Not bad for a Chinese owned Japanese ramen place. Clean and spacious. There's also a coffee cotti at the front. Ordered a black sesame ramen. Decent amount of chashu along with a whole egg. Broth was pretty good and the noodles had nice chew. Also tried the curry cutlet. The curry has a familiar flavour. Satisfying.

Housed in the previous Fuwa Fuwa spot, this new ramen restaurant is in a prime location at Golden Square, which I have frequented for a long time! I believe it is one of the first locations of this brand from Japan in Ontario and was excited to try! I went for the grand opening special and from that tried two different ramens across visits to get sense of their offerings. For the ramen, I tried the Dark King Kuroo (Black Sesame ramen) which is a pretty unique flavour. It was very smoky and nutty which went very well with the tonkotsu broth. It reminded me of black garlic oil ramen from other restaurants, but with an even deeper taste. I also tried the Green King Mi dori o (Basil ramen). As a lover of pesto and basil, this ramen was a nice lighter flavour which brought out more of the natural tonkotsu taste, with a slight sweetness. Would probably be my go to flavour! The ramens come with branded seaweed and egg which is cool. Egg is pretty standard, slightly jammy, and the veggies like black fungus, bean sprouts, green onions, etc. give some nice texture contrasts. The charsiu/pork belly was okay, it was a bit thicker cut and not as charred or tender as some others I've had. You can also add $1 to choose other proteins like cutlet or karaage, which was also average. You also get some sides of cabbage with sesame sauce and some pickled radish/garlic. Overall the ramen with the sides is very filling, and price is similar to other ramens ($15/16 + customizations). For improvement I would have liked the temperature of the ramen/broth to be hotter as they came out just warm. The green tea served is also room temperature which is a bit weird, and also not that strong. Overall a great new option in the Sauga area, and would probably be back! (for the Cotti maybe, you can also order that your table!)

Black sesame ramen was a novel flavour. There was black garlic too but the black sesame flavour was stronger. Spicy red ramen was pretty standard. There was minced pork in both. Both soups (tonkotsu base - you can have chicken too) were good. The brand was burnt onto the egg & seaweed, which was cute. The chashu was tasty, with nice marbling. You get free pickles & salad too, which were pretty good. I tasted truffle on the pickles which was odd. The free green tea was super dilute.

New ramen shop just opened where Fuwa Fuwa used to be. When you first go inside, you'll see Cotti Coffee first, but there are places to sit inside for ramen. The menu is a QR code, and you can also see the drinks menu from Cotti Coffee on another QR code. I got the original ramen, and it came pretty quickly. I thought the branded egg and nori was a cool touch. The pickled radish on the side was particularly tasty and had a bit of spice to it. However, the black fungus/agaric had a weird flavour to it, and the bamboo was harder than what I'm used to. Also it was a bit strange to have room temperature tea, but it really wasn't bad.

Not bad but not outstanding. They do have some interesting flavours but wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

This restaurant has been on my radar for quite some time, and I didn't realize it had collaborated with a coffee shop (Cotti Coffee) that welcomes guests first. The interior is very simple, with separate sections for the restaurant and a bar area where you can sit if you're dining solo. The menu is quite extensive for a ramen shop, even featuring a burger, which motivated me to visit. The ramen offerings are unique and different from other ramen shops I've visited, incorporating flavors like basil sauce and black sesame -- I've read reviews mentioning a smoky black garlic taste as well. I decided to try the original King Butao, which features a pork broth, along with a Chicken Katsu Burger, and a side of croquette and tako wasabi. Overall, the ramen was pretty good; I was pleasantly surprised by the seasoning of the broth, which had a deep bone flavor. However, it could use a simple tare for added saltiness. I was also surprised to see a cabbage salad and pickled vegetables on the side. The sides I ordered were great, and I would definitely get them again on my next visit. Service was quick, with the staff being very attentive. This place is open at 2 am and I'm curious how the ramen is like as they have a special from 10 PM - 2 AM for $9.99.

