcher to the ambulance, I was screaming, & there were people outside. We had to explain what had happened to later on. They gave me some IV pain meds in the ambulance, which took my pain from a 10 to a six or seven, where I wasn't screaming anymore. I got to the ER, & they made me do an ultrasound while I was still hurting, & blood was going everywhere & dripping in the floor in the ultrasound room. The female Asian ultrasound tech was so nice to me & says "honey don't worry about it" when I was upset about the blood going everywhere & she apologized over & over for it hurting during the ultrasound. I passed some stuff in ultrasound toilet. When I finally got back to my room, there was a male nurse named Kyle, chatting it up with my husband, who was in the room. *Kyle knew the information I had given him the previous night about my situation.* I was still hurting & cramping and getting stabbing pain in my low back. I asked for pain medicine, and I told him don't give me really strong crap like Dilaudid, because I am super sensitive. They gave me morphine, which at first made me feel like I couldn't breathe, but then I was ok. I had morphine with my back surgery in 2020, so I knew I wasn't going to die from it. I asked for some Toradol, which is an NSAID - and I'm aware of this because I also had it during my back surgery - because I was still hurting some. The worst part about this experience is when the male nurse name Kyle said to me when I told him "I wish I would've just had the D&C, because I didn't realize how bad this was going to hurt. I didn't want to have scar tissue and risk not being able to get pregnant again." He looked at me and said "Well, you don't need to get pregnant again anyway, because you're high risk you just need to adopt at this point." If I hadn't been miscarrying, I probably would've said a lot more than I did. I told him "adoption was expensive" and he shot back, "so is IVF" he had no idea what I have been through in my life and how much of a miracle this pregnancy was to me. I told him how my mom had me at 38 and my sister at 42 when he talked about age and Rhogam shots. My sister and I took my MOM'S blood type which was A-! This was a naturally conceived pregnancy, and for him to tell me to go adopt and make the comments he made were totally unprofessional and crossed boundaries. I just went through one of the most traumatic things I've ever been through in my life, and I thought people supposed to be supportive. I am well aware of "egg quality" at my age, and I am well aware what class of drug Toradol is in. I was a pharm tech for many years. When I reported what Kyle had said to the PA and another blonde headed nurse, they alluded that I was asking for Toradol as a drug seeker! wth? I cramped more and passed more tissue after I got home when they said it had all passed. Please stop judging people & be kind! I am a grieving mother for God's sakes. I filed a complaint with the hospital. My voice will not be silenced. This behavior was not ok. I cannot wait to move out of Houston. read more

This staff at this ER are AMAZING!!! The guy at the front desk was super nice. I was feeling a little dehydrated and he offered to ask the staff if I could have something to drink but I needed to wait. Veronica was the first nurse that I saw and she was caring and nice. Linda was the young lady who drew my blood. She was so gently. Monica was my main nurse, and she answered all my questions with so much enthusiasm and made sure I understood what everything. dr Colvin and dr Crumb saw me, what I liked most was that dr Colvin let me know that he was leaving for the day and leaving my care to another dr.
