BEDBUGS! BEDBUGS! BEDBUGS! Been holdin off on writin this here review for a bit since I wanted to make sure the job was done and done rite!! All I can say is WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! THESE GUYS ARE BETTER THAN A BANJO PICKIN CONTEST AT A UNCLE COUSIN SISTER BROTHER HO DOWN!!! Ok, heres ma story and Im stickin to it! Me Sadie and Sally (Sadie is ma pet sheep and Sally is my pet piggy) well, we was all getting bit up by some bugs in the bed. I called out the one of the BIG BUG guys, you know, they wear funny hats and call themselves Okra or something like that. Well, they said that I had BEDBUGS! Soo, me, the guy from Okra and Sadie and Sally sat down on the sofa and were figurin what to do bout em. The guy tells me that we have to heat up the room to kill them things and that I would have to throw out my favorite earwax collection cause it would be ruined in the process..that an other prized possessions o mine. LO AND BEHOLD ONE O DEM BUGS BIT THE OKRA MANS BUTTOCKS!! Never heard Sadie and Sally laugh so darn hard in their lives! Well, that made things complicated since we had them in the couch too! First he says he would charge us about $450 for the one bedroom, but as soon as he go himself bit, he changed the price to OVER $2000 for our little house! We talkin a 2 bedroom Chicago style bungalow gosh darnit! I couldnt afford that without havin to take Sadie and Sally to the butcher man and sell the meat and NO WAY THAT WAS HAPPENIN! Not to mention he only said they had a 30 day warranty. Well, to make a long story short, I called a few companies who didnt know their butts from a hole in the barn door and said they could get rid of them for us SUPER CHEAP but gave no guarantee or just 30 days. Nah...wasnt happenin. Ran across the Men in Black Pest Control company and was like catching 2 fish on one line! The owner Jason came out and checked my whole house out and found those little buggers in both bedrooms, the couch and the chair in the fronchroom (I think thats how you Chicagoins pronounce the LIVING ROOM) Anywho, we agreed on a price $750 for the initial visit and $75 each for 2 follow up visits AND HE GAVE US A 3 MONTH WARRANTY!! Dunno about you and I aint so good at math, but that seemed a whole lot less than that guy from Okra...not as cheap as some of the guys who came in smellin like day old whiskey and dead rabbits, but I thought it was fair. My daddy always told me to check out the guy with the middle price, usually the best service with a FAIR price. (Jason said he dont do one bedroom since these guys can walk just like any other bug. Me and the animals like to watch those reality shows on the idiot box late at night when these little critters eat so it made LOTS of sense to me especially since we found them in the COUCH TOO!!) Well, Jason sent me a list and boy did me and the animals have a lot of stuff to do to get ready, but he told me if we did our part he would do his and the bed bugs would be gone! We let him know when we would be ready and he came out with his crew Jason (big hairy scary looking fella, kinda looked like my sister in law but turned out to be the funniest nicest fella you could meet) and his other fella Tom (kinda scrawny little fella, I think they keep him for moral support). They got right to work. We had to be out of the house for a bit and when we came home we had to put the house back together. Bit of a smell in there but Jason had warned us that was gonna happen and tole me Sadie and Sally to sit out front and have a coffee for about 20 minutes after we went in and opened the windows. I dont drink coffee, white lightning or nuthin for me brother! We came back in and put the house back together. Jason said we might see a few big bugs and some babies for about 2 weeks and we did, 2 big ones (looking like they hit the moonshine still) and a few babies. He came back out 2 weeks later and we didnt have to do anything but be there. He did an inspection, found a few babies that had hatched out and gave the place a spray to freshin it up. We didnt see anything after that and had Jason back out 2 weeks after that. He didnt find any live bugs this time (hell, he even checked in the animal beds, nuthin) Its now 3 months later and none of us have been bitten again, no bumps or nuthin, and no sign of them little bloodsuckers and that was back in August! Oh yeah..almost forgot! While he was in my house he saw mouse droppings in my basement and took care of those for me too!! LOVE THESE GUYS AND WILL NEVER EVER NEVER USE ANYONE BUT THEM AGAIN!! That goes for Sadie and Sally too, but I think they were a little sweet on him to begin with! read more

Needed an exterminator and got THE DYNAMIC DUO! Tom and Rod. These two guys came out to my house about two weeks ago and they were AMAZING! The Yelp reviews about this company are spot on! First off, I had Pest Control Chicagoland come out for ants. The guy was nice but was here (seriously) 20 minutes, sprayed some stuff, charged me $125 and left. Ants disappeared for a few days then came back and good luck trying to get them back out here. I was super miffed to say the least. Called MIB. First off let me say, it was amazing that the girl who answered the phone (Lauren?)knew so much!. I described my ant problem to her and right away she told me exactly what kind of ants I had and when them come out to eat and everything about them. That was super impressive! She was super nice and definitely was on the ball! Lauren got me scheduled in within 2 days. My scheduled day was a SUNDAY. I asked her if there would be any extra charge for the Sunday call and she said NO, absolutely not. She said they realize that people have to work and most couldnt afford to take a day off with the economy still struggling. Me being overworked and underpaid, they won me over right there! Lauren gave me a 2 hours show up window. I asked why they needed the window and she told me its because they take the time they need in each home to do the job right, After my 20 minute visit with no results from the last company this is what I wanted to hear. My team of exterminators showed up about 1/2 through my time window and got to work. While the other company I called took 20 minutes to finish the job, these guys didnt even pull the equipment off of their truck for at least that time. Instead they took