What was once a historic stadium built in the 1930s is now a large open community park that is home to many events from festivals and fairs to recreational and casual gatherings. This grassy field is also perfect for a family outing. Children can be seen running around and playing ball. Some people visited to walk their furry family members around the park and nearby areas. Some, like myself, enjoyed the fresh air and the serenity that comes with being outside and surrounded by nature and its beauty.

However, ther are a total of seven parks in Hunter's Creek to visit, and they're great places to go when Osprey is overflowing (which is quite frequent) Braddock Oak Park is certainly one of the smallest parks in the vicinity, but if you need a quick place for the kids to play and get their energy out, Braddock Oak is a pretty good place The Good: Small Kid Friendly Playground: Of all the parks, Braddock Oak has the most Pre-K friendly set-up. The play area is very short, and there are no complicated jungle gyms. Just your basic slide and latter with a treehouse-style setup in the middle. Good Stuff! Close by!: I think I've driven past the Braddock Oak park several times, without even knowing it was there! It is right off of Town Center in Hunter's Creek, and it is actually the most convenient park in Hunter's Creek Elementary area. The Bad: Not much to do: While this place is great for little kids, there's not much to do for older kids or parents to do. Other than the playground, there;'s not much there. Braddock oak is great for parents with little kids who need to get their daily activity by running around and jumping on a little-kid friendly playground. It was created through a unique partnership among Brevard County Natural Resources Watershed Management, Eastern Florida State College, the City of Titusville, the St. Johns River Water Management District, and Parrish Medical Center. Within the park is a series of interconnected lakes designed as a stormwater treatment system that cleans runoff from both Titusville and unincorporated Brevard County before it enters the Indian River Lagoon. Wetland vegetation naturally filters pollutants from the water, improving its quality before it returns to the environment. Without this treatment, stormwater runoff can contribute to algal blooms, muck accumulation, fish kills, and other ecological problems that threaten the lagoon's health. Beyond its environmental benefits, the restored wetlands provide valuable habitat for wildlife, particularly Florida's wading birds, while offering visitors opportunities for nature observation and outdoor recreation. The park contains a variety of habitats, including artificial lakes, freshwater wetlands, salt marshes, mangrove communities, and hardwood and sabal palm hammocks. Visitors can explore approximately three miles of paved trails, including a scenic 2.6-mile loop for walking, running, and cycling. Additional amenities include a five-story wildlife observation tower offering a stunning view of the wetlands, athletic fields, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, and access to the surrounding trail network. So they have a few soccer fields here as well as a few baseball fields scattered across the grounds with that really being it as well as some outhouses not much to it here. There's a good amount of parking here so there should be just enough space for anyone. Overall this was a chill time at a spot you can tell most would overlook with that said who knows when I'll make it back here again but if you live in the area and you want a chill spot to play some games then this is totally for you!

I returned to Avalon Town Park for the 10th Annual Lupus Walk Orlando. The neighborhood is…read morebeautiful. The neighborhood also features shops and restaurants. The park is well maintained. Parking can be found curbside or across the street from the park. After the walk, I treated myself with a Churro filled with Dulce de Leche. It was fresh, crunchy, and ooey gooey from the cinnamon to the warm filling.

The field can get a bit sloshy during the rain or spilled beer, but that's what fields do! It's not a multibillion dollar football stadium, so wear appropriate footwear (i.e. Stilettos) Parking is a challenge for any event here, especially if they line up food trucks around the park. You may get lucky and find a spot on a side street, but the Publix isn't too far away and that's where most people end up. It sucks if you happen to want to shop at Publix during the NKOT Blockstreet Boys in O-Town festival, but it's an event that hasn't happened even with my weekly requests to the Avalon Council. When there's not an event, it's just a big open area to chill and have fun!
