I emailed Menifee Valley Landscape Just before 8:30am on a Friday explaining our needs with our drip system and sprinklers. Anthony answered my email in about 40 minutes. He replied that he would be happy to help and he was able to squeeze us in between appts. for an estimate that morning. He spent a fair amount of time listening to my concerns and problem solving for a reasonable service fee of $30. We thought it was fair. He left to take care of prior commitments and sent us a detailed and itemized bid that evening. We felt the price was fair and accepted his bid. He contacted us early the following morning (about an hour or so before our appt.), letting us know that there was a product price increase so the original bid would require a $30 increase and didn't want to surprise us without pre approval. We agreed and he arrived on time and began work right away. His helper, Francisco arrived a short time later and together they solved our issues and mowed our lawn. :) Everything so far appears to be running much better than before and we felt his price for the irrigation work was fair and that he and Francisco did a great job...above and beyond. He holds a C-27 with the CSLB and that license is active at the time of this review. We happy, so far, and plan to have him bid some other projects around our evolving landscape and hold faith for a good relationship moving forward. Thank you Anthony and Francisco! read more

Update: After the review Anthony and another man showed up to our house unannounced claiming to be there to finish the job. They took their equipment and left, claiming he was sending someone else at 1. We will be taking this man and his business to court for unprofessionalism. On top of that, our roommate has witnessed this man buying Crack pipes from their smoke shop. Steer clear of this man and his business. Last update: Shockingly (heavy sarcasm) nobody showed up to finish the job in the backyard. This man claimed that he was going to finish and replace work that had been damaged by the sun, takes your money, and bails. Do yourself a favor and avoid this man and his company at all costs. He also had us pay in cash for "tax purposes" and on top of that has a very sketchy demeanor. Now we'll be down several thousands of dollars and have to spend more with a contractor that is actually reliable. Avoid this man and his excuses. read more

Anthony Martinez works under Menifee Valley and Menifee irrigation & sprinkler repair. I called him to replace 4 residential sprinkler control valves. showed up late for the quote meeting. never the less I hired him. He started digging the valves out (with my shovel) and left after about an hour and said he would be back the next day to complete but wanted $100. Showed up the next day late. Anthony did not bring any tools or parts. (what legitimate company showed up without tools or some basic parts) I did have all the basic parts required. As part of our conversation, he told me he was a recovering from drinking and Meth. He talks a good game and did not go with my instant not to hire him. He left to go to the bathroom and have lunch. Returned 3.5 hour later. he got the valves installed only. Did not backfill or return landscape to normal. Again wanted more money. The next day, showed up late again and about 1.5 hours into the job he left again said he had to go to the bathroom and refused to use mine. Returned 2.5 hour later. when I questioned him about disappearing from the job , he blew a gasket and left. Never to return. At this point I have paid him $300 and owed him $100. When I turned on the sprinklers manually 1 of the 4 stations blew apart. The landscape was not put back and the valves were not wired. I will have to hire someone to finish his work. NEVER, NEVER hire Anthony Martinez, Menifee Vally or Menifee irrigation & sprinkler repair. He will rip you off, is unreliable, unprofessional and does shitty work. This was hands-down the worst company I have ever worked with in my life. I should have listened to my gut the first day he came to give us a quote. The quoted price that he gave me for the area that I was going to have covered in concrete started at $7400 then quickly increased all the way close to $9000 in a matter of minutes because he kept "forgetting" to add other costs in.His crew of workers were late every single day that they came to work for us except the very first day. And to add to all of this he rescheduled the pump truck three different occasions. Finally when the pump truck was scheduled to lay down the concrete on Monday the driver of the vehicle demanded that we pay him $1700 and that he wasn't going to leave until we paid him. It was to my understanding that the quote that had been given to us was all inclusive and that we were to pay him the amount in whole. After the concrete had been laid down his crew of workers then proceeded to demand that we pay them and that they would not leave our property until they were paid. During this entire process the boss who came to give us the quote for the area that we wanted to have concrete laid down was no where to be found and we hadn't heard from him during this entire process. Finally he returned my husbands phone call and instructed us to pay his crew of workers $4800 and that she would come to our home to pick up the remainder $2400 that we owed him. He arrange the time to come pick up the remaining $2400 at 8 PM and it quickly became apparent that he was not going to come until the next day. Now the project is complete and we have paid in full and today the pump truck driver shows up to my house an hour after we paid the boss the remaining balance and he demanded that we still owed him $1700. We explain to him that we have already paid the boss and that he will have to take it up with him. The driver of the pump truck advised us not to work with this Company again and he gave my husband his personal cell phone information to contact him with later jobs in the future. The pump truck driver also informed my husband that they were not the ones who kept rescheduling the concrete pour, and that it was Anthony the boss who had called them to reschedule the delivery of concrete three separate occasions. He let us know that he will no longer be working with Anthony and his company. I can only advise you to do the same. read more