the time to go over every inch of my home to actually find the problem areas. They knew exactly what they were talking about and found a small nest in my wall. They said sometimes its impossible to find them, but they do their best each and every time and even if they cant find it, they can still do a treatment which will take care of them. I have a pretty big home. They took about an hour and a half to treat it both inside and outside. What impressed me most is that the treatment they did, didnt just cover the ants they were after, but all sorts of other bugs too. I had the earwigs and centipedes and spiders running around and those are gone too! While they were there doing the inspection they found mouse droppings in the basement, and I dont mean just a little bit, I mean A LOT. They told me not to freak out and that these droppings were not very recent, but suggested that we go ahead and get a mouse program going and try to seal the house up in a few months and you bet I am going to be calling them to do just that! I ended up getting not one but two of the nicest guys you could meet. Tom and Rod were knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and best of all they actually got rid of my darn ants! I'm such a wimp when it comes to mice and so is my husband, so when I suspected that we had a mouse in our apartment, we searched for a pest control company right away. My husband checked through all the Yelp reviews and came up with the Men In Black! (Love the name by the way, very easy to remember and totally cool.) Men In Black Pest Control provided some of THE BEST customer service I've ever had from a company! I called around to a few pest control companies first and most sounded like answering services and couldn't answer my questions because I had heard a mouse scurrying in my kitchen the night before. By the time I got done talking to Lauren I seriously asked her to come to my house and get ride of the mice for me herself! I couldnt believe everything she was telling me about everything mice do and how the person who came out would be treating them. Guess how surprised I was that when she tole me she was not only the owners daughter, but a "licensed pest control technician" herself? Go WOmen in Black! Girl power honey. They sent a technician over to my place the next day first thing. The technician was really knowledgeable and did a thorough search of my apartment for possible entry points. He found some droppings behind the stove and a gap at the front door just big enough for a mouse to fit through. He actually found the mouse under the sink but it ran out of the front door gap :/ The technician (Blake) was really professional and courteous and made a few jokes to calm me down. (Ok, I was standing on a chair the whole time he was there. I was screaming and it didnt bother him a bit, he just took care of business and did his best to make me laugh while I was up there.) Really happy my Bae found these guys, we are moving into a house very soon and Im gonna take them with me. I wish all companies were run like Men In Black. Ive had to use these guys a couple of times over the last 2 years, and it doesn't cease to amaze me how spot on they are each time we call them. I came home from work last week, walked through the front door and my wife was standing on the chair in the kitchen screaming at the top of her lungs. Not something any husband ever wants to come home to. She took one look at me laughing at her and screamed CALL MEN IN BLACK! And that's exactly what I did, I'm a good husband. I got on the phone and sure enough I got to talk to Lauren. She recognized my name and voice right away and treated me like part of the family...or..scenario number 2, she heard my wife screaming in the background and recognized the shriek of death..Im not sure which to be honest, but she knew us, no doubt about it. I told her my wife had seen a mouse and was up on the chair screaming, she made me hand my wife the phone. As soon as she started talking to her, after about a minute, my wife calmed down and came down off the chair. God I love this company. I guess this is their busy season so they weren't able to get me a guy out till the next day, but to my surprise, the owner himself showed up. He said they were swamped and one of their vehicles was down and he was going to take care of us himself. I knew we were in good hands. He started putting down mouse traps and bait and had actually caught the one in the kitchen before he left. He was there for over an hour putting out all kids of stuff. He told us that would kill off the ones that were alive in the house within about 2 weeks. Then he went around and sealed up 3 small holes I would have never found on my own on the outside of the house. 2 had mouse droppings right in there. That's how the mice were getting in. I said it before and Ill say it again, this is the best pest control company ever. We are lifelong customers. read more

I rarely ever use yelp or any other review sites until I was jipped off a website where I purchased a dress. So now I will begin using every single time I need information on a company. I recently purchased my home in naperville and have come aross a serious infestation of insects cenitpedes, ants, and some huge black things. I did some research and asked neighbors in the area who they recommended Men In Black Pest Control. I called and spoke with Stephanie very pleasant voice, great customer skills. It was a pleasure not to hear that sarcastic breathing tone coming from the other end of the phone from another company I won't mention. I explained my critter situation and a technicican by the name of Juan came out and was extremely knowledgeable of the insects and chemicals he would be using. I don't know about other technicians but Dam this guy was good not too mention HOT. Juan explained so much about the foundation, how the problem may have occurred and he will make sure that the insects are all gone. He also told me the name of the large bug I had no idea was. Juan informed me of the American Oil Beetle (to me an ugly black bug) which when approached leaks out some type of liquid that causes blisters on your skin. Learning this had me so grateful I chose them and they send me him. THANK YOU JUAN & MEN IN BLACK PEST CONTROL. I couldn't be happier that I called this company. I recently