This was the worst experience at a Menchie's we have ever had. I relate it to this specific location. There were five of us who came in for dessert. We all went through and got a variety frozen yogurt as well as a variety of toppings and then paid our dues! Those of us that had added home made waffle cones to our order- realized they were not crispy. Not sure if they were under done or if they had wilted. Then there was the frozen yogurt. As we begin to eat we all kind of looked at each other and quit eating pretty much at the same time after the first two bites. We discussed amongst ourselves that our frozen yogurt tasted spoiled! Haven't been here in a while. They're open and they have seating inside and outside, and it is arranged for social distancing. The workers have mask gloves, and customers are required to wear gloves while dispensing yogurt and selecting toppings. I did see a worker come out and wipe down a table after patrons left. One option I wish dining places would do is place a canister of wipes on each table, and allow the customer to wipe it all down if they so choose, before use. So being from Illinois there isn't that much Menchie's or frozen yogurt anywhere but I was always a fan of it and my parents had a machine at home so I didn't really need to go anywhere to get frozen yogurt I remember going to Menchie's once or twice before they closed Years ago and I moved out of state to go to school and I really wanted some frozen yogurt, but I didn't notice that Menchie's still existed in Texas until about a month ago even though I lived here for two years almost. I haven't indulged in frozen yogurt in a couple years and decided to give this new Menchie's a try. The interior is bubble gummy with bright pinks and the space was kept very clean. This was my first visit to a Menchie's and the employees showed me the ropes. The calories and allergen information are listed above each flavor and they have a thorough book behind the counter if you need more allergen/nutritional/ingredient info. They had taster size cups and tried out the snow, peanut butter cup and the mango/raspberry pomegranate sorbet swirl. All those flavors were not too sweet (which I prefer). They have all the cereals and candy toppings which looked nice and fresh. They also had a few fruit offerings to include chocolate covered strawberries. I ended up pouring a cup of raspberry pomegranate sorbet topped with fresh cut strawberries. I enjoyed this flavor along with the addition of the delicious fresh strawberries. On my way out the manager/owner introduced himself and asked what I thought of the layout and thanked me for coming in. He shared some facts that warrant brownie points in my opinion. I'm loving all the new developments in Cedar Park lately! I was very excited when I heard a Menchie's was opening as well. I love frozen yogurt because I can treat myself to something delicious and not feel guilty about it afterwards. I love getting vanilla yogurt and topping it with granola, fresh fruit, and sometimes a little honey. I also like to do fun flavors such as peanut butter yogurt with fresh strawberries as a healthier play on peanut butter and jelly. They have so many options and topping choices here to make everyones tastes buds happy. I actually have a funny story associated with this store. While they were still in the construction stages, Smoothie King had opened next door and my husband mistakenly thought it was here that had opened. He peeked into the window at Smoothie King and said,"Some yogurt place. I barely see any toppings!" hahaha I'm happy to report that he has now been to the REAL Menchie's and he enjoys it as well. Make sure you get a rewards card before you leave. It's 100% free to get one and you earn a point with every dollar you spend. When you get to 50 you get $5 off, or essentially one free yogurt. Register the card online for an automatic 25 points and that way you can just give them your phone number when you check out and not have to worry about carrying the card around. They also give you 7 days after registering to go back to the store again for an additional 10 points. Not too shabby! I do love a place that rewards me when I spend my money there. I have lived in Cedar Park for almost 10 years....I have seen froyos like YoYos, Orange Leaf, etc come to this area...and over time those places have failed in either customer service, loyalty programs or great tasting yogurt. This place has everything you want when you come into this place. You get greeted by young employees who appear they are in high school..which is great because those skills will pay off later for them in life. Next, they ask you if you have been here and help you with getting a great froyo experience. Last, the price and quality of yogurt is the best i have ever seen. We went here today after seeing under cover boss and I have to say I am in love with this place.We were greeted right when we walked in, the girl was helpful and asked if we have ever been there before and introduced the new flavors which is great ! And she was so friendly, the flavors they have are awesome !! Superb customer service. Ordered via UberEats twice and each time it looks like they made it at my house. It's amazing how they keep it looking perfect even on a drive over via delivery. One time they were out of a flavor and a girl called me from the restaurant and sincerely apologized and was so thoughtful and worried that I would be upset about it. It was amazing how much care she invested in pleasing their customer. The teenage counter person seemed more interested in staring at the floor. After checking out the selection we quickly realized they were out of half the flavor selection. The afore mentioned worker stared at us as we walked around in frustration without even attempting an apology or verbal communication at all frankly.