Went there for the first week of opening. The service was pretty good considering they were really busy and newly opened. The servers were really nice and accommodating with the fact we had went with someone with food restrictions. The food was not bad. I ordered the Dark King and it was savoury but the Original Ramen (not pictured) really made it worth it for the price. The noodles were chewy and not overdone and the broth was savoury and flavour. My group tried the tonkatsu, chicken cutlet and karaage and they were all delicious and crunchy. I personally liked the karaage the best. The atmosphere was warm and clean. Would recommend!

This place at the mall somewhere. As luck would have it, the entrance we choose is where this restaurant! It's a really small place. When we came in there's only 2 workers! One as waiter, hostess and clean table. The other is cooking. Luckily we don't wait all that long for the food considering only 2 of them. The broth is very flavorful. We shared the tonkatsu black. It has very good garlic flavor. Very rich. It also has standard chasu which is tasty only it was very thin and only 2 slices. The eggs cooked very good, also has the fungus and green onions. I would come back again. It has very limited menu.

I tend to enter Square One through entrance 9. It gets me to Conspiracy Comics, Torrid, and Tanghulu. Between the two sets of doors is Sansotei Ramen. For a while, I have flagged dropping by this ramen joint. I decided to have an early dinner after work a couple of Wednesdays ago. Parking is much better on a weekday. I got a spot between Walmart and entrance 9, and walked over. I walked through the door after reading the helpful sign to push it. Push it real good, according to Salt-N-Pepa... haha I was immediately greeted by a woman who would be my server. She led me to a table and I got a menu to peruse. A male staffer was chowing down and a woman behind me was almost done eating when I sat down. It was quiet and nice. A group of three women came in towards the end of my stay. I am normally a miso or shoyu broth person. I looked at how creamy the tonkotsu looked and wanted it. I got it with thick noodles and corn. I also got a Diet Pepsi and gyoza. The former came first. It came in a cup. The carbonation was nice. It tasted crisp. It was cold. I loved it. My ramen and gyoza came together. It was different, but I was fine with it. The gyoza was excellent. The filling was delicious. Each wrapper held everything together. It was pan-fried perfectly. The dipping sauce made each gyoza yummy. I loved the tonkotsu ramen. I normally don't like the smell of tonkotsu. It was different here. The pork smell was down to a minimum. The broth was creamy and full of body. I loved it so much that I drank the whole thing. I have never done that with tonkotsu broth ever. I got thick noodles. They were chewy and bouncy. So good! The chachu was excellent. I got two decent slices. They were so yummy with the egg, black fungus, and green onion. The corn elevated this bowl of ramen. I have been thinking about this ramen ever since. It was excellent. I paid for my meal at the counter. I used a credit card to pay. I tipped and tapped. Done! I used the washroom before I headed into the mall. It was was a single stall for everyone. It was clean and inviting. I particularly liked the complimentary sanitary products for women. This ramen place was excellent. I can't wait to return. (144)

There was the correct flavour profile for both but it was not strong enough. Nasi Lemak: the rice had a super light coconut scent & no taste (it tasted like normal white rice). The sambal was super spicy & had some coconut in it. Spiciness aside it was pretty good. The chicken itself seemed was pretty tasty (it was probably ayam bakar, though the flavour didn't penetrate far below the surface) but it was covered with sambal which basically obliterated the underlying taste. The peanuts were good - not too big & some were slightly sweet with some flavoured crust. The anchovies were very deep fried & rather dry. The egg was a ramen egg - pretty good as ramen eggs go, but it didn't go with the dish. The dish was served with Vietnamese fish sauce dip, which didn't go.

We ordered the laksa and Hainanese chicken. The laksa was quite coconutty and had a nice flavor to it. There was a bit of toppings to it, but the portion was overall small. The Hainanese chicken had a lot of chicken, but was served on plain rice. Service was oddly slow, even when there were only two tables there. but overall, it was worth trying.