moved in to my first house in Justice, IL. When my fiance' and I were visiting the house and getting things set up, we noticed an issue with spiders and a few other small insects in the basement level. We wanted someone out FAST to spray the house, so we could begin setting up and comfortably living in our basement when we moved in. Men in Black gave me a very reasonable price, and was able to schedule me in on a Sunday - the day after I moved in! HUNDREDS of dollars cheaper than Orkin; and they didn't pressure me to sign up for any reoccurring contract, either! A one time visit was fine for them! The guy they sent out (Jason Vizzo) was of very high quality. We had boxes everywhere in the house because we had just moved in, but he didn't seem annoyed in the slightest that he was having to step over and maneuver around all our belongings. Jason also took special care to avoid the areas we had our cats locked up in, and made sure we knew to keep them locked up for 20 to 30 minutes, so they didn't get any of the chemicals on their paws. Men in Black made it to where having my house sprayed was one less thing I had to stress over, during this very stressful move. Would highly recommend this company and specifically their tech. Once again, Men In Black has come through for me and my pest control needs!! George, my technician, has helped me keep my mouse situation under control. George came out and refilled my bait and snap traps while giving me information concerning the habits and life cycles of mice so that I would know what to look for concerning their abatement. He also advised me as to a rotten tree outside of my gate that I had concerns about seeing how I thought it might be a place where mice would nest. Without trying to upsell me, George walked and talked me through what I needed to know to make sure that nature (mice) wouldn't encroach into my home. In addition, he informed me that my rate would stay very economical into the future. I will definitely call Men In Black annually to ensure my home is pest free. I also called MIB after reading yelp reviews and WOW, I'm so glad I did! Jason is unbelievably friendly, thorough and prompt. My husband and I just closed on a house and days later, boxelder bugs (aka: stink bugs), decided to move in as well. They were EVERYWHERE! Our attic, bathrooms, bedrooms, you name it. It was awful! I'm so thankful we found MIB to help control the issue. The bugs are still present, but much more manageable and from what Jason tells me, they'll be gone soon! He's been patient and makes an effort to explain the nature of bugs, what's going on in your home and how the chemicals work (which are all completely safe, by the way - esp. for my 11 month old daughter). Jason has been more than helpful and has given me the sanity I needed. I HIGHLY recommend MIB for any pest services you need. I've never written a review for any business before, but really feel compelled to do so in this instance. I have a problem with bed bugs and looked online and called MIB Pest Control based on reviews from Yelp. I can't comment on success, because Jason was such an honest business he recommended that I wait a few weeks (we had someone else come that I wasn't confident in) because he said he didn't want me throwing my money away if it wasn't necessary. He quoted me a fair price for the job if we do need him to come back. He came out for a consultation on a Sunday, answered my million questions and again was just an HONEST person which I really think is hard to come by these days. If our situation isn't taken care of we will definitely call him back. If you have any concerns this is the first company that I would recommend calling. At 10:00 am on Saturday, we noticed yellow-jacket activity in the stone wall in front of our porch. We called one exterminator who seemed more interested in selling us a high-priced contract for regular services than in solving our immediate problem. Then we called Men in Black. The polite voice that answered the phone was the first pleasant surprise. Then, Jason came out within a couple of hours and addressed the problem as though we were friends, not strangers. I own 4 three flats and 2 of them had a bed bugs. I called Men in Black and they were upfront and honest ( its hard to find honest people in this industry) They did a great job and took care of the problem. Rod was the technician who came out and explained everything that was going to happen. Kyle answered all my questions. Lauren in the office is great, she explained all the new laws that landlords have to comply with. I now recommend them to everyone they are a great company and have made my job so much easier! Juan from Men in Black is my hero! After living in fear for the last few months from wasps showing up in my house, I finally called Men in Black. Lauren was great and set me up with a next day appointment. It was the longest 24 hours of my life! I couldn't wait for them to show up. We've had MIB out to take care of a mice issue in the basement. They also did some mitigation work on 2 bay windows to "exclude mice." They are prompt, efficient and personable. Recently, Joe came out, called a half hour before to let us know he was on the way. When he got here he explained what he was going to do, the materials he was using and how long it would take. Prices are reasonable and the technicians are excellent. I would recommend them for any pest issue. I plan to continue being an MIB customer in the future and to provide a referral to any family or friends that require pest services. read more

I called MIB about a mouse and chipmunk problem and Jason came the same day--actually later that evening. He spent more than an hour looking around the house for entry holes, educating me about pests during the entire time. Then he recommended a set of actions that prevented mice from getting inside and eliminated those that had. MIB provides extraordinary attention and charges a fair price for their services. MIB are amazing. Lauren quickly identified the bug I found as a bedbug, which terrified me. I later found out that the floor below me had had them for at least 6 months without treatment. They sprayed right away and ended up taking care of the apt downstairs as well. The building was old and well-infested at that point, but they continued to come back as many times as needed.
