Daniel can be a bit hard to get a hold of, particularly through texts, but the water damaged areas were fixed quickly once we were able to schedule it. After that we were assigned Larry Ingramm as the project manager for reconstruction and I have nothing but praise for him. He is great at communicating, knowledgeable about the products and services, incredibly patient when we had a hard time making decisions, and went above and beyond every time we asked for help or clarification. We were so lucky to have him as our first project manager! At the beginning of the reconstruction project, there was a lot of stressful miscommunication between myself, the remediation department and home insurance with regard to where payments were being allocated and Larry helped clear a lot of that up. Our project has since been passed on to a different person due to time and resource constraints but Larry immediately worked on getting the new PM up to date on the whole situation so there wouldn't be any miscommunications. Larry left such a good impression that we felt the need to praise his work even though we haven't completed our reconstruction project yet. Things are also looking good with the new project manager Junior. He got in touch with me immediately after the project was transferred to him and has been very respectful. I had one question about a procedure and he answered so clearly and succinctly that I was floored. I really think it's the first time anyone I've ever worked with at a business level that has answered one of my questions that clearly. From just that one answer, I'm quite impressed and no longer apprehensive about this project moving forward. If only everyone was a Larry or Junior, life would be so stress free! I am excited to get our reconstruction project underway and would definitely call on these two again if needed. The remediation portion of my experience gets a 3.8 stars since I wasted a lot of time figuring out the ropes when both my home insurance and Cutting Edge could have been clearer about who should pay remediation (hint - home insurance typically pays remediation directly, and the customer only starts paying when reconstruction starts). Larry and Junior both get 10 stars each for communication, and work ethic which is why Cutting Edge is still getting 5 stars from me overall. I will update this review after reconstruction is actually finished but I think it'll be just fine since Junior will be overseeing this.

Very disappointing experience…read more Communication was poor throughout the project. I rarely knew when they were coming or what the timeline looked like unless I asked. The biggest issue is that they damaged a custom cabinet during removal and were unable to match it when replacing it. Their first attempt was a plywood cabinet that looked nothing like the surrounding cabinetry. The second attempt used solid wood but still didn't match. They eventually brought in another cabinet maker and got closer, but the replacement still very obviously does not match the rest of my kitchen. Now I will have to hire another company to redo the work to get a proper match. Their solution was offering 20% off the invoice, which doesn't come close to covering the cost of fixing the problem. If you're installing all new cabinets from a wholesaler, their work might be fine. But if you have custom or high-end cabinetry that needs to match, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

It was first pressure washed thoroughly, to remove all the dirt and debris from the facia, eaves and stucco. Including my retaining walls. All the cracked and damaged stucco was repaired and sealed prior to the house being completely repainted with two coats of an 100% Acrylic Elastomeric Lifetime Coating. The material they used on the stucco is guaranteed for a lifetime. I will never have to repaint the exterior of my home again. MM came in after demo and dug a SUBSTANTIALLY larger footer (this footer will outlive the house, it's a least 3 yards of concrete, over 10,000 lbs). MM built up a replacement block wall, with rebar and filled with concrete, as the original wall was supposed to have but was lacking. They performed all of the work in unfortunately some of the worst outdoor conditions we've seen - schedule wise it just so happened to be a heat wave of temps in the +105 in La Mesa, and would cool off over the weekend only to heat back up again during the week. His price was reasonable, and the roof of that room looks wonderful! Because of my wonderful experience with him and his company last year, his company was who I called a few weeks ago to get my house's roof totally replaced since it was quite clear that it was on it's way out. Jeremiah promptly sent out Thomas to measure everything and to give me the estimate. The estimate came in at my expectations. Because I already knew that I was dealing with honest people, I must admit that I didn't do what consumers are supposed to do and get more bids. Because another customer rescheduled their project with them, they were able to start work on my roof immediately. They showed up promptly to clear off the old roof, and it was done quickly. They did a nice job cleaning up after themselves. Then, Jeremiah again proved to me how honest he is. First of all, he told me that it is very uncommon to not have to replace any of the boards on the roof but yet I had none that needed to be replaced. Also, when I thought that my fascia boards might need to be replaced by them because they were looking ratty, he told me that they had inspected every board and all were in good condition and did not need to be replaced; they just needed to be painted. Basically, he did not try at all to sell me something that I did not need. My final cost was what the estimate was. That said, my situation was unusual because everything was still in good condition, and another customer might not have everything in good condition which would increase the cost. If that happens, though, with Nolanco you can be assured that what they say needs to be replaced really does need to be replaced. Alex, the roofer did an excellent job of installing the roof. I have already referred my sister to them to do her house. Because of termite damage, she will need a lot of boards replaced. In that case, her price will be higher than the estimate, but I have no doubt that what they charge her for replacing boards will be a fair and competitive price. In case you can't tell, I highly recommend Nolanco for your roofing needs. BTW, I did learn the hard way that you should clap if you want the roofer's attention and not just start talking to him. Alex didn't know that I was there until I startled him by talking to him. He almost fell backwards off of the roof, but fortunately he was able to balance himself. Sorry, Alex! Now others know to clap to get your attention!

The roof leaked, and not only did he decide it was more important to get new tires on his truck than repairing his faulty work, but in the discussions we had by text (he wouldn't take my phone calls) he called me a dumb ass and a little b**ch!
