I have been here twice, the first time was wonderful and the second time was horrible that I won't be returning. Let me share about the second time: I called to make an appointment with Zoey, they gave me an apt for 3pm for a deep tissue massage. I got there but the door was locked, so I called and the owner (I believe it was the owner) picked up and said she is driving over and to wait. It was weird, I should have left but because I had a good experience the first time I decided to wait it out. I waited about 7 minutes and someone opened the door, and told me to sit (the person didn't say sorry but pointed to. A chair) so I sat, and waited. I thought about leaving but too much time had passed so I decided to wait it out, and yes it was one of those decisions that you regret after. I waited 32 mins past my appointment, when they finally showed up and led me to a massage room. This is where it got worst, it was one of the worst massages I have ever gotten, filled with elbows and nails- l had to tell the massage therapist to take it easy, but she was scraping my skin with her nails, I don't know how that works. Honestly, I was disappointed. On top of that they charge 5% credit card charge, my message for an hour was $100 they charged me 105 before tip because of the credit card fees. This should be a business charge! The first time I was here, I had a great experience and loved the massage therapist and they honored my massage time. It was 90 minutes massage for $150 and I tipped $40 but they had charged me $45 so 12.5% credit card fee!! The $150 was a gift card I had received for my birthday and I wanted to tip well because I had a good experience besides the credit card fee! Which I thought was in error but I let it go. I've come three times and won't be returning after my most recent visit. The staff are always really quick to respond to requests for appointments, however I was recently charged the wrong amount for a massage and didn't realize until I got home I had overpaid. I reached out multiple times via text and email over several weeks and was ignored each time. I finally had to dispute it with my credit card and was given a refund for the amount I had overpaid. I was charged for a 90 minute massage, but had a timestamp for my appointment start time and my receipt which clearly showed I'd only had the 75 minute massage. The whole thing felt scammy and left a bad taste in my mouth, so I won't return. read more

I had a pretty bad experience during my recent appointment, which I made last minute. I've usually been to their location on El Camino and had a better experience. However, after yesterday's visit, I am still feeling sore. The masseuse was constantly interrupting the session to check her phone. She would stop to answer texts and calls, and at one point, she even took a picture of something--I'm not sure what it was. She frequently left the room to speak with other customers or to get towels. I paid $185 for a 90-minute massage, which included a tip, so I expected to come out feeling relaxed. Instead, as soon as I left, I couldn't stop thinking about the picture she took and how I felt compelled to write a review. I almost never write reviews, but this time it felt necessary. read more

From start to finish the entire session was a wash. I booked an appointment on Saturday at a specific time because I had other commitments thereafter. I arrived early. I was told it would be five minutes. When I arrived, there was no room to sit anywhere in a very small waiting room. It took five minutes for the front desk gal get me a chair. In broken English, she told me I had to pay upfront. (Yes I thought this was strange because that meant I wouldn't be able to tip not knowing what the service would be.) The website indicated that the cost would be $90 and Apple Pay rung me up for $94. The Appointment did not start for another 15 minutes. This meant I would not get the full hour. Once I was in the room, it took another five minutes for the massage therapist to enter. When she entered, she spoke no English. There was no understanding of simple words nor of the human body. The massage itself was about as powerful as having your five year old rub your shoulders. She only massaged one side of my body There was no concern for any areas of pain or prior injury. Saying things like "less pressure, slowly, not there, stronger, etc.." did not register for this female massage therapist. The therapist proceeded to tried to go past the time at which I need to leave, and she did not seem to understand that. I finally had to say "please stop" and sat upright. It was only then that she understood I had to leave. The entire time she looked bewildered and did not know what to do. I would say that massage therapy is not her calling. It's one thing if you can't speak a language but if you can't understand it, that's even more of a problem. I had spent 50 minutes in the room with this massage therapist, and when we were done, she had only done one side of the body! When I went to the restroom, there was no toilet paper. I mentioned it and the staff did not seem moved by my request for more. I was grateful to be leaving that business. I will never go back again. read more

