I have been to this Menards on Brookpark Road on many occasions. It should be listed as self serve. Every time I have asked for help finding something I have been given I don't know, its not my department, and I don't know what that is(portable window screen- which I found myself). One lady in the lawn and garden section even told me " I don't work inside the store I just cash people out". I was even told by one of the cashiers inside the store when I asked for my total "I'm sorry we are not allowed to tell you". WHAT! I said to her but I need to know whether to pay cash or charge. She then said, "you will have to look for yourself". WHAT! Now dont get me wrong if you want to look for yourself for something or you know what you are doing then this is your place. read more

I stopped at Menards with some out of town visitors right after they opened. The store is amazing. The prices are very good. I went back on Sunday, May 12th. I could not get near the place. Everyone was there for the grand opening. I went back on Wednesday. There was still a lot of people but I was able to find a parking place. I did have to round up a cart. The only thing I do not like is that you have to mail in for your rebate. I suspect that a lot of people like me with only a small rebate will not bother and that way Menards will save a chunk of money. They have an amazing variety of products from home improvement to groceries. read more

I purchased 3 rain barrels in May 2020. At the end of June, 2020 I pushed those 3 barrels in the store to return. After waiting an hour in customer service, the manager refused to refund them and said I couldn't take them back because his employees made an error in May. I had my receipt and Todd, the manager on duty, stole my barrels to fix some unknown error that did not show on the paperwork. The police were called and they told me to contact their corporate office. Terrible! read more

Our main goal was to shop around for a refrigerator since moms broke. We stopped in Menards and found one she like and with a great price. We went to purchase this and Kim helped us with our order not only was she friendly and professional she went beyond and was able to get the refrigerator delivered within 45 minutes after purchase. Mom was so ecstatic and elated. In the process I purchased a freezer in which Kim the outstanding awesome associate was also able to get this delivered the same day to a different address. Kim is a great asset to Menards, an outstanding employee and a very pleasant employee who takes customer service to a higher level. Thank you Kim for all your help with our purchases. read more

To begin, this place is huge, which is a blessing and a curse, as has wide selection of every tool, lumber, hardware, appliances, home decor and home essentials. The only down side to such a large selection of products is that it can be difficult to find an exact thing you are looking for in a hurry. This is lessened by a very helpful staff, which is happy to take you across the store to find the product you want- it is especially helpful if you can pull up what you want on your phone, and then they can look it up by SKU #. Menards on Brookpark Road In Brooklyn Ohio is not a very friendly place to return your items and after waiting for my rebates for more then 8 weeks I have not received any, even though the rebate center issued them weeks ago. I wanted to make some calls about my service and was told there is no number to call anybody. Very bad business practice as I want to talk to someone not email them. I will never shop at there store again and beware, maybe this is there business plan to push costumers away from the return process. read more

I agree with the comments below. Customer service is terrible. You can't find anyone to help you and when you do they don't seem to know anything. I ordered a vanity top for my bathroom , waited a month and it came in almost cracked in half. I feel for the customer who said their bathroom has also been out of commission for a month due to damage goods that were delivered. read more

When I think about a grand opening at a store I'm thinking stores are fully staff and the employees are trained well enough to handle the high volume of people that will fill their stores. Went to buy 2 garage doors at the Brookpark location today. The experience from beginning to end was exhausting. I had to travel around the store just to find someone to help me find the product when I finally found someone they were complaining about how they didn't take their break yet to another employee and basically just quickly entered the order and told me to go to the front to pay. I paid and had to visit customer service to apply the tax exempt to my order. Upon doing this I was offered and in store gift certificate for the tax I paid instead of it being reimbursed on my card and then I had to proceed to the barn to pickup my order. I tried scanning my barcode it told me invalid barcode. The guard shack told me you already picked up your order and I'm like how I didn't even come back here yet. Went back to customer service they had to call the GM who said to tell the guard that it's ok to go through. Finally in the barn waited about 15-20 mins no one showed up. When someone showed up they were like no one radioed us. I ended up having to go back to the pickup desk to have another associate tell their manager to go to the guard shack to even let me out of the pickup area. For a purchase of 2 garage doors it took me a total of one and a half hours. If I were to visit Home Depot I would have been in and out in less than 15 mins. We visited the desk by checkout after picking up our order to talk to assistant manager about our bad experience and he basically said well we are busy and there is nothing they could do. When in my experience it didn't seem like the areas I needed help in were that busy at 8:30pm at night. This to me is an excuse for bad communication. It would have taken one person to radio and make the calls within the necessary departments to ensure a customer was fully satisfied and will return with more business. I'm not saying I won't shop here again but I definitely will use my best judgment for my time after this experience. read more

