It's Mother's Day, a deeply meaningful day for my family. My mother-in-law, and my father-in-law are all buried here people we loved dearly and honored with proper services over a decade ago. Between the plots and services, we spent somewhere between $20,000 plus to make sure they were laid to rest with dignity. But today, what I saw was disheartening. The grounds are in terrible condition. Weeds are growing everywhere, the grass is bone dry and full of stickers, and it's clear that basic maintenance like watering hasn't been done in a long time. Dead flowers were scattered across the cemetery, and trash cans were overflowing. There's no sense of care or pride taken in keeping this place up especially on a day like Mother's Day, when so many people come to remember and honor their loved ones. I left feeling more upset than comforted. Coming here is supposed to be a peaceful, respectful experience, not a frustrating one. I truly hope management sees this and understands how much this matters to the families who trusted you with their loved ones' final resting place.

terrible upkeep of the grounds. it's so embarrassing I can't take my friends to visit my mom and dad's grave. I do have photos.. I asked the rep what was going on she gave me this lousy excuse and said both mowers were broken.. I visit there every month. it's been now 4-41/2 months and it's worse they have a fallen tree covering graves and big dried pieces of trees lying Arian the grass is always brown. I clip around the graves so I can see it. I wish I could give a zero. I will be turning them in. Disrespectful and degrading.

I would post -10 if it took it. Again it has gotten worse!! The whole employee group should go!, especially the Manager!, She does not do her job. Again it it heartbreaking to see gravesites covered in dirt and weeds!! And they don't water!! Always an excuse when you complain

This was my first time visiting this cemetery. I came to try to find the graves of my family on my fathers side whom I knew were buried here. When I entered the main cemetery office and explained that I needed help finding the location of my family members graves. The gentleman told me to have a sit. And to get comfortable. I shortly after that, learned that they do not have any sort of record systems on a computer. Only paper files in bins. Piled on top of eachother. He appeared to be not pleased at my request. After finding in the files and determining their location, my grandma and grandpa. I asked to locate my uncle. Whose name was Bill Johnson. The man set down his paper quickly on the desk and took a deep breath looking exasperated and told me that my uncles name was just too common of a name for him to find. He said "Bill Johnson is like the name John Smith, too many people have it." I was disappointed but I allowed him to draw me a handwritten scratched out map on a piece of notebook paper on how to find my grandparents. After driving into the area and getting out of the car. I was shocked. And so deeply saddened. The grass was all dead. Pipes were busting up through the ground actually breaking many of the headstones in half or into pieces. Many of the headstones were completely covered in dried mud. Many completely covered in tree branches and debris. My oldest daughter who is 8 years old starting attempting to clean off a grave saying "mama this is sad, it's not ok." I agreed with her but explained that if we were going to clean up the headstones, we would be there for days. As it was such a catastrophic environment. We found my grandparents. Not easily as the graves are not even lined up in rows. But we immensely left quickly after. It broke my heart to see the condition of this cemetery and the lack of maintenance and obvious lack of heart they must have.

Before we watered And added dirt..

The ONLY reason I'm giving two stars is because the woman who first helped us was amazing. Lucille. HOWEVER the "regional manager" Susan Fabanich-Tunget should be ashamed of how her establishment treats grieving families. 1. They DO NOT water the grass, they wait for the rain.. so the sign saying irrigated by well water is a lie. Susan told me that herself. 2. They throw away items off SOME graves. They throw away everything from my brothers but I see MANY graves with same things on them. 3. They told me the headstone would be there 8-12 weeks now they don't now when.. 4. They "didn't know" that the picture had to be in the same time as ordering the headstone.. that's literally their job. 5. They said I owed $270 on his headstone when I had receipts saying it was paid off. Which out of ordering the headstone an additional week because the man who helped me didn't want to get in their systems and check. I had to wait until someone came in the office who had halfway of a brain. 6. They were supposed to put new sod because the sod didn't stick because it wasn't watered.. didn't happen. His children shouldn't have to see this.. we paid ALOT of money to have him buried and to see this is wrong.