Took a chance and I'm glad I did. The shop itself is tucked away along a generally busy road while pulling in. Everything was clean and sanitized, and my masseuse Zoey did an amazing job. I have some really deep knots where passing by various masseuses including chains (Massage Envy) has me still walking out with some pain from missed areas. I've driven by this place and have seen their sign since they opened and today was the day. I really needed a relaxing massage having not had one since the pandemic began. Are used to get a massage every six weeks so I decided to try out the new place in town. I walked in and was immediately transformed into a quiet meditative place. The gentleman at the front desk was the owner, Tom. I am very impressed with the cleanliness, the relaxing color scheme & decor, the comfortable chairs and the bottled water. A 90 minute massage was amazing. I opted for their Signature Massage. Lily was very strong and knew exactly what areas to work on. Sometimes she was a little overzealous with the pressure but I told her and she was responsive. In the middle of the massage she exited the room and I was wondering why. I realize that she had brought in a basket of hot stones. I had never experienced a hot stone massage and it was wonderful. I'm not sure that every massage comes with a hot stone treatment but it was the frosting on the cake. Made it very special. I will be coming to this place every month with regularity. It's a wonderful place to relax and work out the tension in your muscles. I judge a good massage business by the ambient lighting, comfortable massage table, fragrance, warmth of the room, the fresh linens, and of course the masseur or masseuse' professionalism. 5 stars on all counts. read more

This place saved me from an excruciating neck pain. I was barely able to turn my head in the morning. After arriving work, I couldn't even look down at my monitor. So I called several places. This was the only one has availabilities the same day. The masseuse knows just the right pressure points and muscle to stimulate. Be ready to fight pain with more pain. I went in for a massage last week. I signed up for 1.5 hr massage and reflexology. I explained that I am recovering from a total knee replacement on my left knee. Masseuse proceeded to work on the left leg for 45 min. She didn't have me flip over or work on my back or backside of my legs at all. My left leg has been badly bruised and in pain since the massage. The 15 min reflexology never happened. I have had massages for years. I have never had only one side of my body massaged before and I have never been bruised or in pain. I am booking another massage this week to get the back side of my body massaged this week. read more

Absolute WORST massage I've ever had!!!! DO NOT go here!! I walked out of my massage about 20 minutes into it bc the massage 'therapist' was only using his elbows and rubbing my skin. Nothing about this experience was a massage. I'm actually leaving this place in pain. I cannot NOT recommend this place anymore. When I walked out and told the owner he said what I was saying couldn't possibly be true. Well, yes dude it's absolutely true. People don't get up and walk out of a massage if it's even half decent. Elbows hard into your spine and rubbing of skin do not equal an actual massage. I knew the price at this place was too good to be true. This is absolutely NOT an actual massage parlor. At best it's a glorified foot massage. Although saying that would be an insult to foot massage places. Worst massage ever!!! Since there's no reply feature to reply to owners comment I'll expand my initial review. I appreciate the refund. NO!!! We will never, absolutely NEVER return to your establishment. We had a very valuable afternoon scheduled for massages and lunch. That my massage was so awful that I got up and left mid massage says quite a bit. I'd also like to share that this is my first ever Yelp review. That is literally how awful this massage was. I don't believe in leaving bad reviews especially for a small business. However this was an absolute bait and switch experience. What you are selling is a premium massage with actual massage therapists. What you have is absolutely not well trained people working there. That my back was essentially attacked with your therapists elbow for 20 minutes while i was asking him to stop using his elbow speaks volumes. Next time I will be sure to wait until an actual good spa has an opening. My advice is to be clear of what you actually are selling which is not actual massage therapists. You have a nice space which is very misleading. This was beyond disappointing. I've been looking forward to it since I scheduled my appointment. I should of waited for a real spa to have an opening. I get a massage at least once a month and really haven't had a bad experience but this place was fantastic. I woke up yesterday after a horrible night of no sleep and my back was in excruciating pain and I could hardly walk or sit comfortably. My regular massage therapist is traveling so I had to search for somewhere new. I remember driving past Menlo Massage Therapy several times and noting that they accept walk-ins. I gave them a call and they were able to fit me right in. I opted for the deep tissue massage and it was indeed deep with strong pressure and just what I needed to release the deep pain I was experiencing. I believe my masseuse's name was Zulia and she was very strong and knew how to work my body through the pain and tension I had. When I return, I will ask for her again. Today I am sore from the massage (as to be expected) but am so much better than yesterday - plus I was able to sleep last night! - and credit that to the bodywork I had done at Menlo Massage Therapy. If you are looking for a more relaxing/no work involved on your part type of massage, then I'd ask for a Swedish massage. My deep massage involved pain and release: the type where you must breath deeply and fight through the pain. Talk with the woman who answers the phone (I think her name was Lena) and explain what type of service you would like and I think you will have a good experience. I also felt the price was fair, the facility was very clean, nicely decorated and had an all around peaceful vibe. Recommended and so glad I gave them a try! read more
