This restaurant has carry out and delivery via services like Bite Squad, Grub Hub and DoorDash during COVID-19. In addition there are two outdoor tables and a small dining room with about 4-5 tables similar to a Subway setup. Not sure if indoor dining is allowed at this time but there were no guests dining in while we did our carry out order. They also require masks be worn for entry inside and have stickers on the floor to help with 6 feet social distance spacing. The food is made to order so we expected a wait especially with 5 people. And the wait was probably about 15-20 minutes. The menu had a lot of intriguing options. There was none more tempting than the Byron Donut burger. A burger served on a donut instead of a bun. It's only offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays so I was very happy that we were there on a Saturday. But they were out of donuts so no donut burger for me. And also out of sweet potato fries. Bummer! So I decided to go with the Smoked Cheeseburger (Gouda, caramelized onions, candied bacon, & chipotle aioli - $9) and for $3 more made it a combo with seasoned fries and a drink. Others got the jalapeño burger (sautéed jalapeños, French fried onions & chipotle aioli) and Bluff City burger (provolone, slaw, candied bacon & bbq sauce). They were all great, well seasoned. Everyone loved them. A lot of talk about how they ranked in our top burger lists. An unexpected favorite were the corn nuggets from the appetizer menu for $4. They are breaded cream corn deep fried and served with the chipotle aioli which had a little kick. It's a terrific local burger spot. I ordered delivery on DoorDash early last week. I was swayed by the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Tbh, Memphis Mojo Cafe didn't disappoint. I opted for the smoked cheeseburger with a fried egg and side of sweet potatoes. I thought the potatoes would be more like chips but they weren't cooked crispy. Warning if if you read other reviews and expect the same. The burger was huge and delicious. The sweet potatoes were also good also I do like mine cooked a bit longer. To second almost every other review- this is THE best burger place in Memphis! Hands down! If not in Tennessee. I'll be on a mission to find that out, but probably won't be more impressed than I am here, every time. That's part of the great quality here- they are so consistent. We never have bad service or bad food, it's always fresh, juicy, crispy.. whatever you're going for, it satisfies. My favorites so far are the bacon pimento burger and their amazing tots, but I'll be back to try more. I've been going here once every couple of weeks for the last eight years. In the beginning everything was clean, great service, great food. Even through Covid they kept it going through the drive through and the quality of the food was still great. However over the last year I've noticed a real decline in the restaurant itself. Lot's of time the AC is off and they're using fans with the door wide open which lends itself to flies. The wait staff is constantly turning over and as of today i've sadly made my last visit due to the uncleanliness. I'd love to see them invest a little money into the building and continue makeing the great food we all love. read more

Walk in and order. Today the AC was out of order, but they were oh so gracious about it I ordered fish tacos with some sweet potato fries. The spousal unit ordered a mushroom cheeseburger. We always try somewhere new to eat whenever we go somewhere new. Why eat chains when you can eat chains at home? Was looking forward to getting either the burger with pimento cheese or the burger with blue cheese guys what they didn't have? Yep! They were out of pimento AND blue cheese. I told my friend that I was really wanting a good sandwich or burger tonight and this is where she suggested! We ordered our food online and it was pretty easy to understand and complete the order. We were told that our food would be ready for pickup in 20 minutes. Once we arrived, we noticed what looked like a drive through window on the side of the building. They do not have a talk box to order, but we were able to pick up our food from the drive through window. They were very kind and handed our food to us and prepared our drinks upon arrival. I ordered a fried catfish sammie and it was SOOOO good! It was flavorful and the fries were good as well. The fried catfish sandwich had slaw and some type of cilantro sauce on it. The fries were seasoned, but I'm not sure with what. It was a slight hint of spice. I'm definitely coming back soon because I have so many other burgers I want to try! I say that because my burger on my second visit wasn't cooked the way I wanted it. It was too pink inside, I ate as much as I could. Mojo's is small with indoor and outdoor dining space. The are several options on the menu with several burgers to choose from. The food is overall good. Great place for a quick and tasty burger. I got the smoked cheese burger and it was great! A great combination of salty, sweet, and meaty. I personally would add jalapeños in the burger to cut the sweetness from the candied bacon inside. It really takes the burger from a 3 to a 4. I haven't been north of Walnut Grove & 240 since SR 385 linked up to I40! Before that, it was strictly interstate, and only because I had no choice! A exceptional lady steps up and finishes my order while instructing "new girl". She asked all the right questions and probably saved my meal with her attention. She even stated all burgers are cooked med-well automatically and I asked her to back it down some. Glad she asked! I ordered the Smoked Cheese Burger and Fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The candied bacon was a nice touch but was somewhat lost when all put together. It could have used a quick recharge on the grill before being added. If it were a little crunchy it would have been more noticeable. Onions were soft like I like them. I dig the cheese. Great burger overall!!! Fries were not my thing. The seasoning was to spicy. I don't mean in a hot way either, it was like nutmeg, or cinnamon, or something that was jolting at first but got better as I ate. I'll do another side on subsequent visits. I visited this restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic. I had Been craving burgers for some time so i searched burgers on Yelp and this restaurant was first on the list. They were already saved to my list of places to try. I called in a placed an order and the young lady was very polite. They told me the wait time would be about 25 mins which is reasonable for a Saturday. When i arrived, my food was ready, i paid and was in and out in 2 mins. I was starving so i ate the burger in the car!! Check my video out! I got the Super Burger. It's a double pattie burger with Gouda and cheddar cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, pickles and some kind of sauce. It was sooooo good and i forced myself to finish it. It was pretty massive!
