Took my car here to get a smog check. It was super quick and affordable. Best part is you don't have to get out of the car. You drive your car inside one of the stalls. Amazing! ... I went in today at 4:54pm with no appointment. I was out in under 15 minutes with my SMOG completed. I was quoted $140 by the dealership, he was $68 for SMOG CHECK, TAX and VIR. I spoke with the owner, he communicated every step with me and was extremely gracious for my business. This is how you get referrals and why he earned this referral. read more

The day I chose to take one of my vehicles the shop had no wait, (it was raining pretty heavily). I drove the vehicle into one of the shop stalls and waited inside my vehicle while the service was performed. I had reached out to several shops via Yelp on the project portal for a smog check and although Mena was not the cheapest I realized his service seemed very reasonable and he was very responsive when I asked any questions and was asking for the business. I figured the shops asking for way less money were going to try and okie doke me in the end. He was very kind individual and had me in and out of the shop within 20 minutes. Don't go here ! My uncle went for a smog and his vehicle failed and they still charged for certificate fee when that's illegal! My uncle DID NOT even sign their invoice and they still charged ?!? I called and asked about the situation with my uncle and Mena was extremely rude for no reason when I was trying to get an understanding and simply ask why Mena did what he did. Again, charging for certificate fee is illegal when the car fails yet alone charge full price when my uncle did not sign their invoice. Definitely calling the state on these crooks ! Save yourself the hassle by going somewhere else. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. read more

Highly recommend Mena Smog Check for your smog needs--especially if you, like me, enjoy living on the edge and waiting until the very last week to handle business. Let me set the scene: I had already paid my registration fee (because I'm responsible-ish), but of course waited until the final countdown to get my smog check done. I pulled up to my usual spot, only to be told they no longer do smog checks--despite Yelp saying otherwise. Cue instant regret and dramatic music. So there I am, parked and panicked, pulling up Yelp like a true millennial in distress. I typed in "smog check". Enter: Mena Smog Check. Rave reviews? Check. Only a mile away? Double check. I headed over and was immediately greeted by the owner himself--super friendly, calm, and exactly the energy I needed in that chaotic moment. He let me know I'd be next once the car in the stall was done, and when it was my turn, I was able to stay in my car during the process. That alone is a win because I didn't have to awkwardly linger in a waiting room pretending to scroll while internally panicking over emissions. The wait was short, the smog test was quick, and he walked me through everything like the professional he clearly is. Not only was the service efficient, but the owner was genuinely kind--rare energy these days! I'll definitely be bringing my other car here when it's time for round two later this year. I pulled my truck in and the technician had a couple of questions that I answered. He said he'd be surprised if it past so he hooked up a meter and showed me exactly what the problem was. At this point there was no charge, he told me how to take it out and drive it for about a total of 40 minutes or so and then bring it back. I did the driving I came back he hooked that same meter up and the issue that was seen before was gone. At that point, he hooked the machine up and sure enough it passed. I really appreciated him taking the time to check it first, and I would highly recommend this shop for all smog testing. read more

Reda is the best! This business deserves a 5++ rating! He is very friendly, honest, and very professional. Since my vehicle has not been used for 3 years and has been in a PNO status, I was worried that this process will be difficult. At first, my vehicle did not pass. However, Reda was very helpful and very thorough in walking me through the steps. Following his guidance, my vehicle passed the same day! He truly is an expert! You should understand that this negative review for having my cats cut off three days after smoking at your place is pressure I'm putting on your shop for this bullshit that happened to me and IS happening to EVERYBODY AROUND US. PRESSURE for this BS to become a federal crime SINCE HAVNG CATS IS A FEDERAL REQUIREMNT. And the stupid recycling centers need to stop buying cats from the public, maybe I should just start cutting cats off too it's super easy! . The police don't do shit even with the video and the license plate and that's some serious bullshit. Catalytic converter's cost upwards of over $1500 each for the RIGHT factory equipment. DESERVES 10 STARS!!! What a great experience. The owner exudes customer service. He was all about making sure his customers are happy. Went in for a smog check and was finished in about 10 minutes. He went the extra mile and cleaned my oxidized head lamps. He also noticed my headlight was out, and offered to replace it. He ordered it and called me back in less than an hour. What more could you ask for?? Although there are many places in Rancho to get a smog check, the customer service this guy gives won't disappoint. Went to AAA in Rancho cucamonga today to get my registration completed on my Lexus then proceeded to drive on foothill and stopped by Mena Smog Center in the Deer Creek carwash shopping center. And was greeted by the owner who was very polite and respectful with competive pricing. I have never experienced such great service in a timely manner....especially from a smog place and highly recommend this new business in the city of Rancho cucamonga.
