Mobile Pickup Review: Im sure customer service is fine here, i don't really know, but the Mobile Order Pick Up experience is eh every time, maybe they need to move it or get rid of it completely at this location or assign it to a specific worker. If you don't like to speak up loudly, just go in and order because if you stand in the mobile pick up area they don't really acknowledge you, you will stand there for multiple minutes unless you speak over the blenders/music to a random person in the back working. An anxious person's nightmare. After 3 people ordered, I just stood in the regular line and said I had a pickup, but that defeats the entire purpose of the mobile pickup line lol they also charge a service fee on the app for pick up so i wouldn't recommend using that service here. I've stopped in at this location a number of times. The employees are always polite and friendly, and the location is convenient when I am in the area. This time I had my hubby with me. I ordered a small Orange Dream Machine for myself and hubby ordered the medium Mango A-Go-Go. The drinks themselves were fine, but fair warning about their cup sizes. We put our cups in the side by side car holder. The small cup is shorter and fatter while the medium is more slender and taller. After getting home we measured the volume of both cups. The small cup holds 16 oz, and the medium holds 20 oz. He would have ordered a small if he had known it was only a half cup more. We paid $7.59 and $8.59, respectively. I didn't spot anything in the store that gives you the actual cup volume, but then again, I wasn't looking. They do display calories per serving and ingredients, though. Enough of my PSA for the day. We decided to pay a visit to Jamba Juice today, because we saw that they are offering $5 acai bowl for National Acai Day, but to get there and being notified by employee that they are not participating in the $5 acai special. Very disappointing. We went on the app, and no where on there even lists the participating locations, which was disappointing as well. We ended up paying full price for 3 bowls anyways, because we were already there, but one of the acai bowls was half full, while the other ones were fully full. When I asked the employee...her answer was, "oh maybe we made extra" which still didn't make it right for one of our acai bowl to be only half the amount as the other one. Love getting the açaí bowls at Jamba. I usually get them for lunch, but thought it would be a good way to start my day by having some açaí for breakfast. There were quite a few people in store, I didn't know so many people would be craving Jamba at 9:50am. Thankfully at this time, the Pinole shopping center parking lot isn't too full. If you've placed your order beforehand, there are a few parking spots in front of the store that are reserved for pick ups. You can do a mobile order or order in-store. The açaí bowl is quite sweet and includes the açaí base, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, granola, coconut shavings, and honey drizzled on top. Out of all the bowl options, I've only tried açaí and the vanilla blue sky, which looks pretty, but I'd rather stick with the classic açaí primo. I went late in the afternoon & ordered the Orange Dream Machine. This was a healthier version of the one you would buy at an ice cream shop, so you feel less guilty. Orange Dream Machine has just the right amount of sweetness so that you don't need to drink water with this. This is a drink I often go back to. Açaí Anti-Oxidant contains soy milk.Açaí grape juice, strawberries & blueberries. For those who are lactose intolerant this is a great choice & a little less sweeter than Orange Dream Machine. There's a slight texture to this drink & I actually had chunks of strawberries stuck in my straw. I've always enjoyed Jamba Juice & today wasn't an exception! I love this place. Perfect start to the day. I like that this location knows the secret menu. My favorite is Thank You Jesus (Lemonade, Soy Milk, Pineapple Sherbet, Lime Sherbet,Strawberries). It's so good very satisfying. Recently I tried the new Electric Berry Lemonade. So good wasn't disappointed. Sometimes I get my smoothies thick so they don't melt by the time I get home and to prevent me from slurping the whole thing down in 5 minutes. Let me start off by saying that I love Jamba Juice. I usually get the Orange Dream Machine, which is always delicious, but has a lot of calories. So, I took a look at their menu and saw that they have a plant-based smoothie called Vanilla Blue Sky which has coconut milk, almond milk, bananas and pineapples. The first time I ordered one, it was great. Not too sweet, but still tasty and about half the calories of my usually Orange Dream Machine. The second time I came to order one, it was a hot summer day so they were busy. I placed my order and proceeded to wait. Shortly after waiting, the girl preparing my drink told me that they were out of blue spirulina and asked me if I wanted to substitute anything else. Before I answered, another employee told her that she could just get more in the back. To which she replied, "oh ya, I could do that." Review #097 - 2019 Before heading to the park, I decided to take the kids here for a semi-healthy treat. The 7 of us showed up around 4:30 PM on Saturday, April 6th. There was no one else inside so we were the only ones in line. I went with a large mega mango smoothie because it sounded super good with some of my daughter's favorite fruits: mango, pineapple, orange, and strawberry. It didn't taste as good as it's name. It was super sour! Luckily, Owen ordered a large orange dream machine, which is my usual go to drink so I ended up trading my drink with him. My two nephews got a large mango-a-go-go smoothie, one the normal way & the other with whey. The one with whey expands so it ended up yielding enough to make a small cup for my son to try since he didn't order anything. He hated it! LOL My niece got the medium açaí super antioxidant smoothie, which she actually finished. I guess it must have been really good because she hardly ever finishes anything. Okay, I rarely give out five stars but I've been going to this Jamba Juice since 2008 and I have been always pleasantly been happy everytime I leave. The Asian dude who was one of the supervisors or managers on staff is always there in the evening when I go and he always greets us when we walk in. No matter how busy they are to get through the line fast and finish these drinks even faster. Definitely a great place to be when you want a quick smoothie, wheat grass shot, Pitaya or açai Bowl. This visit I got the island pitaya bowl and ask for extra honey, although they didn't give me as much money as expected they were extremely busy like line out the door busy. They were still able to get my order quickly, made in under 5 minutes, and had me out the door. My company also got the peanut butter mood and I tried it and it was delicious definitely had hints of peanut butter all throughout the drink I mean how can you mess up something so delicious. I always come here and never have a problem getting my shakes or bowls here. But today i had the rudest employee helping me today. The cashier Kris was taking my order and was upset cause I couldn't hear him correctly because he was mumbling words underneath his mask and also very loud in there and music playing as well. He became more rude and had attitude when I kept repeating myself saying excuse me because I couldn't hear. I usually get the acai bowl but saw that they offer chia pudding. The cashier let me try a sample of both the mango tumeric and blueberry coconut chia pudding bowl. I like them both but i ended up getting the mango tumeric chia pudding bowl. The bowls are basically chia seeds soaked overnight and is served cold with fruit and coconut. 