We made an appt, but were actually able to come down anytime. We sat down and spoke to Bari, who was above and beyond compassionate and professional. She explained everything so gently, and it was almost as if there was nothing I had to worry about or do outside of grieving my dear husband. I knew she was the perfect fit to care for my husbands passing. She handled everything, and I mean everything. Her communication was top notch and extremely easy to get ahold of in case I had any questions or needing to talk about something. We set up a viewing before cremation, and she was at my and my families side as support throughout the entire experience. My husband looked wonderful. Although it was heartbreaking, Bari made it less horrible. We all hugged her, she made us feel comforted and safe in what we were going through. Bari has turned out to be such an invaluable and amazing partner in this tragic journey of mine. I've had to stop at the business several times to drop off cremation necklaces, my husband's urn, and pick things up. Each time I hugged and thanked her. She even got full handprints of my husband for me, not just the complimentary fingerprints. She genuinely has put so much love, care and concern into my husband, myself and our kids. Didn't feel like I was really greeted by any staff members. But I did see them walking around and running the ceremony. Viewing hall was nice and was able to hold over 100 people. They had TV screens all around and even outside the door too. Provided many tissues, a guest book to write in, informative pamphlet of my friend, and even provided food after which I didn't expect. Thought the charging station was helpful. There was microphone issue but it was fixed right away. A few of my friends were the pallbearers but it seemed like communication was a little confusing. Overall, I think they catered to my friend's family very well and was pretty organized.

He quickly took my money and established a life policy with National Guardian Life Insurance Company. I kept asking for information from Bay Area Cremation as to who to contact when death occurs, etc. but never received anything. Once he referred me to National Guardian Life who has nothing to do with it except to pay the proceeds of the policy to Bay Area Cremation for their Services. He then told me that someone would call me within 24 hours and nobody did. Luckily, I cancelled the policy within my 30 day cancellation period. I haven't received my refund yet, I sent a letter to Bay Area Cremation at their Brentwood address and it was returned as Undeliverable. I believe that Mike Rock is nothing more than an insurance agent. BEWARE!

Afterward, the funeral home admitted the embalmer hadn't done the job correctly and that my brother still needed more time to be prepared -- yet they never told us beforehand. Unable to see the indoor area again due to Covid. No bathroom available at this time. No outdoor seating available. They did a beautiful job presenting our family members, photos & flowers. Video Slide show was well put together. It was held outdoors under the overhang area with 2 hour total time. Was advised 15 or so people allowed for 30 minute time periods. Easy for friends & Family to stop by, pay their respects and leave since it was held in the center area of the funeral home. It was nice that the Immediate family members were allowed to gather longer since it was safe and distanced.