Instead, we were met with shocking negligence. The embalming was done incorrectly, and at his funeral there were flies on his body and a foul odor so strong that even masks couldn't block it. Guests were visibly uncomfortable and left questioning the care he received. Afterward, the funeral home admitted the embalmer hadn't done the job correctly and that my brother still needed more time to be prepared -- yet they never told us beforehand. This robbed us of leaving our last memory with him in peace, turning it into something even more painful and traumatic. This was more than a mistake; it was a profound failure to treat a human being with the basic dignity he deserved. Their negligence has left us still living a nightmare, deepening our grief and leaving a wound that will never fully heal.

That representation mattered to us. We chose this space for a reason. It has been a huge part of our grieving process and allows us to "do" things for our son. Recently, Oakmont removed and threw away all of our items from our son's memorial space, including items that were not prohibited. These were not random decorations -- they were personal, sentimental memorial items placed with love and care over time. What makes this even worse is that Carriage Services customer service initially seemed understanding and told me they would get back to me by last week. They did not. So at this point, in addition to the distress of having meaningful items discarded, we are also being met with silence from carriage services (Oakmont apparently follows their direction?!?). Oakmont has been kind to me post throwing away my sons items but has no answers and will no longer honor the space to be used as sold. If Oakmont intended to treat these boulder spaces the same as standard grave spaces, that should have been made clear at the time of sale. It was not. These spaces were sold with the understanding that families had greater freedom to create a personal memorial. Throwing away memorial items without clear notice, while failing to follow up afterward, is deeply upsetting and unacceptable. Not so much as a phone call prior to trashing his items despite no rules against boulders having items ever employed. Families deserve honesty about what they are buying, clear rules, and basic respect. A place that was once a place of healing and peace is now a place of trauma. Apparently after calling carriage services, they are putting items on shelves - so if you have a space you may have the opportunity to retrieve your items - an opportunity we weren't given.

Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and added unnecessary stress during one of the most difficult times in our lives. We were informed at the last minute that the funeral home would not be creating the memorial video as promised, leaving our family to produce it ourselves under tremendous emotional pressure. We were then told just one day before the services that the funeral programs also would not be completed, forcing our family to scramble to prepare and print them at our own expense. Most distressing of all were the concerns regarding the condition of our loved one during the viewing and funeral services. What appeared to be excessive embalming fluid leakage was upsetting to family members and took away from what should have been a dignified opportunity to say goodbye. The combination of unfulfilled services, poor communication, last-minute surprises, and the condition of our loved one made an already painful experience even more difficult. We have requested an explanation, the embalmer's information, and reimbursement for services that were not provided as agreed. Families place an enormous amount of trust in a funeral home during their most vulnerable moments. Sadly, our experience did not reflect the level of professionalism, compassion, or preparation we expected.

My dad lost his battle with cancer, and saying goodbye to him was the hardest experience I have ever faced. Priscilla handled all of the cemetery arrangements, while George managed the funeral, church, and burial services with incredible compassion and professionalism. During a time filled with grief, stress, and uncertainty, George and Priscilla were a source of comfort and guidance. They made a very difficult process feel seamless and treated our family with kindness, dignity, and genuine care every step of the way. They far exceeded our expectations, and I truly don't know what we would have done without them. Queen of Heaven is a beautiful and peaceful cemetery nestled in the foothills of Lafayette. The grounds are serene and impeccably maintained, and the chapel is one of the most beautiful cemetery churches I have ever seen. Knowing my dad rests in such a special place brings our family comfort. I was also told they offer a monthly Saturday memorial service to honor and remember loved ones who have recently passed. As Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on my dad's life and the impact cancer has on so many families. This month, I completed a cycling fundraiser to help raise awareness and support the fight against cancer in memory of my dad and for all those who have passed away or continue to battle this disease. It reminded me how precious life truly is. What I've learned through this journey is simple: if there are things you've always wanted to do, places you've wanted to see, or people you've wanted to spend time with, do it now. Don't wait. Life is precious, and it passes by far too quickly. Thank you, George, Priscilla, and the entire team at Queen of Heaven. This review may be long overdue, but our gratitude remains just as strong today as it was a year ago.