2 Stars for cleanliness and good resolution, but lacking training, knowledge, and poor communication skills. That said, I'm a huge fan of Jamba Juice and my family and I usually haven't had any issues here in the past. Hopefully, this will be a good learning experience for the Manager and the Staff so that, in the future, instead of making the customer feel more like they are the problem, the manager and the crew can display more empathy to make sure their customers feel more valued even if the transaction was for a $1.00 (or free in this circumstance) because you can never judge by appearance whether or not you are servicing a loyal customer in that very moment. After my visit at TMobile in the same Pinole Plaza, a TMobile Associate suggested I swing by Jamba Juice to take advantage of the TMobile Tuesdays offer for a $1.00 Impossible Burger (see pics). However when I arrived happy and excited feeling like it's my birthday, the Trainee at the register instructed me to download the Jamba Juice App so I sat outside the bench for a few minutes to download and sign up. After signing up, I came back into the store (luckily no one was in line) and the Trainee scanned my Jamba Juice Bar Code. Nothing happened and he was unable to process the offer on at the register. So he reached out to one of his co-workers. In the end, none of the 3 Jamba reps on the floor were able to figure it out. In fact, each of the 3 Jamba reps starting with the Trainee at the register took turns telling me I had to perform an Online Order by using the Jamba Juice App in order to use the $1.00 offer when the offer clearly states, "In-Store" or "Online" (see pics). Even after they realized it was also an "In-Person" offer, none of the reps were trained on how to process it at the register. After 10-15 min of inquisitiveness from the trainee to the 2nd rep and then to the 3rd rep (what should have been a quick 5 min transaction), they all decided to reach out to their manager in the back office. Manager came out and looked at my phone and asked if I had downloaded the Jamba Juice App........again. All while, the trainee just stood next to the manager silent as if he knew nothing about what's going on. I got a bit irritated so I asked the manger to ask the trainee whether or not I had downloaded the Jamba Juice App to which the trainee finally decides he would reluctantly offer his knowledge of the situation as if he was getting his tooth pulled out. Although he appeared somewhat annoyed while heating up my Impossible Burger, he seems like a good kid so I hope experiences like this will help him with his communication skills and teach him how to become more proactive when escalating difficult situations so that the customer is not being asked the same questions over and over again.....especially for a $1.00 burger promotion. Wow, that was a lot of work for a $1.00, but in the end the manager was also not able to process it at the register so she made the executive decision to offer the MINI IMPOSSIBLE BURGER for FREE to which I almost wanted to insist on paying the $1.00 because the situation made me feel more embarrassed than the "happy and excited like it's my birthday" feeling I initially walked in with. Silver lining is on my way home I came across a homeless person so I paid it forward with the Impossible Burger hopefully to make things a little more possible for him. This is a regular stopover for me when I'm heading to and from the Bay Area. I consider Jamba a healthier and far easier to consume option than fast food, and this location is just a hop, skip and a jump off the freeway. I've never had a bad experience here. The employees are friendly, the drinks made as intended, the lines short or nonexistent depending on the time of day you visit. I was even sucked into a conversation with a couple friendly Pinolians (is that what you call them?) about the women's World Cup while waiting for my drink and must say they were two of the friendliest folks I've met in awhile. I guess a positive atmosphere attracts positive people. My go-to drink it the Acai Super Antioxidant. It's chock full of berries, vitamins and sweetness with a creamy kick. It's also high in sugar, so I'll curb my addiction by occasionally ordering a veggie/fruit smoothie instead. read more

Today is a holiday in these here parts. It's not the last day of school, or even the day of the football homecoming game (though both turn PVR into a veritable parking lot). No, today is the day that Jamba Juice opened down the street from the school at which I work. For months, students, faculty, staff, and community members alike have fought the crowds ogling the building of the new shopping center in order to get to school. And today our patience was rewarded, with JJ opening its doors and itself to be attacked by those with low blood sugar levels. And as was to be expected, it was a total mess of kids. I'm the only teacher who thought it a wise idea to brave the mass of teenagers that had engulfed the store. With only five people behind the counter, I was incredibly impressed with the calm and professionalism exerted by those fending off cries of "Oh hell no bitch, that be my Razzmatazz!" The beautiful thing of working at a school like the one I do is that we have on-campus police officers that make a valid attempt to enforce attendance. And as the minutes dwindled down before the ring of the first bell, they pulled up in their cars and started kicking ass and taking names. At the very least, it meant I got my drink faster (first period prep is like being told you should show up at the office at 9, but you don't have to do anything until 10). At the very worst, riots and insanity ensued. Ok, not really. But there's going to be a shit ton of kids on the suspension list on Monday. Honestly, I only went here when they had their special 16oz for $1 a while back (normally it's around $5) My favorites were Apple 'n Greens, Orange Carrot Karma, and Orange C-Booster. In some of them I found frozen chunks of bland fruit. Refreshing, I guess. The service here is friendly and quick.