My rating is -5 Very disappointed in the customer service received by Anthony. Made an appointment for 2pm Tues. Called Anthony at 2:45 to find out where he was. Said he had an emergency water issue. Reschedule for Thurs at 2:30. Called Anthony Thurs at 1:30 to confirm he would be at the house at 2:30. Have not heard from Anthony since. This type of customer service is unacceptable. You don't leave people hanging... My advice is to call another landscaper. I am sure there are plenty in Menifee that will take your business. Better Business Bureau will also be notified. read more

The project took about 10 days to complete both the front and backyard converting to a drought resistant landscape . It went from the worst yard on the block to the best in the entire community! He came out to do an estimate on block wall, realized that it would be out of our price range, so I wanted a quote on a vinyl fence. I reached out to Anthony and he was quick to return my call. We set a date for him to come by for an estimate, he arrived early and provided a quote a few days later. Once I decided to move forward with the concrete project, he scheduled me for the following Monday. On Saturday he called and asked if he could start on Tuesday instead as they hadn't finished the previous job. Not being in a hurry I agreed and I appreciated the call in advance about the schedule change. Tuesday he and his crew arrived and went to work. The job was a bit more than I think he originally thought but they kept at it. Wednesday and Thursday his crew was only here for a few hours before they left, assume for another job. Friday they had finished up most of the demo but found an issue with my existing drain pipe, it was cracked from a previous fence and had roots inside, blocking majority of the water from draining. His crew brought it to my attention and we agreed to fix it for a very reasonable amount. After getting the pipe and supplies needed to fix the drain, they finished the repair and set the forms. Later the same day they poured 6.5 yards of concrete. His team did a good job creating approx 70 feet of curb and a small flat area of patio. All of this was done just after having new vinyl fence installed. They came back about 5 days later to clean the fence of concrete dust and the area in general. The only hick-up was one of the fence posts of the new fence moved some during demo and wasn't noticed by the crew pouring the concrete. I saw it later after they had finished and left and point it out to Anthony. He was very apologetic and admitted his crew should have seen this and fixed it prior to concrete being poured. Luckily it is on the side of the house in a spot that isn't seen often. Overall Anthony and his crew did good work, we had good communication and competitive pricing. The job was to create a concrete border for what will become a memorial garden honoring Medal of Honor winners. The border is exactly what was specified. Anthony, the owner of this company, was quick to respond and gave a quick quote and even came down in his price to compete with other bids. In the end we paid 12k for fescue grass, sprinklers and drainage, concrete patio and walkway (he added the walkway at no charge), curbing, rocks and 15 plants. His contractors that came and did curbing did great work and his workers are hard working guys. Overall I liked the work that was done. The issues came after the install. Anthony gives plenty of assurances on his work and encourages you to call about grass issues and any problems claiming he will fix them. He does not. My grass had several deep sink spots that I contacted him about as soon as they were noticed and sent him pictures and he kept giving me dates they would be fixed. Shortly after the plants that his crew planted began to die. He said he would take a look at them and reimburse me for new plants. None of this ever happened. We had to fix it all at our own expense on our own time. His work may be done pretty good and fast but don't expect him to fix anything that goes wrong! read more

Menifee Valley Landscape Inc is amazing! We requested a quote for some concrete work and he saw a giant crack on the outside of our house and told him we were going to get a quote for that as well. He told us they could handle it for us. Our house looks amazing and doesn't look like a patch job. He also took care of our sliding glass door area beneath the steps that has had many repairs. Sorry to say that I didn't check for reference before we invested over $13,000.00 with this contracting company. Mr. Anthony was fast to get the job done and get the money but never cared to respond to my calls after the grass he installed grew weeds and eventually died within one month!!!!! He never responded to my calls and even blocked my phone in order not to receive messages requesting that he come and fix his worthless work. He appeared professional at first but once the money was delivered he dropped us!! Don't do any work with him because it will be a waste of your hard earned money. By the way we paid him what he asked for to put in new grass and fix our sprinkler system. The grass is dead and we are out of $13,000. A strong warning from a very unhappy customer DON'T USE HIS SERVES!!!! read more