People who works there very unprofessional and don't even have no clue why they are their and What they are selling... then if you need to find a salesperson you have to spend at least 10 min to run around the store to find one. Do not trust Cabinet Department with large purchases. Inexperienced and unprofessional staff lack attention to details, their inexperience will cost you time and money. Store management unwilling to resolve issues created by Cabinet Department. Don't expect the manufacturer Cardell to help you either. They will just refer you back to Menards store in vicious cycle of inaction. Disappointing customer service all around. They money I thought I saved was not worth the hassle. I have spent a lot of money at Menards in the past 18 months. I recently lost the use of a truck and needed to have lumber delivered to me. I made my purchase and was scheduled for delivery between 7am and noon today. I called the delivery service and received no answer and the voice mail box was full. I do appreciate that "marc" called me fairly soon afterwards. He expressed "sorrow" for the delayed delivery and said they would arrive with an hour. I called the store and spoke with Kahleed who also expressed his sorrow but noted there was nothing he could do about the matter. So, left in my hands, I will share Menards poor service, and failure to meet their commitments with family, friends and neighbors. The delivery cost was $89 plus tax. One might expect a small reduction in cost as I am inconvenienced. Neither responsible party accepted responsibility, in terms of some liability, so, I can only conclude MENARDS DOES NOT CARE about its customers. I will not shop there again! read more

Customer service is lousy. Special order item shipped twice and damaged twice. My bathroom has been torn apart for 2 months. The store manager says he will call and update and try to get the item shipped and they don't call. The item was ordered a month ago and still hasn't shipped and the store and manager are doing nothing about it. They don't care about the customer once they have the money. read more

Beware, beware, beware. I bought a snowblower for this coming winter Spent a week putting it together because of extremely awful instructions-even when I called for help the company people commented how awful their instructions are. I ordered it online because they are not selling them in the store-the only way to purchase. When I tried it after all the work the stupid thing didn't even start. Called again and was told to take it apart and check this and that-no way. If this product is that horrible to put together I'm not taking it all apart again. Was told to return it to the store-I did. Then found out you don't get a full refund. They keep the shipping and processing fee-even though online is the only place to buy it. I am on disability-very fixed income. Know this-they not only rip off other customers but they rip off the disabled too. How un-American. They only offer it online-you return it to their store-and they still steal your money. I should send them a bill for all the time it took me to put together with their awful instructions. I have put together other blowers, mowers sheds and bikes with no problem-this item is clearly the exception-but maybe all their merchandise is an exception. I won't buy at Menards again-they sell garbage and steal your money for giving them business. Learn from my mistake-especially if you are disabled. read more

Worst Worst Worst Experience ever! I love the Avon location. They are professional knowledgeable and just friendly. I shop there alot but today my neighbor & I were going in on a order and unfortunately Avon was out of stock on one item. Brookpark listed they had when in fact..they did not!! Was there..so figured how bad could it be. So short an item..negative..then walk from one end of store to the back to place order of other items. Got both tickets..now delivery...HOT MESS UNORGANIZED...was told by Asst. Mgr. who identified as new to position it would be easier on him and me if I waited to set up delivery but pay for items??? How does that make sense??? So spend 20 mins trying to figure out what? Now take ticket to front to pay...ticket invalid..now walk all the way to back with cashier who was phenomenal. He understood I was trying to pay for items separate for rebate...but now she put all on one slip?? The best the male head cashier could say was...he didn't want to get yelled at and told the cashier to continue as it was alto not right. I spent over $600. Why would you not do right? I am going to call Store Mug tomorrow and see how he addresses and go from there. I though will never return to this location after this. I will stick to Avon and their positive experiences versus this location who doesn't care to get it right for their customers. Shameful and dissappointing. read more

The communication sucks from the time I set up my delivery(6/16) to the time of intended delivery date (6/26) things have been a very big mess. Ryan D. in the delivery dept. was very unprofessional. not only was I just given a delivery date, not a choice (take it or leave it) But I asked for a specific time( that he ok'd, after 3pm because of work). On the delivery date the driver calls a little after 8am to say I'll be at your place in 20 minutes, ugh not a good time. After calling the store several times to get another date for delivery there still seems to be a problem.. I was very excited to have Menards come to Cleveland only to be disappointed. Hopefully the delivery kinks will be ironed out soon, the delivery drivers are private contractors but maybe Menards need to find others that's been trained in customer service. . When someone is spending close to $1000 it should not include stress, frustration nor the run around. read more
