I go to this place quite often and I'll be honest. I believe it's going downhill. Additionally, the last few times I've been the tables are dirty and last night upon entering, it looked like someone had thrown up or dropped and crushed everything that they ate right outside the front door. When you walk in there are usually 2 to 3 employees just sitting chatting doing nothing except checking you out. When you check out there's always the option to tip which I don't quite understand. They have not cleaned the table, cleaned up outside, said hello, welcome you to their business or prepped your food in anyway shape or form. I do understand that they've set up the place for us to serve ourselves, but that is part of their job. I do wish that the tables would be cleaned more often and the mess outside the front door would be cleaned up. With all that being said, last night there were the most people I've ever seen inside. I will definitely be back, but I will probably take my food to go.

I also noticed they have a drive-thru, which is perfect for those days when you just want to grab a quick ice cream and go. Despite how busy it was, there was no wait to place my order. I ended up ordering the Strawberry Chzcake Chunk ice cream in a cone. The scoop was very generous, and the ice cream was delicious. I noticed they offer banana splits, and that definitely caught my attention. I may have to come back and try one next time. They have outdoor seating available, which is nice, but I do wish there were a few more seating options inside. It seems like there is enough room for a couple of small tables for customers who want to escape the Texas heat. I was also happy to see they have a restroom available for customers. Another thing that stood out was learning that they offer military discounts and that the business is veteran-owned. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. Today, I got to be one of the first 100 people to attend the grand opening of this Handel's…read morelocation! A major win to doing so is that I have now secured the opportunity to come back here for the next year and enjoy a small cone every week for free. The corporate staff supporting the opening, ran it smoothly, providing placards to those who stood, securing your spot upon arrival, with me earning spot number 27, I had an excellent time waiting outside for 11AM to come around and was able to get some work done. This is a great location to have the shop, it's next to a Lowe's however, there's ample parking because they're the sole business in the plaza currently. The staff is still learning, however, they were kind, courteous, and fast, despite the fact that this is the very first day in business. The menu is large, a lot of the flavors I grew up, eating at their inaugural. locations are had here such as Buckeye and Graham Central Station. It's even better to know that all the flavors are homemade, with the massive variety of 30+ they had today. The shop is fun, super clean, and high energy with some music playing, and lots of people working to get orders out. On this day, I chose to enjoy the pineapple upside down cake a flavor I've actually never had, and I 100% enjoyed. This is a pineapple cake batter flavor with maraschino cherries throughout it, and I think it may have some coconut in there too? I love ice cream because it's a fun way to have so many different dessert, desserts, and one, and they did a stellar job of converting the gooey fruity cake. We all know into a frozen delicacy.
