The Good
Stopped by King for first time because it was locally owned women's business. I asked them to do a Pearl pin repair, they did a great job 5 out of 5 stars.
While there I inquired about a first time lab diamond band , ( perfer natural, but it was kinda impulse buy) and paid $3500.00 . I was, my wife was- a bit shy on "lab"grown, but the salesperson said, yes but they are diamonds". Anyway I did it.
The Bad
Well that "lab" designation finally got to us on the drive home. After talking about it, I thought it best to trade up to a 10,000 ring mine back plus say $7000 - even if after just 10 days we expected to lose 1500.00 bucks.
I was told no by them on taking it back. No to buying it back for $1000. less either.
It's is important for future vistors, ask for papers on the rating of the diamonds, none was provided to us, ( lab diamonds also have one) that really seemed wrong. Additionally on the invoice it said no returns on lab diamonds. That would also have been nice to know prior to the purchase, not on a receipt post sale discovery.

There was push back asking for the lab rating. They needed to see it and per the owner weigh them. I said, so you bought these without that information? She said she knew but I got nothing. I took them the a certified gemologist for appraisal. I'll post results when I get that here next week.
I was told as soon as I left the store with the ring , that it was used thereafter. Look, we are reasonable, I'm now spending 10k ( with others) but the fact they saw no value, even at 1000.00 off what is paid 10 days prior, is ugly. The fact there is no lab diamonds can't be returned sign, or conversation is ugly. The fact I wanted to do business with a locally owned woman's business, but was met with no compromise is ugly.
Happy to be going elsewhere. Buyer beware ... I accept the loss, but can't get passed how it all went down.

The ring comparisons were only meant to give you idea of style not price we desired to buy at. My goodness, even the on line give grade of stone ... Zero from you.
I offered to buy a 10,000 ring. AND as noted take a 1000-1500 loss on a ring 10 days unworn ( except out of store) . I have the emails on all of this - but forget about it, you twisted the facts in your order.
Yes we did go get an independent appraisal by the same person you use . This after you FAILED to be able to tell me anything about the quality of the ring you purchased for resale. You said to me, bring it in, we can examine it and weigh it... How do you buy goods for resale without that. Maybe if I had it at point of purchase I would not have done it.
I'm sure you knew the grade at time you bought it... Why not share it.
Finally there was no mention about no returns on lab diamonds , no sign in store, no sales information to buyer, yes, thanks for the information on the receipt after the sale.
Bottom line, I don't carry if you have been in business 200years, the satisfaction given us was zero... And I clearly offered to take a loss on return .
I hope others read the string and see something of a new set of questions one shouldn't have to ask in a trusted relationship.
I take full responsibility for selecting the ring, I just will go elsewhere for better information and rules at POS.
